We came here for one reason, I saw a picture of the cinnamon roll pancakes and had to try them. I was not disappointed. I only ordered a half portion which was plenty (two pancakes). The waiter also brought me double cream cheese frosting which...was really good. I had a side of hash browns and those were just ok but it was a large portion. My wife had the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. She loved the green beans the most and the turkey was moist. Overall a quality meal.More

My husband and i stopped here for breakfast on our way to the Aerial Tram. It was pretty busy, but we were seated quickly. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was pretty good. I had the German pancake platter. The pancake is...light with lemon and sugar. My husband had eggs benedict. We enjoyed our breakfast.More

My family and I looked forward to eating at Elmer's restaurant since we had visited 2 years before. The food was reasonably priced and the kids enjoyed the food which is hard to find. However, our experience was anything but satisfactory. We had anticipated the...homemade milkshakes and looked forward to those all day. But, we were told the new owner had come in October and revamped the menu and took milkshakes off the menu. Given it was late we stayed anyway. The kids ages 14 and 10 were tired an hungry. I was torn between a Rueben and breakfast but I hadn't had a good Rueben in a while and ordered. First of all everyone knows a Rueben is GRILLED. This wasn't. It came a little burnt and just toasted the grisly corned beef was heated in a microwave which turned it into rubber and overheated. It was inedible. I took off the meat and just ate a sauerkraut toasted sandwich. It was too late and we had to get the girls to bed. My granddaughter who order pancakes had to wait until we were leaving to get the grapes that came with her order. I felt sorry for the waiter, he was trying his best but you could tell he had been there for a long time and the new owner was making it difficult for him to earn a living.More

We were looking for a place to stop on our drive from Sedona to Lax . We decided Palm Springs was close enough to get to the airport on time but far enough for a sensible break also. The food was delicious, the service friendly...as advertised and the prices and parking easy. Definitely recommend for all travellersMore

Family of 5 visited on a Friday morning for Brunch. We were quickly seated after being given the option to dine inside or outside. Alex was our server and was great to deal with. The menu was extensive and he talked us through a couple...of questions we had and was very patient while we deliberated on our final orders. Pleasingly, there were several gluten-free options to choose from and Alex kindly swapped out the biscuit for fruit on one particular dish. The meals were served promptly, were flavorsome, and of very generous proportions that kept us going all day. Would definitely recommend Elmers.More

This hip-looking neo-diner seems to specialize in breakfast-type fare. My half sandwich of ham and cheese was pretty bland, and the salad that accompanied it was ordinary and small. My wife said her cobb salad was good and the portion large. Prices were high--usual for...Palm Springs. Service was very slow, especially since we got there after 1:30 p.m.More

We were looking for a nice family restaurant for brunch on the last day of our vacation. Elmer's was just lovely. We sat on an outside patio which was not noisy. Service was very good and the food was excellent.

we frequent this place when in Palm Springs area. Very friendly staff, good food, and a definite place to check out if you’re in the area. I love the German pancake.

I have passed through Palm Spring many times but finally stopped here as it was just down the road from our hotel. It did not disappoint, I tried their famous German pancake: light and thin with tall edges (like deep dish pizza) with powdered sugar...and lingenberry butter) - wonderful! It also came with two huge thick slices of ham and two eggs! I had not had a German package in perhaps 50 years (as a kid bac in the Midwest). My wife had the chicken soup and found it had just the right balance of seasoning and consistency. However, even though we got in just before the lunch rush, because we both have worked in the restaurant business, we were very impressed at how well run is this restaurant. In this post-pandemic world of overpriced eateries with grumpy wait-staff and mediocre food it was a refreshing experience just to watch and appreciate why this business is still around after 63 years. For example, we noticed that everyone serving and clearing dishes and seating people had a great attitude. Everyone was working as a team and every person was pulling their weight. I will always support businesses that treat their employees with dignity and respect.More

Contrary to the other glowing reports on TA I found the food here to be overall mediocre. Got the fish and shrimp combo plus a side of clam chowder. The chowder was good. The slaw lacked flavor. The fish breading was OK but the fish...itself was mushy.More

I’m only leaving a review because there is another review about a vegan veggie patty. Their “Morningstar” patty has eggs in it. Nothing vegan but fruit, fries lettuce, veggies, and maybe some bread. Their coffee is great. I went with non vegans and they thought...the food was delicious. I only had fries. Nothing special. Atmosphere, view (we set on patio ) and staff were great.More

We chose Elmers based on the reviews and the location. It was just as posted, good food at a good price. The wait staff was very friendly and service was good. We chose the lighter option for fish and chips, offering fewer pieces of fish....It was a great choice & I would definitely recommend this place is you’re looking for good food at a reasonable price.More

Elmer's is the place for 1950's nostalgia, reminding me of Sunday dinner with at a family restaurant when I was 4 or 5. The service was wonderfully attentive, the food (we had salads and soups) prepared professionally and, mostly, delicious. My only complaint was the...vaunted clam chowder was not what I've come to expect: thick, flavorful and full of clams. But we'd go again, next visit to the area.More

Don't know their prices but they are very reasonable and on par with Denny's or other chains. Just much better food.
