Came in mid-afternoon for snacks. Great barbecue chicken nachos and beers. Cool laid-back place with beautiful women’s bathroom- felt like I was in Ireland. Nice waitress and friendly place. Will be back.

Kind of dark and closed in feeling. Food was tasty, but nothing special. Pretty much an average place. Our server, Madisen L, was pleasant and attentive. This always helps. If you need a quick bite, it's conveniently located on the main road in town and...prices aren't bad.More
AWUL!!!! If you want to be ripped off and robbed, eat here! Ordered fish and chips and crab cake sandwich. Fish was over cooked and a greasy mess, so asked to order a burger in its place. Burger was under cooked. Waitress brings bill and...we are charged for 3 meals! Manager refused to remove fish and argued we ordered it and had to pay because their food costs are high! We refused to pay and ended up calling the cops. Manager still refused to take off inedible food and cop says have to pay for what you ordered. Customer not right about anything here! Wow! $70 for crap food! DO NOT EAT here! Never been talked to and treated this rudely by a restaurant. The owner should be ashamed!More
An awesome stop for lovers of great pub food, historic buildings and an awesome vibe. Such a terrific place..... we were so excited to have stumbled upon it!
This is always a visit for us when we are in Cape Charles. Food is decently priced and tastes good! The wings are our absolute favorite.
We visited Kelly's Gingernut pub on a whim while vacationing in Cape Charles. What a great place. The building is very cool. The delightful hostess shared that it is in an old bank so has lot's of old charm. The hostess was great and seated...our party of 7. Our waitress was also great. One minor detail was the cleanliness of the table. They cleaned it before we sat down. I slid on a smashed french fry and my daughter who had our 7 month old grandson wiped the edge and top of the table around him since we all know babies put their mouths on everything, and the table was filthy. So maybe a deep clean of tables and menus might be in order. Aside from that we ordered drinks from the bar. Mosco mules that were good. For food 3 of us got the fettuccine alfredo with chicken which was delicious except maybe a tad too much pepper. 3 guys got the bacon bbq burger and liked it. My daughter got our grandson an order of the mashed potatoes and made his little night. Overall a great experience and would go back if we're back in Cape Charles.More
Great food and drink, but our table was very greasy. We also checked a couple of others and found same thing. A but of bleech and water was needed.
It's located right in the center of downtown. Stopped here for Sheppard's pie and a cold beer and had some of the best food we've had in a long time. Very nice pub with a great atmosphere. The bar area is very cool and the...decor is eclectic. We liked it here and would go here again when we're in town. The service and staff were very nice. I definitely recommend eating here.More
We self served to get the menu and seated. Menu is average! I order a bisque soup on this cold night and I wish it was served hot rather lukewarm. Fish N’ Chips were over fried. I gave 3 stars because the customer service in...the end, it was better than as we walked in and the coconut 🥥 cake was lovely! It is definitely a local pub, great for drinks and friendly atmosphere.More
Hot toddies took the chill off a cold and windy walk through Cape Charles. The teacups made us feel special. The fried oysters were fluffy and delicious! We love that in season and off, Kelly’s is always open.
We arrived early so we should have expected that they would be not quite ready. However, what started out questionable ended great. We were a little surprised at the menu prices, but when we were served, the portions were huge and enough to make two...meals. The seafood chowder was VERY thick, probably a little too thick. But it was full of seafood and a cup is enough for one person. The Reuben was described as “maybe the best that I have ever had.” It was fresh and cooked to perfection. The BLT must have had a pound of bacon and was on oversized grilled bread. Provided THREE meals including our take out leftovers. Recommend this place highly.More
This is a down home, local place. Food is wonderful. You can eat inside at the bar, at tables or outside
Was here before and opted for the Shepherd’s Pie which was good. They serve lunch until 4p which offered a moderately price meal menu. Seafood chowder was just too thick (mashed potato consistency) and fish taco had too much shredded cheese and needed slaw or...lettuce. Huge order of good French fries were good but too much! Nice waitress.More
This is a rather dark and dingy place that was out of several items on the menu at 6 PM. It was warm inside and the flies shared our meal with us. The burgers were very good!
A local restaurant with a variety of sandwiches on the main street. The service was good and price are reasonably. Parking available on the street for free.
