Samed Cabana Resort is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Ko Samet, offering a family-friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay.
Rooms at Samed Cabana Hotel provide a flat screen TV, a refrigerator, and air conditioning, and guests can stay connected with free wifi.
In addition, while staying at Samed Cabana Hotel guests have access to shops and a sun terrace. You can also enjoy a pool and free breakfast.
If you’re looking for a barbeque restaurant, consider a visit to Ploy Talay Restaurant, Samed Villa Restaurant, or Tubtim Resort Restaurant, which are all conveniently located a short distance from Samed Cabana Resort.
I’ve stayed Samed Cabana approximately half a dozen times over the years and always enjoy coming back to Koh Samed. Vongdeuan is a beautiful white sanded crescent shaped beach with warm turquoise waters. Samed Cabana is broken up into prime beachside bungalows which are in desperate need of an upgrade and smarter new rooms in two up two down blocks of four away from the beach around a nice swimming pool. Prices remain high at over 3000 baht a night for the bungalows as they are a popular weekend getaway for Bangkok Thai families. Even though the wooden beachside bungalows have a fantastic location they are extremely old, poor lighting, uncomfortable bed, cold showers and limited power points. I paid over 3000 baht for a supposedly double bed and for two singles to be put together with single sheets. It came across as very poor. Even when I managed to come here during Covid and was the only westerner on the beach, the prices never dropped,so obviously the hotel are happy with the situation. I noticed the hotel this visit had been taken over by a new company so hopefully they will implement measures to improve the very old beachside bungalows. I still love visiting Koh Samed but will give Samed Cabana a miss until bungalows refurbished and maybe prices go down.…

We had lunch there, and very disappointed. Instead of being presented in the coconut shell, the "Fresh" coconut shake was served in a glass(obviously that didn't use the whole coconut), and mixed with loads of sugar. I have had so many fresh coconut shake in Thailand and had never tasted such a terrible sweet one before. My husband's pork burger was soggy, chips were soggy as well and dried inside. And yet, I was still thinking about giving them some tips ,until I saw they returned me a big pile of coins. I suppose they expected me being too lazy to pick up all the coins, however I am glad that I disappointed them, just like they did to me.

Just a short slow ferry or quicker speedboat is the pleasant island of Koh Samed. It’s been a year since I last stayed during the Covid pandemic where the island was almost closed and totally empty to seeing this time a bustling island with lots of tourism. There are a number of beaches on Samed but I normally vouch for Vongduean beach which is very relaxing with seaside bungalows, seafood beach restaurants & a white sandy beach. Samed Cabana has older wooden beachside bungalows and a modern two storey block with decent sized swimming pool. The rooms are clean and adequate.Low power water shower and limited tv channels. Personally I think the price is too expensive for what’s on offer but I do enjoy the beach environment and pleasant surroundings.

Returned to Koh Samed again two years since Covid pandemic. The island resorts and businesses have been totally decimated by Covid.I stayed Vongduean beach and apart from a few Thais there was absolutely nobody there.I felt so sorry for the locals as they’ve had hardly any business for two years. On previous visits I’ve stayed in the beach bungalows but over BT3000 a night I stayed in the newer block of rooms overlooking the pool.Surprised they’ve kept the same prices as most hotels seem to be about 50% cheaper than normal due to lack of customers. The beach and the sea are wonderful with crisp white sand and azure coloured clear sea. As the resort is very quiet there we’re just a few staff.Breakfast is the usual egg station, fruit, bacon, sausage,Thai porridge plus tea and coffee set overlooking the sea. It’s a fantastic place for couples or family holidays but in my opinion the prices are far to high at present. NB To gain access to ferry/speedboat crossing to Koh Samed a negative Antigen test is required which you will be taken by side car from ferry port to local clinic takes about 20 minutes before you’re allowed to cross to Koh Samed. Overall beautiful island an hours taxi ride from Pattaya but rooms far too expensive.…

Stayed here for 5 days in a beach front cabana. Overall very good experience. The resort itself requires a little TLC but good service, clean rooms, excellent food and very good value for the dollar. Excellent beach with massages, water sports, etc available for extra but very reasonable. Lots of staff to help out whenever needed.

I am currently staying here in Samet and we are having a bad experience. The rooms are ok and the Resort is in a great location on the most beautiful beach but the breakfast/ restaurant is terrible!!! I am not a fussy person especially when it comes to food but this food is so bad i wont eat it, and its not even cheap! The staff are all really young and no one seems to know what is going on. This resort too expensive for the quality even tho we got a great deal, its still not up to standard.

Did not stay in the resort, passed by and the restuarant looked very inviting, however service was very poor, ordered 2 simple Thai dishes, Morning Glory, and Chicken with Cashew Nuts, after waiting 40 minutes the waiter told us it was just being made. The waiter explained they were very busy, but there was a maximum of 20 guests. Paid for our beer and bottle of water and left. For an establishment that charges high prices per room per night ( the rooms looked very nice from the outside) you would expect superior service. The food and drink prices were also higher than other places on the beach. The rating is based only on the experience I had in the Restaurant and not the entire resort experience.

Hotel located in the centre of Ao Wongdeun on Samed island. Bungalow on the beach front is super, clean and well equipped. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is good and they also have good cocktails ( happy hour buy one get one free ) However, room B9, bathroom door need to be improved

I seldom complain but i am urged to write as this used to be such a nice resort.... Now everything is run down..... Not cheap at thb 4500....4 star price but 2 star product and service....... No beach service... Food average... No coffee.... On sunloungers no cushions and no umbrelllas.... Bungalows old..... Beach not clean.... Bottles of previous day..... Staff not attentive..... F&b prices not low but you dare ask 4 percent cc commission which is not even legal...... Sorry i used to come more often but will not come anymore.... Sad.....

Arrived over from the mainland for a few days by speedboat to the small portable jetty in the centre of the beach and a five minute walk to Samed Cabana. We had a beach front bungalow which had an amazing position overlooking Vongduean Bay.the beach is beautiful and the sea turquoise, clear and Luke warm. The bungalow is average at best with small room and small bathroom, adequate air conditioning and tv with just a couple of western channels plus wifi. We had breakfast which was very poor.We arrived just after 9am but the Chinese had been there long before us so almost all the food was gone.Lots if dirty cigarette butts around the restaurant.Staff just wanted to clear the restaurant without anyone coming to see if we needed anything. Rooms very expensive for standard plus nothing outside resort roadside. If just want a beachside bungalow overlooking a beautiful white sandy beach but without much else and are willing to pay top end prices then Samed Cabana and Koh Samet are for you.We arrived during the middle of Chinese New Year which I’d strongly advise booking during this period. …
