Calling to check for any cancellation/walk in - lady on the phone telling me to check Instagram for opening times instead. I told her it’s open today (Thurs) - she said a hundred and one excuses, ending up to her saying I don’t know when...we’ll be open. Atrociously wicked. No food is worth trying when costumer service is this vile.More

The food was super authentic and outstandingly delicious. However, the staff was very rude to the customers. There was one elderly lady who shouted at me and my boyfriend. We just asked her about the rice which was supposed to come with the main dishes....She should have talked to us more politely instead of saying “OMG can you wait!” Bad customer services definitely ruined our entire experiences despite the good and delicate taste of the Thai food.More

This restaurant is extremely busy with 2 sittings, check out their ever changing specials board on Instagram. Yes it's hard to get through to book but that's as it's so busy, make sure you call on the days when it's open. Noted some negative reviews...on fish cakes and red curry - every thai restaurant does that, come here and experiment, thai beef rib green curry, moo krob, larbs, they can ramp up the spice. Been coming here for over 20 years so yes I get good service but when a masterchef finalist says it's one of their faves then it must be good. BYO is a bonus and it did get a Time out winners prize.More

You need to book before you go there or they will turn you away even if there are several empty tables. But even booking is a problem. They do not have a website or email and so their only communication is the one landline. But...easier said than done. The landline is virtually never answered and so that makes it almost impossible to book. Over the last four weeks I must have called them over 40 times and NEVER ever received any reply. There is no voicemail on the line. The food is quite good value and quite tasty and you can take your own wine which makes it very popular. But be aware that the clientele tend to be rather younger and can get a little happy from their drinks and the place can become very noisy indeed. Being almost full all the time I suppose makes them reluctant to answer the phone. But they should realise that it is all part of the customer service that they should be giving people. I expect that many people just give up on them and don't bother.More

There are two sittings at this lauded cafe. We chose to eat at 2030, the second sitting. This was our first mistake as there were hardly any starters left. We were offered fish cakes which were rubbery and obviously reheated and spring rolls which could...have come from Iceland. The woman who served us was so rude, I almost walked straight out. The rest of the food was ok but there is far better elsewhere. And to add insult to injury, we saw other tables being given starters that we’d been denied long after we had ordered!More

Do book before you go as they will turn you away even if tables are vacant!! Takeaway- usually the best dishes are the ones on the board- although these are pricier. Very small portions but the taste makes up for it- so order more than...what you would at other restaurants Moo Krob was very good- crispy fried pork neck fat, well seasoned. Pad Talay- Seafood stir fry- Pretty basic, not seasoned or didn’t particularly taste anything flavourful. Jungle curry Red fish- Absolute star, burning spicy but you just keep going back for more. I have had Thai at authentic Thai places in Leicester and Preston- comparable to this. However it is expensive.More

I read about this amazing place at Leytonstone to eat. We wanted to take away and I been told I have to wait 2 hours to collect my food. That wasn’t advice anywhere on the web or instagram. On the top of it the oldish...lady really need to learn how to speak to their customers if they want to make money. After having shocking service there and no food I won’t advice anyone to go there. I had an intimate birthday party at Sangburi last night. Many Thanks to Thelma, and her team, for their warm welcome and special attention. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the selection of traditonal seafood, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The place is very clean...and offers high quality authentic Thai cuisine, using fresh produce. We can taste Love, Passion and Generosity in all the food. Excellent service and attention. BYO Booze 🥂🍷 and BYO Birthday cake 🎂🍰 option 🥰 made the experience even more pleasurable. The team, a handful of regulars and my guests all sang the Birthday song and shared the cake. Blissful night. 💝🙏💕 LikeMore

Visited our daughter in London and thought this was worth a try reading some of the reviews.sad to say encountered only bland average food which was overpriced for street food set up.we came down from Leeds where we have some great street food places thinking...London with more competition would offer even better .not so! Fish cakes obviously reheated and dry.not normal soft spongy feel.tom yum tasteless .red curry very average.beef very chewy.spring rolls and pastry prawns very greasy and lacking flavour.one good dish was the Pad Thai which was actually very good and worth eating.More

So Singburi was all over my social media and legitimate people who should know better were recommending it .... it seems they were taken in by the generous BYOB policy. Don't get me wrong, I am not averse to BYOB but there were people bringing...their own ice for gods sake. First things first, it is a caff in E11, it is not a restaurant and does not pretend to be one either. Service is pretty basic and its cash only. Make of that what you will but our bill was written on a page torn out of a notebook. We did not take our own wine as we are not savages and more importantly hadn't booked. On entering we were given 45 minutes to dine and leave....we accepted the challenge as we were starving and I had driven 2 hours to get to Singburi. My accomplice would have eaten the menu at this stage, they had run out of sparkling water so we settled for still, it was 7pm so it would seem that they just couldn't be bothered to go buy some from Tesco or anywhere. Food started trickling out, it was a huge non-event, the dip with the fish cakes was good other than that it was not great at all. The bill wasn't huge, but we were in and out within an hour and it just seemed like a big con to us both. Would definitely not recommendMore

Went there yesterday (26/10/19)with the Mrs and have to say the food was gorgeous. It only seats approx 32 people (so make sure to book) but it had a real lovely ambiance. We had a starter(prawn in pastry) 2x coconut rice beef in chilli sauce...and a fish dish all were very tasty and came to approx £35. (just remember you have to bring Yr own booze) but that apart highly recommended.More

This place is a no-frills hidden gem with A-class home cooked Thai food, run by no-nonsense Thai ladies. Have been twice and had amazing food both time! Book in advance as it’s very difficult to get tables. It’s a BYO place though there are a...couple of off-licences in walking distance.More

This is good food, good value for money as well as charming. It is a simple restaurant in many ways, the opposite of posh and upscale, but you will remember the visit. And come back. It offers something very different from most places downtown. It...is as mystery that this restaurant doesn't figure higher on the Trip Advisor ranking. It reflects an underlying problem with ratings in big cities I guess.More
