If you want the real deal at Kasar Devi then this is the place, the property is located within 50 meters from the point where you can climb up the Kasar Devi hill or the Hippie Ridge. The views are beautiful and the food is very good, they have a restaurant which is frequented by locals too so the food is always fresh. Rooms are clean and the prices are great value for money.

The guesthouse is very well located and with their own complex, everything was a phone call away. The guesthouse has an in-house restaurant, grocery shop, scooter/motorcycle rental facility and taxi service. We booked a deluxe double room, which was quite spacious with all basic amenities and is a budget hotel room. Our room was on the 2nd floor, which had an amazing view of the surroundings and is highly recommended for your stay in Almora. Kasar Devi temple is right next to the hotel and cranks ridge (Hippie Hill) is 5 mins walking distance from there.

We ended up staying here for 5 nights! What a wonderful place. We had one of the top floor rooms with a lovely big patio and stunning views of the mountains. Our hot water was not working but we liked the room we were in so they gave us the key to use the adjoining room for hot water. What really makes this place special is the lovely family that run it and the two boys working there. They can not do enough for you, whatever you need they will get it for you. I took some medication and had an allergic reaction to it and the owner took me in his car to the hospital for an antihistamine injection. They have a lovely onsite restaurant again with wonderful views and the food is mouth watering and really good value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to go back again. Thank you all!

Dolma is located about 20mins from Almora at the foothills of Kasar Devi and proved to be a splendid crash pad! The first floor of the hotel graces you with a view of the Garhwali Himalayas, and if you're lucky, on a clear day you can see Nanda Devi. The hotel is modest, clean and the family that owns it are warm and welcoming. The rooms are priced reasonably. The road behind the hotel leads to a clear spot where you can see the whole of Almora and is the most beautiful sight!
