Nice elegant hotel with large rooms and a large balcony. We had a room at the back and no sun at all. Nice mountain view though. Never had such a clean room and bathroom. It is only a 5 minute walk to the lake where the boats, which cross the lake, arrive. Next to the hotel is a small Spar supermarket. The hotel has style and so have most hotels in Pertisau. Negative: As a guest you receive no welcome information at all. We discovered a safe behind a curtain. We also discovered that the hotel has no restaurant but it serves dishes which you have to order at breakfast. Weak spot is the internet facility: slow and only available in the recreation room. No English TV channels. The restaurant next door called Clara is fine and across the street in hotel Karwendel is good also. In Karwendel you have to make a reservation and Clara is more easy going. Parking is in front of the hotel.

Just home after a 5 day break in Pertisau and we loved this hotel. Very friendly staff. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and it had a balcony with a view of the lake. Lovely breakfast served every morning with freshly baked bread. We chose to eat in the hotel every evening as the food was great and there was a new dish to choose from every night. Hotel is perfectly located next to the lake with all amenities on your doorstep including a small supermarket and atm machine.

We stayed at the Hotel Garni Alpenrose in Pertisau, Austria, this summer for 11 nights. This was our first visit to this hotel, although we have visited Austria many times and been to Achensee for day trips. The hotel is 2 minutes walk away from Lake Achensee, a beautiful area of the Tirol in Austria. The hotel is really great with good quality rooms with lovely views, and a super standard of food using local produce. The hosts were unobtrusive but always willing to help when we had questions about the local area or got stuck interpreting the menu.
We booked for bed and breakfast, but found out on arrival that we could eat in the restaurant in the evening too. We found that the prices were very reasonable and the food of a high standard - all cooked from fresh ingredients on the premises. So we used their restaurant (they don't cook on Sundays but there are plenty of nearby restaurants of all different standards and prices) We had to order our meal from a varied menu at breakfast each day, but that wasn't a problem at all for us.
The hotel owners very kindly arranged the hire of a wheelchair for one of our party (we had asked in advance if this could be arranged) and it was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. There is a Spar shop right next door to the hotel which we found useful and not at all noisy. As our rooms had small fridges in them, we were able to have cold drinks 'on tap', and keep milk fresh for a nice cup of tea. (You need to take your own kettle) s it was incredibly hot while we were in Austria, this was really great.
There was so much to do in the local area - we were advised by our hosts to get a special guest card (the Achensee Holiday card) from the Tourist Information office (just 200 meters up the road) which cost us 62 euros each. With this card we could travel for free any number of times on the lake boats, 2 cable cars up 2 different mountain ranges, and a very famous cog railway and visit 4 museums and the Crystal Works. I would thoroughly recommend this as we used it every day and took trips which would have cost more that twice what we paid! It was tremendous value for money. We had our car with us, and hardly had to use it. You could certainly get the most out of this visitors' card on foot.
We will certainly return to the Hotel Garni Alpenrose. We felt welcome there and enjoyed getting to know the local people.

Very nice, cozy and clean hotel, spacious rooms and friendly staff. We had half board and both breakfast and dinner are very good and well served. Pertisau is a beautiful location for a relaxing holiday. For sure we will come back.

This is a cozy, clean and picturesque hotel with very nice rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Markus and Barbara and their whole crew were very friendly and helpful for any issues that we had. The hotel is nicely positioned with only a few minutes’ walk to the lake and within walking distance of many restaurants and trailheads for hiking in the gorgeous natural wonders.
The value for money is excellent for the quality of the hotel that you get. We would definitely return and suggest this hotel to others.

I have done a reservation on this hotel and it was mu biggest mistakes due to the following:

1- after confirmation using email and telephone conversations, there was no cancellation policy mentioned in the email reservation confirmation. Hence, after first day off arrival , I changed my mind to cancel next days. I tried to discuss with hotel chief manager called MARC, he was not friendly and told me it is rule of cancellation like this !! And i have to accept it other wise , he is going to call the police!!

2- secondly, there is no boiler available in the rooms if you want to enjoy your coffee tea and making baby milk at mid night. If you have your baby crying at 3:00 am you need to go down to restaurant and get hot water. And the bog problem is that restaurant will be closed at mid night!!!

3- There is no iron available. You need to give your clothes for next day to be finished and pay for it.

4- old furniture and old decorations outdated.

5- no view available on the lake which covered by building.

We spent a week in the Appartments Alpenrose that are situated behind the hotel.

Pros:-
Spacious apartment with balcony and views (on the 2nd floor).
Very quiet and relaxing.

Cons:-
Not telling us that the fridge/freezer wasn't working (the owner admitted that he knew this to be so when we reported it) so food defrosted and some went off. Needing to be reminded that we needed a working fridge in the apartment. Needing to ask for some compensation at check out.
No grill or toaster.
No iron or ironing board.
Tiny safe with very limited space - DSLR & lens + passports - no room for tablets at the same time.
Very limited produce on offer in supermarket (run by Alpenrose owners) - and in Pertisau in general.

Despite the longer 'con' list, overall it was a good place to stay. We also suffered for the fact that we had flown to Austria which meant we were stuck with the limited choice of food on offer at the local supermarket - as well as a working fridge for a while. If travelling by car, there are likely to be bigger supermarkets in Maurach for instance.

What a great find for our first Austrian experience. Definitely recommend deluxe room with lake view well appointed with a pleasing decor. Plentiful and varied breakfrast. We always eat in the hotel the first night after travelling once we experienced the food there was no competition on quality and value for money to continue to dine at the Hotel. Our only disappontment was that on a Sunday they had a well deserved day off from cooking so we had to find an alternative which was okay. The family and staff were friendly helpful and could not do enough for you. As the husband of a UK Travel Agent a definite recommendation to any of my wife's clients.
