About
About the Curragh In the small villages that dot Ireland, the pub culture plays an important role in social life: it is the social hub of the community. Half of the magic of Ireland lies in the people, for whom great conversation and good humor are at the very heart of a wonderful culture. For instance, in a town with a population of 1,000, there are often as many as 50 pubs. Village folks don’t sit in front of the television after supper, they meet at the local pub and don’t go home until everyone at the table has politely bought a round. We hope you will join us for some true Irish hospitality. Come inside, enjoy the warm, inviting atmosphere with friends and family. Or, during the warmer

We really enjoyed Curragh! So much so that we ate dinner here two nights in a row! First night we started with the Shrimp Ballyvaughan, which was delicious and followed with Fish & Chips and Shepherd's Pie. The cod fillets had a crisp Guinness-laced batter...that was perfectly fried to a golden brown while leaving the cod flaky tender. The shepherd's pie was delicious. Second night we shifted to the Dublin Burger and the Mash-up Bowl with crispy chicken. Not quite as filling as the first night, which was OK. Our servers, Kendra and Tristen, took good care of us.More

Stopped here for a late dinner on a Saturday while staying downtown. Restaurant was a short walk from hotel and not very crowded for a Saturday night, we were seated quickly. Server was friendly and helpful. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time...after orders were taken, tasty and plentiful.More

Had a great time. Went for a late lunch. Sat outside in the beautiful weather to enjoy the neighborhood. The food was tasty, the drinks were great, and Schafer, our server, was awesome.

Charming corner pub with a beautiful outdoor dining patio edged by gorgeous flower garden on one side and fun view of downtown on others. But, food was delicious. I got a Reuben and my husband got the fish tacos. He doesn’t usually say much about...food, but he raved about them. Mine was awesome as well. Fun experience. Would definitely go again.More

My favorite dishes are the Fish and chips, and the Irish stew. Also enjoyed their summer-only non-alcoholic beverage as well. Always enjoy dining outside.

Mediocre in every way, from the host stand to the service to the wait to the food. If you have food allergies, they have no desire to accommodate—I recommend you eat somewhere else. The best thing about this place is that they have a large...patio. We won’t be back.More

We had dinner here twice during our short stay in Holland at the beginning of June. The weather was wonderful and we ate outside which was a joy. The servers were helpful with my lactose intolerance and we all enjoyed our meals.

We visited here last year and had decent food and drinks. This time, not so much. Our food took over an hour to arrive because, “the kitchen printer ran out ink”. After our dinner it took 30 minutes to get our bill. After I gave...my CC to the waitress it took an additional 20 minutes and us reminding her that she had not returned the CC along with the itemized bill. The bill was wrong. We were billed for an additional entree that was never ordered. Two of our drinks were left off the bill but still resulting in a substantial loss. I marked up the itemized bill with corrections and we left. But only because we waited an entire extra hour due to poor service. The restaurant still billed the CC for the entire incorrect amount. “Never to return”.More

We stopped here while on vacation and unfortunately we weren’t really that hungry. However, we did have a few shareable bites that we enjoyed as well as great drinks. Service was quick and friendly and what we did have was delicious. We loved the Irish...stew and Guinness soup. The drinks were fantastic. Our next visit to Holland will include this restaurant.More

Our waitress Lindsey was exceptional. Went out of her way during a very busy time and short staffed to make sure my wife and I had a great experience. Totally recommend this restaurant and ask to be in Lindsey’s section. Finally, the Irish stew was...good. Add Guinness beer and it would be exceptional.More

Went a couple times during the visit First time just for drinks. Was nice. Good variety Went another time for dinner. They could not accommodate my latex allergy. After our third place in Hilland that after seated and tried to order food said they could...not accommodate. Very nice but very frustrating after the third place and having to leave to try to find another place for a birthday dinner. Did tell them about the allergy before we even sat down Vinyl gloves or nitrel work just as well.More

Great Irish fare: bangers and mash, Irish stew, Shepard’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, corned beef sandwich. We ate there 3 times on our visit, it was so good. And drank Guinness! We sat outside on the patio, a lovely place to be!

Irish pub with Guinness beer batter fish & chips! We were excited to try. Unfortunately the fish was so greasy, it had very little flavor. It fell apart on the plate and you could not pick it up. The location is great, right on a...corner of Eighth St. Beautiful outdoor dining area. Service was prompt, attentive and awesome. But the fish & Chips were awful. Fish was all we tried off the menu, so unable to comment on other selections.More
