We arrived a couple of hours early at "Spiaggia e mare", but could immediately proceed with check in. Our "bungalow deluxe" was spacious, offering 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. The house was clean and foreseen of all required luxury - airco, tv (not that we used it), equiped kitchen (again, hardly used). The difference is often in the details: every window has wooden shutters as seen on the pics on their site, BUT also special mosquito frames. As we booked a house, we can't comment on the camp facilities such as toilets, showers etc, but from what we've seen, they look fine. The park is lovely, with a very big swimming pool and the recently added water slides and big boat for the kids. Every waterslide is supervised the whole time, avoiding colision of kids etc. Maybe not so nice if your kids want to "play rough" but for my kids, that was perfect. Also, the pool area is open from 10 till 19h, so you don't need to worry about other guest putting their towels on seats at 8am and then disappearing again for breakfast. The private beach came with our own private set of sunbeds (2) and an umbrella. The sea is undeep so that children can easily go 30m into the water. There is a possibility to rent a pedalo and go beyond the breakwater. The Adrien Sea has limited tides and waves are small, so again no danger for the kids. The park as such is spacious, but still everything is within reach. Our bungalow was located at approx 100m from the swimming pool, 50m from the beach, and 100m from the market. The restaurant offers good quality food at a correct price. Service is fast and with a smile. We used it 5 times, the other days we used our private bbq (every house comes with a private bbq!). Our kids did not participate in the kids club during the day, so no feedback on that. They did hower enjoy the evening animation. Outside the park, a 15 min walk brings you to Porto Garibaldi, but that's not the most lively town you'll ever run in to. But the community of Comacchio also offers other nice villages such as Lido di Spina (bike rental) or Lido delle Nazione (horse rental) etc. The camping also offers excursions to Venice etc. In all, final conclusion, "Holiday Park Spiaggia e Mare" was the best holiday we had so far. The kids loved it, and so did we. Too bad times fly by so fast when you're having fun. Checking out was as easy as checking in: hardly any formalities, all is done "in good faith". You also don't pay a deposit, you get the key, go to your house, and when you leave, you give the key, they ask if you enjoyed your stay, say they hope to see you again, and accept the key. (We booked directly via their website, so might be different for other travel agencies). PS: I read some earlier comments on mosquitos. And yes, they are a pest. So bring some spray, our buy it at the market. I also disagree with the comment that the market is overpriced. I happened to break my sunglasses and bought new ones for only 12€. Bread and bagettes are priced PER KILO, not per piece as is customary in Holland and Belgium. That's perhaps why people think it's expensive. We bought breakfast for 4 every day without ever exceeding 5€ total. PS2: Split of the guests while we were there: i estimate 25% Dutch / Belgian, 20% Danish, 20% German or Suisse, 20% Italian and 15% others (Polish, some Hungarian) In conclusion, a splendid holiday in a great place with nice people.…
