Beautiful views. Would recommend lunch. Dinner menu very limited, small portions & expensive. There used to be an all day menu available with more choices.

Great. Hotel, very good staff and good decoration in our room ,a really nice set up, we only stayed for one day but we will be back
This is one of my all time favorites restaurants I have ever been to. I care about ambiance more than I do food but this place has both! The huge windows give you a spectacular view of the mountains surrounding the resort. We ate there...twice during our 5-day stay and would have loved to eat there a 3rd time. The first time I had their chicken bahn-mi and fries. The sandwich was delicious and the fries were excellent. The second time I had grilled trout over a bed of vegetables. The variety of vegetables and the delicious lemon sauce were my favorite. My husband had lamb loin which was cooked to perfection. Both times we were there our servers were attentive and friendly. Desserts were good too. We had the bauhaus mousse dessert - expensive and worth it the first night. The second night we had the chocolate cake which was very good.More
Reviews are strong. Prices were considerably higher than earlier reviews. Entrees were $58-65. Steaks were good. Lamb was tough. Server had no apparent knowledge of wine. The red wine was served hot. If you are going to mark wine up 3x retail or more, you...should know to have a wine fridge so the wine can be served properly. Very disappointing based on reviews, and we felt the prices were out of line highMore
The dishes lean toward flavorful simplicity. Not quite down to three-ingredient Italian, and involving at least on the lamb loin, some foam which I had thought was becoming obsolete as deserved. The octopus was tender, spiced interestingly, and prettily presented though over-salted. The lamb loin...was less flavorful than it could be -- the chef could consider aging it another week under the right conditions. One really should get the best lamb in the world in Colorado (not New Zealand) but this was a bit shy on both flavor and tenderness. Nicely cooked, slightly over-salted to my taste, and well-presented except for the foam which among other shortcomings dissolved like thin pocked cooked egg white. We never order chocolate cake but did so here, called I think 9-layer, but I counted four, not sure what they were counting. It was great -- like home-made, in a very lucky household, though of course they have a pedigreed chef for that. The other deserts also seemed to benefit from a trained and thoughtful hand. Wines were well-selected, well-presented, and reasonably priced for Aspen. A gem, really.More
Platos is the restaurant at the Aspen Meadows Resort just outside of town. It has a lovely view, and the food is excellent, led by one of the areas leading chefs. Menu is small but everything we had was great-craft cocktails, corn soup, salad, roast...duck, and chicken bahn mi sandwich. Great service too. Really enjoyed our meal there.More
First, the view: fabulous. We totally enjoyed basking in the gorgeous scenery while eating out on the deck. Second: the food. We generally eat out at moderately priced restaurants, and the amazing thing here was that the menu included many such items. We particularly loved...the chicken banh Mi sandwich. Service was also unbeatable. Highly recommend this restaurant.More
All plates were terrible, except from burger which was just fair. Service terrible, seating in a ball on the terrace just nothing to add, you just feel disconnected by the restaurant.
Once again, we enjoyed a great service at a restaurant in Aspen. The waitstaff were responsive and courteous. We had a question about their menu options and we were told that the Chef had told them that the customers could mix and match and do...whatever we liked, as it was important to give us what we wanted. Anyway, we really enjoyed the Charcuterie Board as an appetizer. Be warned, it is a lot of food. Then we split the Elk Loin for our main course. It was prepared really well, and was very lean and tasty. We split the Bourbon Bread Pudding for dessert, and it was truly delicious! And the view was fantastic! We highly recommend this place. But, as usual in Aspen, it was not inexpensive.More
What an amazing setting. It’s a bit outside of town but absolutely worth the trip. Outdoor seating views to Highlands and Aspen. Complements to the Chef’s fall menu. The wine menu was deep and affordable, which was refreshing.
This restaurant has one of the most magnificent settings I have ever seen. To eat outside amongst the mountains is a real treat. I loved it. That being said the place has real problems. Like all places post Covid there are not enough staff. But...taking that into account the service is indifferent. I had the Halibut which at $56.00 was at least a decent size and a tasty dish. My wife had grilled cheese and tomato soup which was ordinary and needs work. I have spent a fair amount of time in Manhattan, the Hamptons and Nantucket so I knew what to expect in Aspen. However the chocolate cake at 18.00 was perhaps the most expensive dessert per bite I have ever had in my life. Very good but gone in 4 bites. I know it’s Aspen but really it should come with a disclaimer. I asked to speak to a manager but he declined.More
This is a restaurant you need to go out of your way for. There would probably be 10 times the number of reviews if it were downtown where people walk by every day, and it seems to be a local favorite we stumbled across. First,...the room is absolutely glorious filled with natural light and beautiful artworks from the 1960s by Herbert Beyer. While we came for dinner, friends told us they actually prefer lunch out on the terrace where you can see all kinds of wildlife wander by. I started with a beet salad which was absolutely delicious with yellow beets, My niece had the duck, and I was lucky to have a few bites as it was perfectly prepared and delicious, with not a lot of fat. I had the halibut entrée which I would definitely order again, as it she was generous and very interesting in its presentation and accompaniments. My wife had the salmon which she loved as well. This is number 10 for a reason, and I think would even be higher ranked if more people knew about it. A must do when in Aspen!More
I think this is lessor known gem in Aspen. The views are fantastic all year round, but what i keep going back for is the char grilled burger and fries. My wife and I think it's the best burger in town, and any time we...get a "hanker'n" for burger, this is the one place we go.More
This is a wonderful location for an earlier dinner with a broad view of the mountains surrounding Aspen. The wine list is very nice and the food is very good, although more the basic or the usual choices ... from burger to salmon. But a...very nice experience overall.More
One of the best Caesar salads that I have had in a long time. The lunch menu was limited but very good. The service was exceptional and the view was breathtaking.
