This is the best restaurant in Mongolia. Authentic Japanese made food and cakes. The udon soup, curry, and chicken sandwich is amazing. I love the rare cheese cake! I think this was the first Japanese restaurant opened in Mongolia. Visit my Tik Tok page at...mongoliafoodie for my recommendations on the best restaurants in Mongolia.More

Always love to visit for a quick bite of Fried Chicken with Rice and Miso Soup. Interiors remain unchanged for long long time. Least bother about it anyway.

I can't possibly say enough good about this place. There was a line out the door but they took orders as we waited so the food was pretty much right when we sat down. Had the fried chicken. Was to die for. The miso soup...was awesome, the price was just right and the portions were perfect. To top it off, the cream puff was insane. Best restaurant in the city. It deserves all the praise it gets.More

This has to be one of my favourite places in the whole of UB. Katsu Curry is great value and is always a hit with me. I hope this place never changes... it's perfect as it is.

This restaurant is very tiny. Long wait for a table, but so worth it! I had an udon soup that was spectacular. For desert, I ordered the apple cheesecake. I loved it so much, I bought a whole one to take to a dinner party...the next day. As I write this review, I am planning on going there tomorrow... can't wait.More

Carry out, to-go order. Took almost 30 minutes. Food was average quality, average overall. Nothing special. Insufficiently staffed.

I love going to Sakura bakery every now and then. Except the fact that it's packed all the time and we have to stand in line to get in, it's a terrific experience. The price is reasonable and the location is great

Authentic Japanese small restaurant and bakery, simple, but very nice. A great value for money! I love the Udon soup and cakes. Very convenient for lunch. But take care...very busy. May be you will wait a little bit...

I had lunch with a colleague yesterday at the Sakura Bakery, The Sakura is an old favorite of his. The venue is tiny, and was packed with patrons this lunch time. The menu is tiny, comprising rice and noodle dishes. My colleague and I both...chose the fried chicken cutlet with rice and soup. It was fine. A steady stream of diners filed in and out of the tiny restaurant during our visit. The cheek-to-jowl seating arrangements ensure that you can fully appreciate the omnipresent "Slurp" sound of dining, so characteristic in this part of the world. For dessert we enjoyed the cream puffs, which are heavenly. The prices are very moderate, but the turnstile ambiance is not for me.More

I've gone a few times and there is no denying that it's good but PLEASE renovate your space - it feels a bit dirty and unpleasant to sit down and eat there. I feel like it has so much potential but the space kills me....Not a diss to Sakura, just a plead for a new cleaner spaceMore

Ulaanbaatar is not known for its food culture and great restaurants, but Sakura bakery is a must try place in town. Owned by a Japanese chef and his Mongolian wife, the restaurant offers great Udon, Curry and other simple Japanese dishes which never disappoints! Great...value as well! It is only 3 minutes walk from the State Department Store. And don't forget to try their Rare Cheese Cake! It is a bakery after all and their baked goods are delicious.More

Their lunch menus are an excellent value at 7000 Tugrik. Try their Japanese style fried Chicken, it is much better than the Kentucky version, as it comes with miso and rice. Their cheese cake and cream is very special.

Small family restaurant, centrally located in Ulaanbaatar. Good prices and great food. Small menu but everything tastes great. It can get packed with all of the people that like the food, but they are generally very quick.
