Place is famous by a song. But should also be famous by decent food. Pierogi with game, pierogi with cheese, kartacz we tasted all of them and they were really good. Prices are medium level.

Unfortunately it was closed. I came and asked is it available? And a waiter answered me "of cause no". I asked Why? The waiter said: we are very popular. And I've heard: we do not care our clients It was 18:40. So, my opinion: we...need to show them they work for us, but not opposite. So, never forever up to change their standardsMore
We went there because it is a quite famous restaurant. Very busy although lots of waiters too. The food was ok but waiting time to be served much too long. I won't go there anymore.
Good place for stop by for lunch. Old style but tasty :) We came 6 hungry and left a place with a smile :)
In 10 years I come to Augustow the place is never open. Now this time it was but we were not really welcome and went out quickly
This restaurant remembers the old years. There was even made famous Polish song about girls, especially one from this place. The place with history. There were made some changes but stil you can feel old climate. Food was very tasty and cheap. Service was nice....I can fully recommend this place.More
We had tried to get in to this restaurant several times, but found it reserved for a wedding on one occasion and twice waited to be seated, but were ignored by staff. Ok, we don't speak Polish, but they didn't get close enough to find...that out! We finally walked in one day and plonked ourselves in one of the 60's style vinyl booths which are along one wall. The waitresses are also 60's style - bouffant hair, high heels, black skirts and white blouses and an indifferent air. Decor appears to be reminiscent of the communist era, with interesting light shades and a wooden dance floor in one corner - it looks a little tired, I don't think it has been updated in the last 50 years, but was probably once "the" place to go. The biggest disappointment was the food, totally lacking in any imagination, flavour or presentation. Worth a visit to have a look and a laugh, but nothing else in my opinion.More
Albatros is an old-timer in the Augustow area. Good and inexpensive lunch time - mostly Polish staples. Also some regional pierogis.
