Really sad since the food was good but I couldn't come back to this place. The server was pleasant but the service was terrible. Sat down, waited for a long time given there were not too many people on the patio at the time. When...the server came out, she immediately went to the Caucasian man with his son, didn't even look our way which we found "puzzling"? Ok, you don't want to accuse someone of thinking hat way The server was pleasant so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. What I did think is that there was some unconscious bias happening at the very least since the Black woman behind me was waiting more than an hour to be served with her friend? Meanwhile I noticed that when white people came in, the server came up to them right away! Aside from this which can be debatable, the service was terrible. Waited way to long for everything. Didn't get utensils with the meal? Got one napkin for two orders of chicken wings, salad and an entree. The whole place just seemed chaotic. We even had to ask for the bill twice. Of course when we motioned to get up, suddenly the bill came promptly ;) Maybe they were just overwhelmed but......More

Came here for lunch to meet with a friend. It was mid week and it wasn't very busy, aside from what looked like a child's birthday party. We ordered the spinach dip with Pita chips to start and that came out piping hot. We also...had the Fish and chips and the chicken thighs with fries. Our server that day was prompt and friendly, she even gave me a suggestion for my seasoning on my chicken thighs (lemon pepper & sriracha lime) and I will admit it was a perfect blend, so I was happy with her input. The chicken was super tender and juicy. I had a left over piece and it was just as good the next day. The fish and chips was a huge serving. Batter was light and not over cooked. Although we did have good food and service, I felt bad for the staff and the child's birthday party were very messy. The children were throwing things on the floor and unfortunately none of the mother's were trying to stop them. I understand kids can be loud, but the amount of mess all over the floor was so unnecessary.More

Tried to reserve a seat on the patio, full. Reserved a seat inside for 7 pm. Got there and were seated. Noticed a table of 9 women across the room shouting and laughing with loud noise. Asked waitress and then manager to have them contain...their excitement due to noise level and chance of them spreading corona virus to each other and no masks. No action was taken, they should have been asked to leave? Wings were good but noise ruined our evening plus chance of corona virus spreading. If they want to have a party it should be in their own back yard, Kelsey’s should not allow it in this critical time of virus control.More

Made a reservation for the patio (which they lost). They put us on a makeshift secondary patio with one working umbrella for 4 tables. They refused to move us to a table with an umbrella after we asked to be moved to the other patio...which had more umbrellas and less sun saying they had no available tables (but there were a couple empty ones when we walked through. Then they seated the walk in older couple there without a reservation. We did not see anyone wipe down the table so I took out a lysol wipe and wiped it and the menu. The wipe was black afterward. We waited over an hour for our food in the blazing hot sun and when it came it was terrible, I could only eat half of my burger. Afterwards I was feeling sick so my mom picked me up. She noticed I had a huge sun burn on my face and I felt like vomiting. She called the manager to ask why were were refused another table when we booked a reservation. The manager was rude to my mom and did nothing to help or resolve the problem. After spending $60 for a terrible lunch and getting sunstroke afterward I will never go there again!!More

Food was over cooked, felt like this place was a breeding ground for fruit flies and definitely overpriced.

We walked into this restaurant at 12:30pm on a Sunday. There was 2 groups ahead of us - a group of 5 and a group of 3. No idea how long they’d been there waiting. We all stood around for a few minutes with no...staff in sight. I would say about 5 minutes later someone finally came over and greeted the first group. They asked them to wait a second while they set up the table. A few minutes later they came back and took the group to their seats. And no one came back to greet us or the group ahead of us. No acknowledgement our arrival (not sure if the family ahead of us was acknowledged or not) or said anything. A simple “we will be right with you” would have done wonders. A few more minutes and we left. If they were that slow seating us how would they be serving us! So disappointing. The restaurant was not packed. From the front door where we waited we could see 4 empty tables. Guess they were short staffed but those staff they have need a bit of customer service training. Some type of acknowledgment might have kept us there waiting but being ignored is not going to earn my business.More

Restaurant was recommended by a teammate from men’s hockey team. Great wings, the best I had in a while. Looks like a new restaurant Service was fast.

This is our first experience with Kelsey's. Unlike another reviewer, I like a bright restaurant. I want to be able to see my food. I loved the decor. (No...not intimate. I didn't expect intimate from the exterior.) Our server was friendly and quick. She made...some recommendations and those we went with were spot on. The nachos were a little dry. I with they layered the chips and toppings a little. Otherwise all the cheese goes with the first few nachos and then you are left with just a tray of chips.More

Kelsey's Pickering ....closest to our home, closed down a few years ago replaced by some other chain which I have not visited. We decided to visit Kelsey's Ajax. Since our last visit, the restaurant has re-branded, new exterior, new interior decor. I have to say...that we did not find the ambiance as intimate and cozy as the pre-branded restaurant. The lighting was so bright I actually needed sunglasses, the music was insanely loud that I could not concentrate. 9 - 10 big screen tv's ....... why?? The entire restaurant is a sports bar now. However, food, service and server were amazing!!More

I was very satasfied with the menu and the meals that were served. Fast service, great staff. Very clean restaurant.

Cold food, slow service, lousy taste. That was everyone else’s opinion ( there were nine of us). Funny thing is my soup was great and my salad ‘ok’. we live eight blocks away, and we haven’t been here in 10 years for a reason. Looks...like it’ll be another 10 years.More

Just went....sat in the bar area. Service was slow. First ordered drinks, decent but not quite cold enough. Ordered a checken quesidilla and a hamburger, the side being soup. The quantily was small, taste was alright, but not great. The cost was 50 dollars, not...even close to being worth it. We were in Oshawa around Christmas and went to the Kelseys , everything was better there.More
