Very clean, excellent food, and great service. This is a locally owned business that caters to peoples’ need for a good breakfast at a reasonable price. This a place I go back to over and over again.

Decent enough. Staff was friendly. Food was cooked fine & service was as it should be. It a lot of choices in area but this is fine.
I like my breakfast to arrive hot and to stay warm, and this spot was perfect for me. Hot coffee arrived quickly and was soon refilled by a busy but attentive waitress, who provided great advice. Homemade cinnamon raisin toast, hash browns, and a loaded...omelet arrived fresh from the griddle (15 feet away) and the omelet stayed warm for 30 minutes as I savored each bite. The toast was buttered on the inner faces and was just a bit thick and chewy. The omelet was thin but folded over several layers and held a variety of morning meats and veggies. I did ask the cook to marry me but she just laughed. I am not going to find a breakfast more worth the money anywhere. We arrived at 6 am on a Sunday and the parking lot already was one third full of pickups.More
Touring the New England States and just passing thru Skowhegan at breakfast time on a Sunday. What great luck because this was, by far, the best breakfast I've had in a long time - and I've had a bunch of great breakfasts. I'm a fan...of biscuits n gravy so I ordered thier S.O.S. I never had it prepared quite like this and man, it was awesome. My only regret is I probably won't make it back through here any time soon. I just can't rave enough about how good this was. Service and prices were excellent as well.More
We are regrettably wrapping up a glorious (save for a few cloudy days) month of July on a lake near Skowhegan. On our first Friday, we discovered Alice's Restaurant and been been back every Friday, often bringing guests. It will be our last stop of...out of town on at the end of the week. What immediately drew us in was a sense that we were partaking of some local color. The breafast menu is extensive and quite well prepared. The restaurant has been busy everytime we have been there which added a dimension of verve. The wait time for our meal was never unreasonable. The reason we returned on Fridays is because that is the only day Britanny is working. She is a crackerjack server and a pistol. We have no complaints whatsoever. We do, however have one suggestion: It would be helpful if you could provide an amusing, believable, socially translation of S.O.S. When our eight-year old grandson asked what S.O.S. meant, it caught us totally off guard. In the background stood his mother mouthing thewords"Do't you dare go there!" Needed breakfast in the morning. Local place recommended by a local worker. Was NOT wrong. Terrific breakfast. All the usual items on the menu. The corned beef hash was freshly made on grounds. Coffee was great. This is the place.
One of the places we frequent when we visit Madison. Not sure what's best, their berry pancakes (blueberry, raspberry or blackberry) or their homemade corn beef hash.
.Great breakfast, fast friendly service, large portions. It was busy but the service was good, received our breakfast in record time. SOS was delicious and vegie omelet was huge and perfectly cooked.
Server was excelent, food was great. Enjoyed the relaxed setting. The portions are huge and tasty too. We will return to get breakfast again.
Friendly staff. Great food. Had corned beef hash with big chunks of beef, great omelette. The best was the home made bread and the warmed cinnamon bun.
True diner food! This is a great place for a wide array of breakfast and lunch food served by helpful, friendly people. This is where locals eat so you know it's worth the trip!
I fealt the food was mediocre and server was not to pleasant nor proactive. I could deffanitly tell they must of switched coffee, it sucked.
Back from our winter adventures we hit up the old usual spot for breakfast. Generally crowded, we squeezed into the corner booth and ordered our typical breakfast. No disappointment to be had the food is just as we remembered. More than enough food for him...to finish so we have a box for the puppies.More
The only place in town besides McDonald's that serves breakfast. I love the pancakes with fruit and creme. They have a full breakfast menu. Quite crowded, not much space. Waitresses usually aren't 5 star that's why the 4 star rating. They are very busy and...often forget to check on coffee and refill waters, ect. They are notorious for forgetting everything it seems. I don't go often, but example. The last time I went she forgot to tell me that they didn't have creme for my pancake, I would've ordered something different. Time before that she forgot what customer asked for and brought home fries on her plate instead of hashbrowns, they did give her both items for FREE. Just a couple of things I noticed. They are friendly and compensating for their errors and the food is good.More
