While in Chicago, I knew we needed to try Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza and many people I knew recommended Lou Malnati's. The Oak Park restaurant was perfect for us on our way to see the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. My wife and I...split a salad and a meat lover's deep dish pizza. Everything we ate was amazing and the service was very good. In addition it was a great value as it was one of lesser expensive meals we had. We both walked away stuffed and very happy with our lunch.More
We tend to eat off hours at restaurants when we are traveling. The staff was so nice. I don't care for deep dish pizza but they had other options. We ordered a thin crust pizza which was delicious.
Two of us (my son and I) shared a thin crust pizza at Lou Malnati's, and found it quite good. I don't think it is extraordinary, but it was well seasoned and well cooked. Service was very good as well.
With as many employees they having running around all over the place - two hostesses, waitress, then young men bring food, you would think they would have someone available to clean their nasty, filthy bathrooms!!! No toilet paper, used toilet paper, paper towels all over...floor, garbage cans overflowing. Pizza is good, but not nearly as good as at other Lou Malnati locations around Chicagoland. Other locations pizza is alot more flavorful and you can actually taste the buttercrust. Don't order thin crust, because the cheese is actually bright white in color, never cooked at all.More
Waited for pizza delivery for 25 minutes late. The driver never came. I has to call then and they told me they tried to deliver.
Ordered 2 pizzas for pick up. Provided description of car & payment, arrived on time. Called the number when we arrived, listened to recording about arriving on time & please be patient. No problem! We had the cash tip ready for the person bringing our...order out. However, when the young woman picked up the call, she told me “you have to come in” & hung up. Not cool!More
I'm not a real pizza lover to be honest; but eating here I could easily become one. THIS is why Chicago is known for pizza. It was perfection. Vicki, our waitress, was exceptional and patient. She answered all of our questions willingly. She has worked...there many years which also speaks so well of the establishment. I highly recommend it for the freshness of taste and authenticity.More
We went here to try the deep dish pizza. It was good. The sauce wasn't too sweet like many other Chicago style pizzas. In addition to the pizza my children ordered some pasta and chicken dinners. To my surprise they brought out these meals 15...minutes before the pizzas. I knew the pizza would take longer to bake, but I fully expected them to plan accordingly and prepare the food so it would be ready all at once. We were not the only table that experience this as others around us had this happen as well. We had to sit forever to get our check and pay. Once the food was delivered we didn't see our waitress again until I tracked her down for both us and the table next to us.More

100% Tasteless and an embarrassment to Chicago. They seem to be taking advantage of COVID by lowering their standards with cheap cheese, tasteless sauce, and fatty meats. I've been going to this location since it opened and it has been getting worse every year.
I ordered a thin crust first buy my neighbor strongly recommended the deep dish, saying that this is one of the two best deep-dish in Chicago. So I called again and replaced the deep-dish Lou with the earlier thin one. For years, my whole family...is not fans of deep-dish at all since we don't like thick crust with greasy sources. however, this one surprised all of us! The crust is not "deep" at all. The reason why it is called deep-dish is that the pizza has a "deep curb" so the sources can stay within the "plate". the crust is thin, not greasy, and the sausages are awesome together with everything else (pepper, garlic, Roma tomato, mushroom, cheese, etc.). You don't need anything else to add on and just order it! The time to pick up is actually 45 minutes but it deserves waiting. Large size serves a family of three and we can only accomplish 2/3. The price is 39, fairly reasonable if you look at the quality and the quantity of the meat, vegetables, and sources. Storngly Recommended Lou deep-crust, you would never regret to have a try, like us.More
Deep dish pizza worth the trip. Spectacular service with a smile. Pizza was delicious. Very filling and satisfying for dinner. Great drink selections and buzz of the room made for a great night.
Pizza was great, fast service! We just wanted to try their famous pizza, and it is really different from "regular" pizza by far.
We usually eat pizza here...because it's our favorite pizza (especially the Lou!). We've enjoyed appetizers and salad with our meal as well. It's a busy, bustling place but we've always had great service in spite of that. It's a great Oak Park restaurant!
