This is the second time I have been to this location and they have messed up my order. I usually love Cracker Barrel, but they have screwed up twice and I won’t be coming back. I ordered the hash brown casserole bites as an appetizer...once and part of my meal the second time and the first time they forgot my appetizer all together and the second time they gave me hash brown casserole not the bites so when I told the waitress she told the kitchen and I was done eating my meal by the time they brought out what I originally ordered. By that time I was full.More

I went out to eat at Cracker Barrell last night with my family which was super busy. There were tons of people inside the store, who were not social distancing, not wearing masks, so we decided to eat outside. I asked the hostess to send...a waiter/waitress outside, which she didn't do. She kept seating other indoor customers first, so I asked the cashier who did call on the loud speaker for a waiter outside. The waiter was a nice young man who did apologize for that, but my daughter's sandwich came soggy, because they put the sandwich and corn on the same plate. Worst of all, when I went to go pay, this unmasked male customer cut in line. (They had feet showing the line starts here , with socially distanced feet). I politely told the man, "The line starts here Sir", and he started shaking his finger at me saying "You need to chill out!" (I was calm until that point, then I was upset). The cashier let the man, jump the line in front of 3 other customers and me. The other cashier told me "You need to let it go, it isn't worth it." Well, I asked for a manager, who came and he told the other maskless , male customer, who was berating me that he was "not in line" (The man did cut in line, and definitely was not in line. Cracker Barrell has feet stickers on the ground were the line is and the line was clearly marked on the ground.) Anyway, the manager did tell the other customer "Sir, she is correct, the line starts over here! You were not in line." However, the cashiers clearly didn't care if anyone cut the line. I am still upset that the cashiers allowed the male customer to muscle his way to the front of the line, to raise his voice to a female customer (me, who was actually in line.) Overall, a poor experience. Who wants to eat out if you have to be treated so disrespectfully? I even considered whether or not, I would have to call the police on the man who jumped the line and who was berating me. The male customer cut the line, and was behaving like an uncivilized barbarian. Overall, horrible experience, and not a classy place. I will not return, especially not when the restaurant is full.More

When we showed up, we were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. 45 minutes later we were finally seated. Our waitress took our order fairly quickly but that was the only thing quick. It took about 20 minutes for me to get a...cup of coffee and 50 minutes to get our food. Most of the food was lukewarm or even cold and had obviously been sitting a long time. We were never brought muffins or biscuits while waiting and then were told they were out of them when our food finally came. We sat for another 5 minutes while waiting for silverware... When the silverware came it was brought out in a fist of random numbers of forks and spoons and plopped in the middle of the table. We asked to speak to the manager and the waitress seemed annoyed saying she only brings the food out and can't help what the kitchen does. The manager laughed at us and made us feel worse about the situation rather than better. By now I had fully decided to leave a 0% tip for the 2nd time in my life but the manager while walking away said we could have some pie...with some attitude added. So I left a small tip for the pie, but it was more than deserved really. We will not be back.More

The area manager, Mario was visiting this day. So the kitchen was clean. The food was good, service was good, mgmt. visited the table, cashier was polite. The only thing I did not care for was the portion sizes. My bowl of fried okra had 9...pieces of okra in the bowl. The chicken and dumplins were good just a skimpy portion. My friend portions were skimpy on two of his three sides. I would rather be charged more than leave with my belly empty. If they were doing this to impress Mario, by reduced portion sizes I think he would believe them to be a little on the small side.More

