We had a reservation and were seated promptly. I would recommend this as it is a pretty small place. Our server was friendly and happy to offer suggestions. Our daughter had a few sushi choices and enjoyed them all. We started with the shishito peppers...and shrimp dumplings - both very good. Our entrees were the Japanese curry udon and the Japanese curry. The noodles were great and the portions were huge. We could've easily shared shared these! Everyone really enjoyed their meals and left full and happy.More

The food and presentation was amazing and so delicious. Our issue, even though we were clear upfront, that we were not familiar with Asian food and would appreciate guidance in what to order, the server was not helpful. We had to drag suggestions out of...him, which put a damper on the experience. I feel we missed an opportunity to order some spectacular items. We have previously had a wonderful experience in 2 other ski towns with Asian restaurants.More

Best sushi and sashimi we’ve ever had. Great selection-didn’t know it could be this good. Types of salmon, butter fish and grouper we’d never had. Also great service. We had a combo sashimi platter and combo nigiri plate. Both were excellent. The food is certainly...pricey. We spent $150 with no drinks. But it was a great experience.More

Surprisingly good sushi in this mountain community. We are very particular about our sushi. We eat it a couple of times a month and have dinned extensively in Japan (probably the “gold standard”). The king salmon and yellowtail nigiri were as good as we have...ever had. The spicy scallop hand roll was outstanding. Well prepared and executed. Make reservations as it can get busy, especially on weekends.More

Ordered the tempura, avocado rolls, and asparagus tempura rolls, and everything was really good. Their tables are covered in white paper, and they lent my 3 yo crayons to draw. We had a very pleasant experience.

Came here tonight for dinner and really enjoyed the experience. We sat at the sushi bar and could watch everything being made. The server was very helpful for me picking out gluten free items. The food was fresh and delicious, we will be back!

We've been going to Breckenridge over Christmas for about 10 years. We've had Christmas Eve dinner at Mountain Flying Fish for at least the last five. With all the take-out only in Summit County, we continued our tradition and ordered take out from MFF. We...ordered Edamame, Pork Shumai, Soft Shell Crab, Miso soup (for 1), Teriyaki Chicken and a "Breckenridge" which is various rolls selected by the chef at $170. Our total order for 7 people was about $227 before tax. Unfortunately, our take away experience was not nearly as good as our in person dining in the past. No complaints about the Edaamame, Pork Shumai or Miso soup. But the Teriyaki Chicken was dry as the air in Breckenridge and the various rolls selected by the chef were at best meh (our local IN Kroger has better sushi). The Soft Shell Crab were meh as well. While we will return to MFF in the future, we will never allow the chef to pick our sushi rolls, there is no value.More

We had a taste for sushi and felt MFF would be a good choice, based on the TA rating and reviews. We arrived close to their 5 o'clock opening on a Tuesday night right before it started raining. Everything started out great. Seated immediately. Our...waitress, Syd, did fine. Then once we turned in our 5 roll sushi order, we feel their near excellent performance fell off a cliff. Slow to make rolls and the most difficult to make and most expensive roll, their "House Special" roll ($18) came out alone after we finished the Edamame app + 3 minutes. Then 3 more came out when we were already done with the 1st roll. The Tuna roll ($10.95) did not come out until we finished the other 3 rolls + about 10 minutes. I do want to add that the rolls/food served was good. Syd kept us patient as best she could. Place was full but with limited seating, due to Covid 19. Rain appeared to reduce business and stopped by the time we were done. We found it best to park in the Tonopah lot around back. There's a nice patio in front of this 2nd floor eatery.More

Ordered dinner to go and it was fantastic. I usually don't like sushi as carry out, but it was delicious and the hostess who took our order over the phone and then greeted us upon pickup was incredibly kind and helpful! Really great!

After a long day of ATV trail riding we were wanting something to eat and man did this place hit the spot! The sushi was on point and they even custom made a roll for my 13yr old son who is very picky! The waiter...was awesome and friendly staying attentive to our every need/request. From the moment we sat down we had drinks and shortly after the food started and it didn’t stop coming until we said we couldn’t eat any more.More

First of all the service was excellent. However my wife's and my friends chicken curry was overcooked and inedible in parts. They bought some more chicken but alas that was tasteless. My beef teriyaki was good and the soft shell crab starter was excellent. I...think that we would have been better trying some of the many traditional dishes sushi, sashimi etc. To make the evening better we were not charged for the chicken curry. We would definitely give this place another go..More
