The Winery was beautiful and the people were kind and accommodating during our stay. I would just warn everyone that having wine shipped to your home from this winery is risky. We had two expensive magnums mailed to us after our trip and they had both gone bad. We stored them properly but they must have been bad at the winery. We were told there would be no compensation because it is a risk that the buyer takes. It was an expensive risk for us that we were not prepared to take or would have taken if we had been warned.

Dear Leslie, your rating is not a fair representation of your experience. You had a wonderful time and we have granted you a reservation that was made before Covid. We offered a special rate and reserved e great care and attention to you. You have told us that you spent one of the best holiday at Borgo Casa al Vento. You had ordered our wines and you enjoyed our wine before checking in . You did wine tour and tasted all our wines during your stay . Before checking out you ordered the last 2 bottles of a 2008 Riserva . Maybe we were not clear enough when we said that old wine could be very delicate . The fact that you found that these bottles were spoiled could not depend on us. However we offered to replace for free both magnum but asked you to add a new order only to compensate partly the very high delivery cost. I think we have been very fair and honest with you. On the other side your rating is not reflecting the value of the hotel experience you told us during your stay.

Beautiful grounds, excellent restaurant, and high quality wines. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a great location to stay and visit some of the nearby towns and cities during the day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too.

What a lovely surprise! We didn’t have high expectations for this part of our Italy trip due to the star rating (3) but needed a low key stop over in Chianti on a budget. Boy were we thrilled to have picked this hotel….the circumstance is divine, the rooms have all been recently renovated and were immaculate yet authentically Tuscan and the service was some of the best we have had. The restaurant has good food (we ate dinner there 4 nights so tried it all) and breakfast was simple but consistent with fresh homemade pastries and breads. You could not fault this hotel and out did most of the 4 star venues we have tried both in ammenities and service. They even organised massaged and a pamper day for us for Mothers Day (one of the services they offer on request). Whilst we had kids with us (20 months and 11 year old) the venue is better suited to couples and older groups but they went above and beyond to making sure the kids were looked after and welcome. This would be a great venue for smaller corporate conferences as well. Loved the stay Borgo Casa Al Vento Team, thanks for having us!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights last week (March 2023). We are such a beautiful time! The accommodation was super lovely and so cool to stay in such an old stone home! The food was absolutely incredible every single meal. We had a tour of the winery and tried multiple wines and each one was some of the best wine I've ever had, we ended up buying a case to enjoy later. Every one of the staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, accommodating and generally so wonderful. We were treated like gold! We can't wait to go back!!

Myself and my partner stayed for one night at Borgo Casa al Vento. We rented a car which is a must to access the hotel. We had a brilliant stay, our room was lovely and clean. It had a sweet table on the patio right outside our door. The garden, grounds and pool were beautiful. I would highly recommend the on-site restaurant. We had a delicious evening meal featuring traditional Tuscan dishes and a bottle of Chianti Classico wine from their vineyard, which we had tasted on our tour during the same afternoon. We booked the tour directly with the hotel before we arrived. All the staff, from the owners, reception, waiters, chefs and housekeepers were really friendly and welcoming. We felt well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Borgo Casa al Vento to anyone looking for a countryside escape (but still close to Siena) where they can relax with good food, wine and beautiful surroundings.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on a 2 week trip through Tuscany. Borgo Casa Al Vento was a highlight of our trip! We stayed in the house called Caprianna. Updated, very clean, private. We took a cooking class with Vito which we highly recommend! Michele was a huge help with re commendations in the area. Borgo is set in the country and the views are sensational. Also, the owner was super helpful in helping us with our stay and bookings, as we were cancelled from another agriturismo, Relais Orteglia, due to not being vaccinated. Go visit the town of Gaiole. It's such a quaint little gem. 5 stars for Casa Al Vento!

I am sure this place is great for most people. The reviews are certainly very good. Just make sure that you do not get the basement-like 2 bedroom apartment called Noce. The apartment looks very dated with peeling walls with visible water damage/damp spots. Furniture is spotted dirty. The apartment is very dark. Since it is in a low level, most of the high up windows are on level with the ground of the restaurant outdoor seating area, which means that they have frosted glass since you would stare directly into the bathroom and one bedroom from the restaurant otherwise. There is absolutely no view from the apartment. Even though this is a vineyard, the kitchen does not even include wine glasses. Beds are nice, but especially the small bedroom is damp and cellar-like. There is fortunately no damp smells. The restaurant, courtyard, and outdoor restaurant seating area is very cosy, but has no views. The swimming pool area is NOT very inviting. On the booking site, a photo of a different swimming pool which is apparently not public (maybe belongs to one of the rooms???) was the cover photo. That pool looked incredible with views over the surrounding landscape. In general, for the price, this place is not up to par with the other places we have stayed in Toscana/Chianti Classico even though it was the 2nd most expensive with a good margin of the four places, we stayed. The restaurant is very good and service is attentive. Absolutely nothing to fault here. In conclusion, we may have been entirely happy had we gotten a different room. We did ask, but none were available. In fairness, the staff seems to be well aware that this room is not up to par and did give us a compensation. Regarding the photos: The entire apartment except the master bedroom look like this. I could take a dozen more photos like it.

Thanks for your review. Sorry for your bad experience in apartment Noce. As we told you during your stay the apartment had some problems and for this reason we have refunded you 100 euro in cash . You have accepted the refund . You enjoyed our hospitality , the food and the private garden that you have used during your short stay . We offered you to check out without any penalty but you preferred to stay . We can assure you that this apartment will be entirely refurbished next November if we could not renovate earlier only because of covid restrictions . I think you enjoyed a lot our restaurant , wine and food, the courtesy of our staff . So your overall rate looks unfair . I wish you happy life

We have spent recently 5 nights at the Borgo Casa al Vento in a family trip to Tuscany. I defintively recommend this Agriturismo which is located in a very beautiful spot of Chianti surrounded by Vineyards and Olive's trees. My recommandation is for travellers looking for some rest and a real contact with nature. The Borgo is group of few old rural buildings restored by the owner and transformed in a countryside stay close their Sangiovese Vineyards. Pool and other facilities are making the place more amenable. The staff is geniuine and supportive, all are trying their best to help the guests. Food is very tasty and typical. Few things to improve: - more variation in the menus (expecially at breakfast and lunch) - same of the rooms are bit old and needs a renovation. We had some issue with our suite but we have been promptly assisted by Michele and Francesco. Eventually we got a better room and issue solved.

We enjoyed our 5 days there in October very much. Originally we have booked the garden room . After some WhatsApp with Francesco we agreed to move for the last 2 days into the garden suite. Both rooms are great, but the suite has some special features. The restaurant is good and finally we have eaten each day there. It has been much better as to drive in the evening down into the village. Michele showed us the vineyard and explained how they run it and what is produced. We say thank you for the great time at Borgo. We will come back.

Very much enjoyed our stay here, the staff were lovely and the location was perfect. The room was clean with a home like feel. The food can do with some improvement but nothing wrong with it - just basic breakfast of bread, sweets & coffee.
