Amazing fish! It has a very light breading. Fish was very mild. It's a funny little hole-in-the-wall place and looks a little scrungy, but the fish is very fresh and tasty.

the place had very little options on the fresh seafood side, looked and smelled bad. I have avoided this place in the past, and will continue to avoid it in the future.
Looked forward to oysters and Dungeness crab with chowder. The fried oysters contained a microscopic amount of oyster and a ton of fried crust. The only crab available was a crab spread sandwich. The chowder was cool after a one block walk to the BNB....My daughter in law had halibut fish and chips and the halibut could have been frozen battered fish from Costco if it wasn’t so expensive. 3 people. 100 dollars. I hope it because we went out of season, but I won’t go back.More
Although this location was highly rated by other users, we cannot recommend it for a variety of reasons. The small building where you place your order is tucked away and a bit hard to find. It is very dingy and uninviting. Inside it is cramped...and quite smelly, especially of overused grease. There are lots of tables for outside seating, but the day we were there it was cold and rainy. Our order took quite a long time to prepare, and our two meals (fried clam strips, and salmon fish and chips, plus chowder) came to $46.50. That is a big ouch for two meals of this caliber. The clam strip were very basic (right out of a bag) and were also very chewy. The salmon fish and chips were way overcooked and also very very dry. Without tartar sauce they would have been inedible. There was an abundance of french fries, but they quickly got cold and unappealing. What a waste of money for us on this night.More
we've been coming to the old oregon smoke house for a few yrs, and did so for take out lunch/dinner last wednesday....we bought the garlic pepper smoked salmon, and the regular smoked salmon.....the food is excellent as always.....the staff is real friendly, informative, and fun....it's...great to buy from them for some of the freshest seafood around....More
The food was excellent and the portions are huge. I had the crab melt and loved it. The crab tasted fresh and sweet and it had fresh spinach, thinly sliced red onion, tomato and a lovely mayo type spread. I loved the French fries as...well. They were crisp and well seasoned. We went back two days later for a repeat performance. Crab Melt again and this time sweet potato waffle fries. I preferred the regular fries. I highly recommend it.More
The food is good but to me these types of restaurants at the Oregon coast are kind of the same. We had popcorn shrimp, fries and clam chowder.
I've been to Rockaway a couple times, but never tried this place, until now. It's a little pricey for fish 'n chips, but well-worth it once you take a bite. I went with my wife, and we shared an order of Halibut fish 'n chips...and Clam Strips. Both items tasted great. The halibut was nice flaky fillets with crispy thin breading, cooked perfectly. And the clam strips were nice, thick ,full pieces of clam in a little heavier breading than the fish. The taste was nice and fresh, just like you want at the coast. Also have to mention the fries were nice and crispy, without being too oily. Again, just looking at the menu this place might seem expensive. But once you try the food, and enjoy the true coast experience, (eating outside on wood picnic tables with the smell of the sea in the air) it's Worth the SqueezeMore
The best fish and chips on the Oregon coast. Not greasy! The chowder is wonderful, too! We called our order in and it was ready in 8 minutes.
We have visited here before many years ago and enjoyed it. This time it wasn't as good as we remembered it. The chowder, while not bad, was lacking something and was a bit watery. We'd try it again as we love chowder.
Had dinner there one evening. Good clam chowder. Nice to have outdoor seating. Family friendly, fast service.
Best fish and chips on the Oregon coast! Great location on Rockaway Beach and easy to get too. Perfect for after adventuring on the beach lunch or dinner.
The room is very small, you can only go in to order, then wait outside for your food . There are four big picnic tables outside. If it’s cold or windy, I probably won’t eat here. There are two long chairs along the fence, there...is a note on them says don’t sit on it. There is a baby chair, there is a note says the belt is broken. The fish and shrimp were very good, and they were not cheaper than a sit down restaurant. I don’t understand why they don’t fix the chairs.More
Absolutely the best seafood I’ve eaten in a long time! Ordered the cod basket, clam basket, crab cake basket and clam chowder, yummy!!
Had to wait 45 minutes for a to go order of soup. I have had better soup out of a can. The soup did not even deserve one star Fried food order three numbers after mine served first
