I had the codfish with grilled legumes, for me personally the portion size was large enough for a secondi piatti to be eaten on its own without a starter. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping street, but you can walk past it very...easily, so you really need to look the place up. They were fully booked, but we could sit inside, there were about 4 tables, so it was small but not very loud. The food sure is good enough for its price, and they have a menu with enough options for fish and/or meat lovers.More

A lovely, peaceful restaurant behind the main thoroughfare, you could easily miss it. It was a quiet, lovely courtyard overlooking gardens. The food was excellent, as was the friendly but polite service.

AVOID. We booked this place for 9.30 pm on Monday 27/3 as we were arriving into Pisa that night. The booking was confirmed by email by the resturant. When we got there at 9.15pm it was closed. No contact from them whatsoever to advise they...were closed. Previous reviewers have also had the same experience with them closing without notice when customers had a confirmed reservation, so not a one off event. DO NOT RELY ON THEM HONOURING RESERVATIONS.More

We had been recommended to go to this restaurant, so we booked it for our first night in Pisa. We booked online. Imagine our frustration when we arrived to find the place was shut. 😡 we went back an hour later to find it still...shut. When we got back to our hotel (with WiFi) we found that the restaurant had cancelled our booking 7 minutes before our table was booked. We had already left our hotel and had no Internet. Surely restaurants should not accept online bookings for evenings they decide to close. Their publicity still said that they were open. We still wanted to try the place, so we went back two nights later. Sadly, we wished we hadn’t. The waitress was not at all helpful or friendly and seemed more interested in a young man who seemed to be her boyfriend. She was either talking to him, or stood next to him looking around the restaurant with her arms folded, looking very bored. She even went outside with him for a few minutes at one point, leaving the restaurant unattended. Our starters were fine, nothing special but nicely presented. My husband’s fish dish had small bones in it, which spoiled the meal for him. My pasta was really chewy. There’s al dente and there’s chewy! It did taste good though. We waited for the waitress to ask us if we wanted a dessert, but she didn’t ask at all, so we asked for the bill and left. Such a shame. We had great meals in other restaurants during our time in Pisa. Just not this one.More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. It’s tucked away off the main high street and is a beautiful quaint spot. We both had pasta which was incredible and really flavoursome. The best meal we had in Pisa! The waitress was really knowledgeable about...the wines and made recommendations were superb and paired really well with our meals. The service was really attentive and welcoming.More

We searched TripAdvisor for restaurants near Pisa Centrale and thought we’d try here based on previous reviews; so glad we did! Lovely little place set back from the main road. Our waitress (didn’t get her name) was really friendly and helpful and chose some good...wines for us. Every course we had had an authentic local feel to it but was stylishly presented with wonderful flavours but not heavy or overpowering. Would happily go again.More

Simply beautiful hidden spot right in the city. After long walks and discovery this is perfect for few drinks, quiet and excellent dishes. Really top seafood and many treats from the Chef, home-made bread and the wine! Fabulous treats!

We stopped by for lunch after our tour of the Leaning Tower and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Great vegetarian pasta options and very friendly service. Stefania very carefully took our vegetarian order and went out of the way to make sure we were happy. Overall,...a very pleasant experience in Pisa on our way back to Florence. Had a great time at the Leaning Tower as well. Thank you Stefania for your service and also for recommending 'tiramasu'.More

Small bistro in a little quiet square, we were lucky to get a table. Very friendly welcome. Tuscan food with several daily specials in addition to the menu. Delightful ravioli with goats cheese, beautifully delicate in flavour. Steak cooked to perfection. Service was professional, efficient...and friendly. Lovely evening, would certainly recommendMore

We had great food and wine, accompanied by great service and hospitality at a fair price and a local ambient, as a lot of Italian visited the restaurant too. Therefore it’s highly recommended.

Traditional, honest to ingredients cuisine made with meticulous focus on taste. Broth made in-house every morning, vegetables sources from garden every morning etc. Although trafitional tuscany, it is not boring. Simply really well made!
