Wow! What a great find in Zurich. This was an exceptional dinner, with exceptional service. Obviously, dining at a Michelin restaurant comes with an expected level of service and food quality but this really blew it all out of the water. Our server/sommelier was exceptional...and did a fantastic job introducing the wines and the food in great detail. We really appreciated all of the explanations to go along with each dish and the wine pairing. The staff was present, but not obtrusive. One of my favourite Michelin restaurants I've attended and would absolutely go back to.More

An amazing dinner experience with a 7-course menu. Every dish was well presented and very delicious. The staff were super professional and friendly. They well deserve the recognition as a one star Michelin restaurant 👍

A seriously enjoyable evening, great food and service. Menu focusses on sourcing locally and adapts as the seasons do. Dishes are beautifully presented with a great balance of flavours. Good wine list and cosy environment made for a great evening, and we look forward to...repeating.More

We returned to this tiny restaurant after some years and were again more than happy with the very attentive and friendly service and the wonderful food. As an exception a longer review. We are thrilled. The starters opened our palates: homemade bread at its best,...Leekemulsion and tasty Wildgarlic capers, and the most lovely Beerbreadcrackers, just to name a little (sic!) choice of all the delicious bits (something to remember!). The menu surprise is just an overwhelming experience: You make up your mind if you‘d like to enjoy three, four or more dishes - and are just happy - and lucky to be in this special eatery. It is possible to choose the menu together with a selection of wines by the Chef. I just mention some of our dishes: (1) Trout Belp (a village near Berne) - served together with a light but tasty Plum creme fraiche with radish, wine: a fruitful and dry Piesporter Goldtröpfchen 1998, Weingut Molitor (Mosel region, Gemany) (2) Kernotto Basel (spelt, Basel a swinging city at the Swiss-German-French border in the North of Switzerland), garnished with carrots, roasted buckwheat, Belper cheese and shallots, a dish to remember years! wine: a dry Le Haut Lieu, Domaine Huet, Vouvray (Loire Valley, France) (3) Zander (perch-perch, Lugano a bustling city in Southern Switzerland, Italian speaking part of the country), served with Champagne-Savoy and tasteful potatoes, wine: a charming Chardonnay 2016, Winning (Pfalz region, Germany) (4) The meat: a perfect cooked veal, tenderness at its best! Served with a light clear sauce and some veggies (kale). A dream for the palates - and the memory! - wine: a solid red of the Bordeaux region, Château Moulin du Cadet 2012 (S. Emilion region, France), a Grand Clu Classé - solid but not extraordinary (but the taste of the veal knocked everything out) Some wonderful predesserts: pears in blossom tea (5) Cheesecake Quince - surprising, but good, wine: a sweet (but not too much) Banyuls 2017, M. Chapoutier (Roussillon region, France) or a kind of Apple crumble with Verbena, Mascarpone and a little Carnivalcake The service has been very attentive and friendly.More

Equitable is one of my favorite restaurant in Zurich. I like the monthly lunch event there. They post it about 3 months in advance for a date at their homepage and immediate action is needed as it gets full so fast. They offer 3 course...menus which you can choose meat or vegetarian option. Freshly made seasonal dishes were entertaining the taste as well as the presentation. The deal for lunch is really great for the quality. I would definitely go back there if I could make a reservation there...More

Dinner in what seemed to be an understated place. How have we been surprised! Waiter and waitress took us through a journey of dishes, wines and juices sourced from Switzerland and southern Germany, which was truly incredible. Interesting combinations, fish, meat, vegetables, wines, all with...their own story and distinct flavours. Born in Switzerland and familiar with the mentioned places, we did not even know such ingredients existed and how good they would taste. It took us three hours to go through the five course menu, time just flew by and it was magic. every detail is taken care of, the chef is an artist. Struggling to think of having had a better meal and a deeper dining experience before. It does come at a price, but it must be on everybody's bucket list!More

I like to go out with my girlfriends and eat good food, but with me being vegan and them not being vegan it can be very challenging. I was very surprised that EquiTable did not have any issues with my request and the food I...received was very creative and so good. I was very impressed by the whole experience. We also had the non-alcoholic wine pairing as I'm not a big fan of red wine and it was very interesting and the wines were very good. Can recommend this restaurant to anyone even if you have special requests, they will make it work if you tell them in advance.More

We had dinner on a Saturday and took two 5 courses menu with wine pairing. The pros: Excellent food. Original, plenty of different flavors, perfect quantity, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chef is really inspired and you feel it in every plates. Very interesting wine...pairing with many good surprises and always a great combination with the courses. The cons: The dining room is a little bit basic with little attention to details. We were hoping to see the open kitchen but we only had a view on the coffee machine and the dishwasher. The service is cold and distant and not paying too much attention. In summary, definitely the best cuisine we have had so far in Zurich. Highly recommended.More

A wonderful evening full of surpises! We chose the menu with 8 courses plus wine pairing - not cheap and definetly worth it - and it was just a wow experience - very tasty and completetly new combinations of food made of high quality and...special ingredients. We just loved it and will surley be back. The restaurant is small and offers a nice cousy atmosphere, service is really good and very personable. We highly recommend this place for a new experience of food tasting! Enjoy the ride!More

The restaurant provides the classic michelin experience. The menu is a surprise. They only ask you what is it that you do not like to eat. Food is very good, presented beautifully. Towards the end the service surprisingly became very slow and there was a...big pause between some of the dishes. All dishes were very good but did not provide me with the wow factor. But in my experience many Michelin star restaurants rely on that great classic clean taste.More

I went to Sankt Meinrad twice over the years, BEFORE it had a Michelin star. I remember loving the food & atmosphere. This past weekend I was in for a big shock. I ordered the 5 course dinner, after taking a photo of the (hidden)...menu board hanging behind the bar, so I could keep the different prices in my head – the waitress seemed annoyed we asked how much the different courses and wine tastings cost. To make it short: everything except the first fish appetizer & desserts was horrifically salty. All the portions were very small and very expensive. The atmosphere was uptight and I couldn't wait for dinner to be over. I understand many Swiss Germans enjoy eating salty food, but for a place that has as many accolades as this restaurant, I expect a lot more care and refinement when crafting a dish. Never again, especially with all the other, much better restaurant options in Zürich.More

The tasting menu is a great journey for all senses. EquiTable has impressed me at several occasions. Probably some of the best food in the city. As this is a small place, reservation is needed.
