Great Gyro in Duluth; if in need of a quick bite , this is the place; The service is quick; this is at the time of this review a CASH only place . Definitely worth it
I had a massive headache, smashed two gyros, headache gone. Coincidence? I think not. Gyros are the food of the gods and Kosta's delivers
I had a hankering for gyros and this place did not disappoint. Excellent, in fact. Nice people, too. Cash only.
Open until 2 am. Cash only. I get the gyro with double meat and a side of their delicious Taziki sauce. $8 gyro with dbl meat! Meat is shaved off skewer. Very filling
Stopped for a quick bite on our way to granddaughters soccer game. We thought about leaving as soon as we walked in but we didn't have a plan B because of the time factor. Went ahead and ordered gyros, they were average at best. Our...main complaint is the place is dirty!!!! The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. My wife decided not to chance the restroom because of the appearance of the rest of the place. They leave their back door open so we had flies wanting to share our food. We won't be going back.More
Flavor ,quality and size I'm drooling writing this. A secret recipe 40 years plus old a must to visit price low quality over the top.
Kostas make the best gyros in town! Tried others but no beats his. Even the wagon ones are great too.
Kosta's Gyros is a perfect little dive in Superior with cheap Gyros, burgers and fries. It's not fancy by any means but it sure is good on the cheap!
I've been eating kostas gyros since they had the cart down. Whenever they're in Solon or the fair or Gordon I'm in! And be sure to get gyro meat for gyro omelets!
I love it here. It's homespun but comfortable. In the winter it's drafty to sit and eat your meal, but the people are friendly and warm. The food is great and reasonably priced. Great value for what it costs elsewhere.
The Original Gyros are absolutely incredible! The meat is sliced fresh and the sandwich is put together very generously. Their pitas & gyro sauces are fantastic. Just the right amount of onion & tomatoes, too. I had fries that were perfectly cooked and flavorful. I...came back a couple of days later for a Greek salad; just as expected....fresh & enough for two people. only one size is available. The baklava looked fantastic, but I have been too full to try it yet. The restaurant is set up with some booths, for a short waiting period to get your freshly made order. I suppose patrons could eat there. It reminds me of the typical Chicago area gyro-to-go places. They offer chicken, family and jumbo packs, too!More
Do not let the old and somewhat run-down area of town where Kosta's is located keep you from stopping in for his amazing gyros. I like to think I am somewhat of a gyro afficianado, and have eaten them all around the country. Kosta's are,...simply, hands -down The BEST! Flavor, freshness, portion-size ( they don't skimp!) and if you are lucky enough to catch Kosta there, good conversation! My husband and I have relocated out of the area due to his work, so we find ourselves longing for the days when we could stop by Kosta's for gyros, hot and fresh seasoned french fries, and some discussion of family, politics, and life in general with the owner. My sister-in-law is from Connecticut, and craves Kosta's- of course we like to send her pictures of our gyros any time we can get back to Superior.. torture, pure and simple. Just writing this review has me craving one.More
I can't speak enough about these gyro's. I've been eating them for over 20 years and no one compares. All staff is like family and can deal with the bar rush. If you want food after 2:30 - they're right down town and I highly...recommend it. AND, pick up a pound so you can have gyro omlets in the morning :)More
Make sure you bring cash, because you'll want to get more than one gyro after trying one! We didn't try anything else since we only had $8, but it was enough to share a yummy gyro.
