Ate here two days ago. We got meat and were content with our choice. Also got to try local gin. I loved that they bring the ingredients to your table and mix the drinks right in front of you.

Went following recommendations, and we were not disappointed with the food. But we expected more of the service. Our waiter was apathetic, and the experience as a whole was mediocre.
It’s a great place with big option on menu that are original and all are very tempting the salmon sorrentino, the pork with plum sauce and the cream brûlée all was delicious . The decoration and the service also is very nice
"Tierra de Azafranes" is by far the best restaurant in Tandil and the region. I had the privilege to have dinner there last night, and the food, service and attention of the team at Tierra de Azafranes have no equal. I started with a fabulous...salmon, prepared raw and cured with herbs, a delicacy with the unique sweetness of the fish perfectly balanced with herbs and a citrus-based sauce, followed by a chicken, mushroom and 'Azafrán' (saffron) risotto perfectly cooked with the exact balance of starch and the savoury of the mushroom base. To finish dinner, we had fish, on a Roquefort sauce, with crushed potatoes and exceptional spinach in white cream. We accompanied all of it with the absolute best malbec you can have, Rutini, decanted in the brand's exclusive glass and served precisely at the perfect temperature (a rarity in Argentina). Impeccable service, the most friendly and accommodating team and an atmosphere that balance the enjoyment of some of the most exquisite tastes with the home feel of a great place to have a relaxed conversation, a laugh and an overall great time. It has been a long time I have had an experience like Tierra de Azafranes, thanks to the whole team for making me feel back at home.More
Great tasty food: Highly recommended, Risotto de atún y espinacas and Risotto al Malbec. Bondiola c batatas y lasagna veggie are a Must! A place to come back anytime you visit Tandil.
In Argentina, the capital of asados (BBQ) it is hard to find good restaurants for Seafood combined with rice. The restaurant Azafranes in Tandil is one of this oases. All the plates - I couldn't test them all - look really delicious. My Risotto with...Seafruits was perfect and came close to a similar dish along the coast of Italy. Also the fish casserole looked very yummy. The Pannacotta was just perfect, like I know it from Italy. The variety of wines is good as in most of good restaurants in Argentina. The temperature of the Pinot was perfect. The service of the mozza (waitress) was very nice and professional. The prices are in the range for this kind of food and restaurants. The restaurant was full of guests and it was on a rainy wednesday evening. The atmosphere was a bit loud. The interior of the restaurant is OK. For this level of food and service, I would appreciate if the tables would have white tablecloths instead of this ugly red plastic things. It would change the atmosphere completely and make it much more nicer. Overall, it is one of the best restaurants in Tandil or it is the best.More
They didn't accept CREDIT cards, debit only. Overall the food and service was great, would recommend, but they DON'T accept credit cards (mastercard, amex, visa, discover).
Best sea food in Tandil! Well served, amazing place. The simplicity of the place is the perfect setting for an astonishing variety of great dishes, and a great wine selection to match every step. Our waiter was great, and they helped us enjoy our evening!...Congrats Tierra de Azafranes!!More
We had a lovely dinner with amazing food and a great server. I had a super seafood risotto and my husband lamb homemade ravioli . We shared an outstanding pannacotta, as the best we had in Italy. All the food looked great and it was...hard to choose. Make sure you make reservations Placed was full! If in tandil make room to visit!More
We had the "picada de pescado" and were impressed not only with the quality of the food, but the price and service was excellent. One of the highlights from our trip to Tandil.
A very nice restaurant with a cosy backyard where you can sit in open air, and if it rains they cover the roofs. Waiters very helpful and spoke a little English too. We ordered Plata el Dia, a big portion with all kind of seafood....Very tasty.More
Rare drinks to enjoy, since the beguining. Marvellous taste and view on fishing food. Desert to choice in a not usual way. Employees at table
Try the seafood. Not expensive, but not cheap. Staff is polite, food is good, not much else to say about it.
Warm greetings from the owner Ricardo began a fabulous dining experience. The food was exquisitely presented and a joy to the palette. Reservations are definitely required as it appeared that as many were turned away as those who were seated enjoying the food. My only...regret is that I was only able to enjoy one meal this trip. I will return. Gracias Ricardo.More
we went with my wife and kid (4 years old) the restaurant is very nice place with very good food and with very kind staff, the only point is the washrooms are upstairs and this can be an issue for some people. We really enjoy...the food and if you want you can do take away . i recommend itMore