My sister, son, and I ate a late breakfast here. We were seated around 10:20. The server took our drink order. I asked her for biscuits and jelly because as a Cracker Barrel customer of over 20 years and having visited several locations in the...US(I go on many road trips and Cracker Barrel is my first stop.) She made a face and told me in a snotty way that 2 months ago due to "policy" they no longer bring biscuits or cornbread to the table before the meal. She told me that if she brings it to the table before the meal, she will have to charge me for it. I told her that I did not see why we couldn't have the biscuits while we wait for our food, I mean after all, they come with our meal, so we are paying for them anyway. She repeated that it was policy and walked away. It took over 40 minutes to get our food! This would not have been an issue if we had our biscuits first. We were so hungry, we ate our food even though it was lukewarm. I also noticed that the portions were small. My sister said that her fried eggs tasted terrible. Server also insulted me! I asked her about our food and she felt the need to say, "oh, your daughter?" Then she rolled her eyes, threw back her head and laughed! I told her that I felt she was implying that I looked "old" and she said with an exaggerated giddiness, "Sorry." I did not feel that she meant the apology at all! I went to pay the bill and was in line waiting for the cashier. I was second in line and after the person ahead of me was finished, I was next, or so I thought. The cashier ignored me and waited on the person BEHIND me who was clearly a regular customer there that they must have liked. I told the cashier nicely that I did not appreciate being skipped and mind you, I am NOT one to complain or lose my temper at a restaurant or in public, but the cashier RAISED her voice at me and angrily said "you were looking around." I was NOT looking around at all; I was waiting in line. Before I could say anything else to the cashier, another young female worker came around the counter and told me "I am sorry you did not like it here." I told her that if I wanted subpar and rude service that I would've gone to IHOP, Waffle House, or Mcdonalds. I also said that I felt my $50 was wasted there and I was sorry we came as we did not feel welcome. She asked me in a nasty tone if I wanted a manager and I said "no, I just want to leave because I feel sick." I was and still am extremely upset. I expected alot more from Cracker Barrel. I lodged a complaint with corporate and called other Cracker Barrel locations to verify about the new "biscuit policy." It was explained to me that they usually come out with the meal but if the customer requests them BEFORE the meal, then the request will be followed. This location apparently doesn't get that. Check out the other reviews because I am not the only one that feels this location is bad. I will never return to this location and my sister, who just moved to Covington, will not come back here. This place needs a complete overhaul! :(More

I went here two weeks ago with a friend. Our waitress didn't give us our food another lady did. She told us that our waitress will be bringing the rest of it. We were almost and then our waitress came to check in on us....We told her that we didn't get everything that we ordered. She seemed shocked. She came back with some of it. But I was still missing one thing that I had ordered. I just assumed that it was just a bad day. I stopped by today about 40 mins before lunch with my sister. We order our food when we got to the table. 40 mins past and still no food. It wasn't packed so I was a little shocked by it. We finally got our food and it was a little cold. The waitress seemed like she was having a bad day. Again I tried not to hold it against them. When we went to go pay my sister was waiting in line. The lady at the counter called the guy behind her. My sister said something. The lady wasn't very nice about it. So my sister did tell them that she wasn't happy with our service. We paid and left. I do not see myself coming back to this location again.More

I’ve been seeing the new advertising about their new menu item ‘Southern Fried Chicken’. Being from the South and having eaten my fair share of fried chicken, they missed the mark. Reminds me of the chicken you’d get on a TV dinner. Appears to be...pre-fried and baked to heat up on order. It was a one-time deal for me.More

It has been a while since we ate here due to problems the last couple of visits. We decided (foolishly) to try again today. We were seated and our waitress took quite some time to stop by and when she did, it was to tell...us she would come back in a few minutes to take our drink orders. She was mumbling and quite hard to understand and seemed lost in another world. When she came back about 10 minutes later, we had a couple of questions regarding the menu which she could not answer. (Things a server should know about the menu like: what kind of soup do you have?) She took our drink order and said she would be back with the answers. Our drinks came (no straws offered) and she started to leave without giving us the answers to our questions. She went back to the kitchen and came out and mumbled the answers as she went by. We still did not get straws despite asking for them. At this point, we knew it was time to leave and asked to speak to the Manager on the way out. We explained our 20 minute experience and he asked us to please stay and he would get another waitress to assist us. Reluctantly, and again, foolishly, we agreed. The second waitress was quite pleasant and much better, however, our food took over 30 minutes to arrive. When it did, some of my side dish was slopped over the side and actually lying on the table. (It was a different server who brought the food to the table.) My wife had a breakfast plate and the scrambled eggs were still very runny and raw inside, the sausage was burnt on one side (placed downward so as not to see it), and the country ham was so overcooked it may as well been jerky. There were also no pancakes with her meal as described. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes to get someone to fix the pancake and raw egg situation. Needless to say, after waiting for over an hour for a sandwich and a breakfast plate, this was our last visit to this particular Cracker Barrel!More

My wife and I needed to shop for a few things at Kohl's and Academy in this same shopping center, and stopped at Cracker Barrel just before they opened. For two of us we had: - a couple fresh squeezed orange juices and coffees, -...a Fresh start sampler ( yogurt, granola, two eggs, bacon, and a blueberry muffin), - a Mommas French toast with two eggs and bacon. All very good. And plenty of food (my wife brought her blueberry muffin home). They were fairly busy being a Sunday morning but we were seated and waited on right-away. This Cracker Barrel is just north of I-12 on the Pinnacle parkway frontage road.More
