The custard is fine here. The problem is the staff. We came with a group of 14 on a slow day. They made PLENTY of money from us. When the last adult from our group ordered a topping called crunchkoat, it turns out it was...a peanut topping. The guy working did not warn us and two of the children with us have a life threatening peanut allergy. We told him we couldn't take that, and he refused to serve us any further if we didn't pay for the cone we couldn't eat. We refused and he then slammed the window on us and put up a be right back sign. Horrible customer service. When I asked for his name he refused to give it to me and continued to berate me for not asking what the topping was before ordering it. Avoid this place if you don't want your vacation to be ruined.More

Not being from NY we had never heard of Perry's Ice cream. So we decided to give it a try. Good sized portions for the price and great toppings. we loved our dishes, glad we caught them before closing. Had ice cream and walked back...to the falls for the night light show.More

Although I only stopped by for an ice cold soda on a hot day (bottled, reasonably priced at $2, cash only - and, yes, they have sugar-free!), I was thoroughly charmed by this pop-art ice cream stand! To begin with, the Twist o' The Mist...itself is shaped and decorated to resemble a giant ice cream cone, with a "waffle cone" building and a "vanilla soft-serve" roof, embellished with swirls of "chocolate syrup" and a giant "cherry" at the top - a wonderful photo-op! :) But wait, there's much more: all the streetlamps surrounding the building and the parking lot are lit with replica custard cones; there's a winged buffalo sculpture(Buffalo wings, get it?) between the parking lot and the Misty Dog Grill next door; there's an eye-catching neon sign; there are coin rides straight out of the 50s, and probably literally so; there's a metal op-art fountain, along with benches, in the small open courtyard; and, best of all, one of the chairs in the courtyard is shaped like a giant silver hand!! Handicap access is just fine; there are no restrooms to my knowledge, but the Twist o' The Mist is a short walk (or wheel!) from One Niagara, which does feature an accessible restroom on its ground floor! :) FYI, this ice cream parlor is also located a block from the Rainbow Bridge, so users of the bridge's pedestrian walkway often stop here for refreshment on the way to or from Canada. I'll be going back soon, see you there! :)More

Ice cream place located very close to the New York side of the falls. Very reasonable prices compared to what you would pay anywhere on the Canadian side. They offer any type of ice cream treat you could imagine. I really enjoyed my hot fudge...sundae. I believe it’s actually custard they are offering. The only problem is service is extremely slow.More

Visited today at 10:15. Hours posted on web said open until 11. Open sign was lit up. Walked up to window and was ignored. Walked to next window and was rudely told they were closed. Had to request edit to Google to fix posted hours.

What can I say? Soft ice cream just a short walk from the Falls and Rainbow Bridge. Good stuff! The only one in the downtown area. Seasonal and not open in the winter months.

Wow, this place is gross. There’s garbage all over the lawn, the building itself has dirt and moss all over it, the fountain is running from a hose dragged across the lawn, all of the bushes are covered in spiderwebs, the paint on the building...is chipping off and faded, it really needs some serious TLC. The custard machine was broken, so the only options were the hard ice cream. But that’s only the hard ice cream they actually have, they were out of several flavors of that too. The girls inside looked like they hadn’t showered, I can only imagine what it looks like inside where they keep their food. The ice cream that we did end up getting was pretty good though. Would not recommend. Go to one of the other several ice cream places in the area.More

Great little spot to stop later in the evening and grab a cone. Twist custard was delish and my son raves about his shake. Cash only so be prepared for that and the service was a bit slow - but thinking the 2 ladies working...were fairly new.More
