Really super Sunday lunch in a perfect cosy setting Very friendly staff, cannot fault at all. I thought was also good value and I would definitely go again if in the area. Clearly popular, so must book as full all day, which is always a...good sign. I was a table of four and we all had the Sunday roast , beef, pork or lamb in our case. All deliciousMore

I saw a note on Facebook to say mussels were now on the menu so my wife insisted we go straight away. Good decision because the mussels were just exceptionally good. I had the locally caught fish which was perfectly judged with a light crispy...batter. Hard to beat!More

The owner is a real gentleman and the vibe of the place absolutely wonderful. We didn’t eat here and just came for drinks, but the food looks and smells amazing! I definitely recommend just because it is so nice to see a place lovingly run...and managed. We will be back!More

Been several times for Sunday roast and always enjoyed it, with good food and friendly service, but today we were annoyed by barking dogs and disgusted by the same dogs sitting at an adjacent table. Who wants to sit where a dog has had its...rear end?More

Sadly disappointing today, have visited on many occasions normally really love B+W. The lady that served us was not dry warm and friendly on arrival, I felt like I was inconveniencing her by asking questions. My food was really poor, taste was Ok but really...small amount and poor selection. Chewy roasted broccoli and limp sad carrots. Roast potatoes were average. Did not feel like I was able to complain as the woman did not seem approachable sadly.More

What a wonderful place to eat. Food was absolutely scrumptious, the roast lamb just melted in your mouth, roast potatoes were lovely and crispy, veg perfect, condiments superb, loved the 🍨. Would definitely go back again next we're in Brighton.

Just had a really lovely impromptu dinner. Dropped in for a drink with my husband and 6 month old baby. We decided to stay to eat as the menu looked great. I had the fish of the day and it was beautifully cooked. The saffron...aioli with the accompanying potatoes was gorgeous. My vegetarian husband enjoyed his halloumi and chips and said they may have been the best chips he has ever had. We shared a custard tart with rhubarb compote for pudding. I made a jokey comment about the size of the slice of tart being small (as I'm a silly fatty with eyes bigger than my stomach), and we were offered a second slice! I feel very embarrassed at my faux pas but wanted to highlight the wonderful service we received. Was pretty spenny, but as a treat well worth the money for excellent food and service. Thank you!More

Having tried lots and lots of sunday roasts in Brighton, I think this is one of the best choices. Cozy place with a very good selection of beers (on tap as well as bottled) to accompany the food. Warmly recommended!

Had not been a couple of years after a couple of poor experiences. Wine was amazing - however the food was a complete let-down. The steak had to be returned. It was tough, full of gristle and undercooked. "Medium" doesn't mean blood rare and cold....The sauce was a combination of liquid butter and oil. Not sure what had happened to the chips either. They tasted of like flour - and not like potato at all. Needless to say the steak platter didn't go down well. Most of it wasn't eaten. The Senior Waiter apologised, but I was surprised to see the apology wasn't reflected in the bill. I hadn't expected to pay for food that is poorly prepared/presented. Paid the bill and left. Won't be returning in a hurry.More

We ate here today with friends as a result of fab TA reviews, and found them to be fully justified. The staff was lovely - very helpful, and the pub itself very welcoming. Most of all, our Sunday roast was one of the best ever,...with lots of good quality meat, and great sides, including parsnips, cauliflower cheese, and the most impressive Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. All in all, a terrific occasion, and a place I would strongly recommend.More

Visited after a few months but very much looked forward to . So disappointing. The food was mediocre. Fish and chips where the fish was nice, chips like house bricks and neither crispy nor brown. A starter of pork belly was incredibly dry at the...bottom of each piece and inedible. The whole pub reaked of cooking smell and it hung in the air thickly making one’s eyes water. The worst part being we left the pub and all clothing was covered in the smell. Very unpleasant. You do not expect to go out to dinner and return as though you had spent the evening over the stove. Not a good experience nor food to rush back for.More

I have been a big fan of this place, but I have been away for 5 months, and on my return was very disappointed. I went on a Friday night, and the late sitting. Arrived at 8.30 but we didn’t get our main courses until...10.30!!! Just too long to wait I think. Returned on Sunday for lunch. The service was better but the food…… We had roast lamb and to be honest it appears to be the scrapping from the bottom of the pan. It was most disappointing and not what I had come to expect from B&WMore

Hello, it is street parking, but blue badges are apllicable if you can find a spot. There are double yellow line immediately outside which I think you can park on also.
