We have been going to Mad Hatter's for over a decade now. It never disappoints! We hosted a birthday dinner with a fabulous menu curated by Mark & Ben. Our table of 20 everyone enjoyed the dinner and cocktails! Will be back again soon.

This is just a lovely restaurant. Friendly and helpful service and really great food. The shared vegetables were lovely and the salmon cooked to order. Good wine at a fair price. Totally recommend. Just lovely.
There were three of us for a dinner out and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. It absolutely lived up to previous reviews. It was January so quite chilly outside so we chose to eat inside. The restaurant is deceptively small as an enormous...mirror makes it look twice the size. However the atmosphere is friendly and cosy. The "specials" double the small menu in size. All the food is spectacularly good, but I would particularly praise the saffron risotto with prawns, which was one of the specials. Totally scrumptious. Another must is the garlic bread, which is as good as anything I have had in either the UK or Italy to be honest. We drank a bottle of Californian red from Monterrey which my partner said was remarkably well priced given that this is Bermuda where everything is eyewateringly expensive. all in all it was a delcious dinner - the best we have had in Bermuda.More
This is an excellent restaurant. We’d been to Mad Hatters a couple of times in the past and decided to try them again on our latest visit to Bermuda as we were staying nearby. We liked them so much we went there twice! The food...was delicious without making you feel over-full and there was an interesting range of specials. Friendly and knowledgeable local staff. This restaurant isn’t big and is popular with Bermudians, so I’d recommend booking in advance. Definitely worth trying if you are staying in Hamilton, like good quality food and don’t want to eat in the hotel!More
Excellent food with friendly staff. Great menus and specials variety. Close to downtown and easy walk from hote.
The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was fantastic! This is our 2nd time visiting and we will come again and again!!!
Mad Hatters has a cozy dining room and also an outside area. Usually because of the heat, most people opt for the more intimate interior. Many of the tables are next to the kitchen window. The kitchen is not nearly distracting as nearby tables with...loud talkers. There is a prix-fixe lunch menu - 2 courses for $30 and 3 courses for $38. Food was good and filling; vegetables are served family-style. The wait staff is always moving and efficient. We need to try this place for dinner next time.More
This is truly a hidden gem with some of the best food on the island!!! Service, waitstaff & spirits are FIRST RATE! Best piece of Wahoo I've had in my life...cooked to perfection!
Absolutely one of the best meals we've had! So many amazing options, so I went with the recommendations and they were fantastic. My husband had the rock fish with drk& stormy sauce, a definite must when in Bermuda.
The food was excellent and great ambience. We would definitely come back! We had the truffle mushroom risotto. It was the best we've ever had .
We have been coming to Bermuda for ten years and our trip would never be the same if we didn’t visit Mad Hatters. I even have a hat behind the bar from my RAF days. Edward, Mark and the crew always make you welcome and...the food never disappoints. Bookings essential to avoid disappointment.More
My family and I went here for dinner. It was my first time here and I had a blast. My favorite part was the hats along the wall and we got to wear them. I had on a Stitch hat from Lilo and Stitch, my...mom put on a Taxi hat, my dad put on a donkey hat, and my brother put on a real builder hat. The food was delicious, even though the menu is quite limited they have weekly specials and a menu for kids. The staff was super friendly and patient. My Fish and Chip was delicious.More
Picture 2 travelers at a crosswalk in Hamilton wondering out loud which pub to check out, and out of nowhere, this man - Ben - comes around and gives awesome suggestions. Needless to say, he is a local, but also mentions that he is the...head chef at Mad Hatters and that we should try and check it out while on vacation. Fast forward to NYE's eve and we decided to take our chance to grab seats as walk-ins the moment they opened. We weren't able to call ahead as we only had internet service on our phones. The host, although doubtful, was kind enough to check and luckily there were 2 seats, orchestra nonetheless, that we just needed to vacate by 8pm. The restaurant atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for – intimate, but not stiff. The menu was small and made it easy to choose, but also challenging to not want to order everything! We ordered bacon-wrapped scallops with a pepper, mango, tamarind glaze for appetizers, and the sauté rock fish with a banana nut crust & dark n’ stormy sauce and surf and turf special for our entrees. Let me tell you, we were so glad that this was our last dinner before leaving Bermuda. Everything was so good, and you can tell that the dishes were made to order and fresh! Ben, as it turns out is not just the head chef, but also part-owner. During service, he casually sang and danced his way out of the kitchen, spotted us, and made sure to acknowledge that he remembered us, and he was thankful we were able to dine in, as we were just as thankful for the pub recommendations and leading us to his restaurant. He even invited us for champagne for their New Year’s Eve celebration at midnight! If only we weren’t flying back home in the morning... If there’s one place worth checking out and dining to when you’re in Bermuda, it’s definitely at Mad Hatter’s. Fine dining, but with a relaxed atmosphere, outstanding food, and amazing people.More
Went for dinner here, having forgotten about it for many years. So glad we did! Everything about the evening was perfect. The atmosphere is small and cute, although they do have an outdoor covered area as well. The service was excellent and friendly, and the...food was fantastic! My husband had a venison chop with duck breast in a blueberry sauce, and I had hog fish and sea scallops in a Pernod cream sauce. Both entrées, as well as our appetizers and dessert, were wonderful! Also, super delicious garlic bread when we arrived. Their menu is limited, but they have so many specials each day, so they can take advantage of fresh ingredients on the island, and keep their food creative. If we lived here, it would be a regular visit, for sure!More
This place is the perfect atmosphere. It’s cozy and inviting. The room is softly lit and adorned with subtle charm like hats hanging on the walls and the four card suits decorating the swinging kitchen door. The menu featured a long list of specials, which...I assume changes often. The chef was happy to answer questions about the food, and our waiter was truly attentive. He was funny and helpful and even ordered us a cab at the end of the meal. As for the food, everything was absolutely delightful. The appetizers were perfectly cooked and flavorful— my favorites were the spicy tomato crab soup and the garlic bread. We ordered extra pickled red cabbage because after one bite we couldn’t get enough! The entrees were just the right portion-size. The Thai green curry blew my socks off!! The best curry sauce I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Another thing, their fried fish is perfect! Great wine and desserts too. You will not be disappointed with anything at Mad Hatter’s. 10/10 I will be back for more!More
