First time visit, by chance. Had to go to another store in the area. Had the brunch, specifically the schnitzel Benny. A very generous portion for a great price. The food was hot and definitely homemade. 4 of us had different meals and shared with...no consensus on which was best. It was between stuffed French toast, breakfast burger, veggie frittata, and my choice. We tucked in before pictures. That's how good it looked. Definitely will return!More

Went for Father’s Day not overly busy, plus I made a reso, ordered 3 meals Server got one right, missed 2 more items, meatloaf was pre-made from a week ago then froze and pre heat to serve. Small portions, ordered chicken sausage and two more...eggs over easy, got raw sausage and 2 sunny sides, cause was still hungry, Left them at the table paid my bill and ran not walked out of that place. Sad, so much potential but no one cares…More

Went in on a whim for lunch. Found the place 2/3 full. Figured not to busy like other restaurants at this time. Wife ordered the soup and I ordered the meatloaf sandwich with the sweet potato fries (+$4)and a side of the soup. Found the...soups were just warm not hot but hearty. The toasted sandwich was burnt bread as well as the sweet potato fries on the edge of blackened. Meatloaf was not spiced at all. Thought of sending back but always takes to long to recieve a redo. Waitress did not return to table to ask how it was. Probably will not return.More

I had the Angus burger with poutine but they call it disco fries. The burger was cooked perfectly nice and juicy but it was over powered by the curry mayo and way too much lettuce/spring mix in the burger. The poutine was dry, very little gravy...and the fries were either old or too crispy for me. It was not worth the money spent.More

Had lunch here with 4 others recently. Had frittata - disappointed. Rather bland and nothing special. Food tasted "warmed over". Others in our party were also disappointed in meal.

We were seated about one pm. There were some people paying so we waited, and waited. I went to the hostess that seated us and said we have been waiting for 20 minutes. She said she'd take care of it and the waitress came over...looked at us and disappeared. After a other 5 minutes we left. I cannot recall poorer service ever.More

Second visit to this restaurant and probably the last one. The meal served (meatloaf) was very ordinary. French fries served with the meal were overcooked and of a poor quality. Service on this visit was poor. Had to flag down kitchen staff for napkins. Lots...of better choices than this restaurant. Observation - the breakfast plates served looked far more appetizing.More

The hash was amazing! Hollandaise sauce was delicious, as was the corned beef. The wife had the French toast which was also great. Will definitely be back.

We have enjoyed quite a few meals here, as we had an office on 124th Street. The food was usually good quality at a good price! Service was usually excellent. Like any restaurant, when they have a bad day, you learn from what they do...when things go wrong. They own their mistakes and make it right.More

In search of a cafe that could accommodate our group of twelve, we stumbled across this gem - yummy food and a nice reprieve from chain restaurants. Definitely try the Kennebec fries and do not miss the Lemon Sour cream pie.

We have calling the Urban Diner our favorite place for brunch on the weekends but I expect this was my last visit. Today was very busy day due to the Lulu 10 km race and it is also a busy place in weekends but there...is no excuse for crappy food and poor service. Beth was our server and I hate to be negative as I believe is is a nice person but she was mostly on the deck and then a few tables inside aside from taking our order and getting us coffee to start she was not around at all until it was time to pay. I hate leaving a small tip but today was that day. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and while I did eat it as i was extremely hungry i should have sent it back. The gluten free toast was over cooked and so.was the egg. I came with pan fried potatoes that have zero taste! They were covered with big chunks of partially cooked green onions. Very sad as we have had great brunches there. The days of Tara serving us is gone and on their shirts it says Support Local. I agree but not for this.More

Went first time here for brunch on Canada Day and had a lovely meal of coffee & apple pie French toast with scrambled eggs on side. French toast was well executed, perfectly crispy on outside, creamy and full of apples inside. Food was fantastic although very...single portion sizes, not enough to share. Atmosphere was only ok, felt a bit crammed into a corner table with waitresses squeezing through behind me which was uncomfortable. Place was busy which is not a bad sign. It’s a great place to support a smaller business and you wont be disappointed!More
