Serious safety incident

Would not recommend this place to ANYONE especially girls. Staff was extremely creepy and owner (seems about 80) GRABBED me and tried to KISS me on the way out…Had to push him off and run away Went there for dessert and before we had a...chance to breathe, we were given menus and bread. Then we told them that we just want dessert, waiter literally told us off and was very rude. Dessert itself was okay, tasted very homemade and for the price (7 pounds per plate) not worth it at all. And most shocking when I tried to leave, said thank you at the door and the old owner grabbed me and tried to kiss my cheek. I was leaning away with my whole body and barely managed to run out of there. All of the waiters were just watching as well. Extremely horrible experience, would never recommend.More

Serious safety incident

Horribly dingy place with insanely inappropriate and rude staff. Couldn’t even stay 30 mins. VERY OLD OWNER GRABBED MY 18 year old SISTER AS WE WERE LEAVING ABD TRIED TO KISS HER CALLING HER BEAUTIFUL. He was not letting go and nobody did anything to...stop him. Had to go back and make him apologise for literal sexual harassment. Didn’t let us split the bill even thought they had a card reader cayse “too many cards.” Frequently laughing at us and joking in Italian. On top of everything, 45 pounds for 5 desserts! Disgusting and appalling service. Hated it. Would never recommendMore

Sandwiched between increasingly multi-million real estate, little Anacapri is a real original very popular with locals; expect a good range of solid trattoria dishes not high flying cooking and you will be happy, especially with prices well below flashier, younger joints all around. The patron,...uttering Spanish, leads his polyglot team allegro, energetically from the front, directing swiftly produced dishes here and there. The pace is fast and furious. A good time is had by all.More

Visited before Christmas and as my friend and I had not booked anything, we were very happy to stumble across it. Interior was very cosy and authentic. However went down hill after that! Food was average but staff were really abrupt and generally unwelcoming. We...were there an average amount of time for lunch. Our glasses were adequately full and they kept topping up our glasses even though we preferred it from ice bucket and didn't want to guzzle it down? In the middle of main and talking came round with dessert plater? We hadn't even asked or be given opportunity to look at menu? The restaurant was about a third full and this may be reason we found space? Bunch of elderly waiters playing cards and had to ask for bill twice and acted as if interrupting? However did hold door open for us on way out, so weird? Really need to change their attitude as very bizarre for people in " hospitality" business!More

Amazing food and friendly staff The best lemon chicken I’ve tasted. Small well run restaurant we stumbled upon but so glad we did. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Lovely traditional Italian tucked away in Central London. Great service and really good food. Had pasta dishes for lunch - perfectly cooked and very authentic sauces. Reasonably priced and very relaxed and friendly.

This used to be one of my favourite Italian restaurants in London but on the last couple of occasions I’ve dined there both my wife and I felt it hasn’t been as good. One of the waiters was very fast and brusque to the point...were he was almost throwing the plates down on the table and the whole dining experience felt rushed! Secondly they used to always bring out a fantastic selection of crudités and garlic bread and olives etc but that’s now all disappeared! They probably cracked on to the fact that with such a generous and delicious selection no one was bothering to order starters! Who knows? Anyway, that’s more of a slight disappointment that’s all. I ordered spaghetti with clams but the portion size was small, it came out in a small plate and I prefer to have my clams in their shells and the food was not piping hot as i like it to be but rather lukewarm. My wife had the Seabass which was good! Desserts were also very good. Tiramisu for me and cheesecake for my wife. Ill go again but if next time is also a bit disappointing then I won’t be returning.More

Google says it’s open. We have been coming to this lovely restaurant for 20 years. Please please please if you are shutting for holidays can you leave a phone message? So that when we call you we know you’re shut, or on Google at least...show that it is shut for the holidays. Because it said you were open we thought you were too busy to answer the phone. There was no phone message. So we travelled into London and were bitterly disappointed. We have had many fantastic evening and will have some in the future but please do the courtesy of showing that you are closed on your Google site. Many thanks Peter and MaryMore

We happen upon this restaurant while walking from Howarths music store near by and the owner was outside setting up for dinner. He was so kind and accommodating, he set us up outside before he was set to open and waited on us himself. The...food was delicious and by the time we left an hour later the place was full and there was a line! We were so lucky to be hungry early and be walking by!More

Was walking around trying to find a good spot to take my daughter and niece - stumbled across this restaurant. Couldn't be happier - very very fair prices for the area. The meal was delish and the service was so lovely.
