Check in was prompt and efficient. The location of the resort is fantastic, right on a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach. The resort itself is rather dated and the room we had (A Sea Breeze Room #9) was small and basic. While it was clean it felt like the terracotta floors needed a really good clean as did the small bedside rugs. (see pictures). The aircon ran well and there was always hot water. Note: There was no TV in the room, so unsure if it is the same throughout. The Nomad Restaurant and Bar at the far end of the resort was very good and the staff were excellent. We were disappointed with the evening BBQ which was adjacent to the swimming pool. The food was freshly cooked but placed in tureens which did not keep it hot, so most of the food was cold. It would have been better to "cook to order". The desert was missing......on asking some small squares of cheesecake appeared. We did mention all of this to the assistant F&B manager who listened attentively, and was very friendly. We opted for the Teppanyaki on the 2nd evening. The food was good, but as it is outside, and hidden away plus the temperature of the cook tops made it far too hot and uncomfortable. Go to the Nomad restaurant instead and enjoy the sea breeze. Tip; At Nomad Bar the dirty martini is excellent. On the plus side we had a late flight and were granted an extended checkout at 2pm. Normal check out here is 10am which is very early. Would we go there again - probably not, but we are new to Kenya and the coast so we don't have a measuring standard as yet. Is it good value for money - probably not as the room was very disappointing. Final comment - excellent staff.

We have stayed in Diani several times and although we have tried out several hotels we always come back to Nomads. From the minute you arrive nothing is too much trouble and all the staff go the extra mile so that you enjoy your holiday. The accommodation is spacious, bright in all rooms. to get to the restaurant you walk through the grounds which are well maintained. Although some meals are served in the restaurant which is also open to none residents, but we booked tables when we went to breakfast for lunch/dinner time and never had problem. You also have 3 other restaurants to choose from, we did the al fresco dinner, this was a sea food buffet and you dinned under the stars, an amazing experience. It's worth going into the turtle watch centre which is associated with the hotel, we did this and managed to see turtles hatching on the beach. The hotel also has canoes, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment that you can borrow, we did this and went out to the sandbank and saw lots of different fish. The beach is so clean and you can walk for miles, and can go up access roads to the local shops or bars and then either walk back or get a Tuk Tuk. If you are arriving into Ukunda airstrip it's worthwhile getting the hotel to arrange a taxi for you due to none waiting. This is the fourth time we've stayed here and will definitely go back. To all the staff thanks for making our stay so good and we'll be back

Wonderful location, comfortable Ocean View room from where you can walk down onto the white sand. Very good restaurant with friendly staff and an amazing choice for breakfast buffet. Personally we were not happy that we could not leave doors or windows open due to the monkey problem, but a great place to sit and watch the endless parade of sailing and fishing boats.

What a location! The accommodation sits on the shores of the Indian Ocean on a beautiful soft sandy beach, complete with coral reef. We switched from a sea breeze to a beachfront room and well worth the extra, as not only do you get a larger room but the location is right on the beach. I took a free diving class in the hotel pool and this resulted in my first open water scuba dive. This wasnt planned but so glad I did. Lots of turtles, coral and of course tropical fish. Quite a few monkeys around and the odd baboon but this just adds to the experience. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stay there in December 2023 for 1 week with a family of 4 kids Great location on a very nice beach. Nice restaurant with beautiful view on the sea and very good food. Friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Dive center in the hotel, nice pool where you can learn to dive. Kayaks, body boards, snorkeling gear etc available for guests. Nice gym in the forest but some equipment need to be repaired. Only issue was that the restaurant is very popular with at time many external guests and long waiting time.

This is literally the best resort/hotel I have ever stayed at ( I travel a lot). If you have any hesitation with booking here do not at all! Where do I begin. The staff are wonderful, the food is incredible and the beach is like none I have ever been to. My room was ocean view and was next level. I was debating between staying here vs at the Swahili resort, but I really wanted a beautiful beach. I have zero regrets as the beach was literally stunning and the water was perfect. The beach boys were present but honestly not a big deal. They were polite and if you said no they left you alone. I felt exceptionally safe and well taken care of. The airport pick up by Juma was next level. I felt safe and he also helped me get a sim card and exchange money and I really enjoyed just chatting and my drive with him! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I normally have a rule where I won't go back to the same place twice, but for this hotel I would break that rule!

Great gem of a hotel. Hotel staff is so accommodating, and have been working there for years, which is a good sign. The GM and his spouse as well as the new kitchen Chef made our time there and meals, and activities memorable. Diani beach is most beautiful beach in the world, and the hotel is right up there with it!

An absolutely fantastic mini hotel, very kind staff, the food is absolutely fantastic, an unexpectedly clean and beautiful place. I recommend this hotel with confidence. In Safari I recommend only 1 day, even if the road is tiring, you have nothing to do for 3 days.... because 1 day actually meant 2 days lost... few animals in the Safari... but at this mini boutique hotel the pleasure of this place is also the monkeys who are friendly especially when you feed them.
