This hotel has a fantastic view over the lake. However, sadly that is were the good experience stop. We received room 421 and experienced one of the most filthiest rooms: No Wi-Fi in this part of the hotel. After asking staff at reception to reboot the router, it did not solve the problem.  The feedback was, there is nothing we can do about it The bar fridge in the room does not work. The shower drain is clogged. Shower overflows (See photo) The shower head is also clogged and water almost just drips out. The hand shower pipe connection is lose and one has to hold it in place to stay connected The toilet seat is lose (see photo) Long strain of dark hair is still attached to the bathroom tiles. Most likely from a prior guest or cleaner (See photo) Bloodstain on the wall. Which according to reception could be as a result of a prior guest killing a mosquito....(but they don’t offer to clean it) Dust and hair on the floor - room has not been cleaned in a while Some electrical plugs are broken and have missing buttons, not to mention the dirt around them (see photo) The telephone looks like something that was used on the titanic.  The screen is broken and it has not been wiped down or cleaned in years. (see photo) The bed side lamps are almost falling out of their wall sockets (see photo) Mould accumulated on the wall and roof with paint lifting from the wall already. (see photo) This room is filthy and was not cleaned before checking guests in. After making management aware of the issues, nothing was done about it. They never offered to clean the room or give us another room.   They do not care about their guests. Blood stains on walls and other filth does not bother them There are better places to stay – avoid this hotel at all cost. It is dated and the staff don’t care.

We were here at the start of the Low season (late October 2019). This very large facility is basically a banquet hall overlooking the spectacular Lake (Lago) Albano. The facility drive is off the main road as you ascend to the main entrance where there is a electronic gate. The reception person was very hospitable and we found out room overlooking the lake at night. The room is antiquated but clean and maintained well enough. As in most older facilities there is a slight lack of electronic outlets but we managed well enough. The area was very quiet and very pleasant. I can only imagine what goes on here in the summer. There was a wedding banquet held there while we were there. I got the impression that there were 4 other couples in the hotel. We decided to eat dinner there as we were very tired. We were 2 of 3 customers in the dining room, upstairs. The waiter was superb, the meal? So, so. Maybe it is because they had just opened at half past 7PM. I ordered an Entrecote steak, my wife ordered a seafood pasta. Both were"reasonable", that is, nothing special. I also noticed that the seafood bits (octopus, calamari, shrimps and mussels were just barely cooked. I d not know if this was a Chef error or, that in this region they eat it just barely cooked. Anybody? The night was very pleasant and the next morning's breakfast was also, very nice. This meal was better (and cheaper) than the previous night's meal. The staff were very nice and very friendly, no complaints there. All and all a very pleasant stay and we recommend it very much.

Stayed here for a few days while away on business. The hotel appears to be big into weddings and events. Terrace overlooking the lake is the best part for me. Due to out of the way location and free parking on site your better off having a vehicle when staying here. Castel Gandolfo is +12 minutes drive away. (A very chalenging walk!) Decided not to eat here as there was no vibe. Breakfast was basic (Not good enough for 4 star!), but coffee was excellent. My room was clean and spacious with balcony overlooking the lake. Strong Wi-Fi. Sadly pool was turning green so avoided having a swim. In my opinion one would ideally want to be on the opposite side of the lake closer to Castel Gandolfo!

This hotel appears to be more of a wedding venue. The hotel and the rooms are comfortable but quite dated. I had a room with a nice balcony and a Lake Albano view. The rooms without a view would not be as positive experience. The breakfast was standard fare but the help was very friendly. The location is nice but isolated but being a walker/hiker, I liked the isolation. The restaurant did not serve lunch during the time I was there and it was a good walk to the nearest place for a decent lunch. I was placed at this hotel by my business host but would not choose this hotel if the choice was mine.

This hotel has a lot going for it, and could be really great - we had high expectations based on the location and photos, and would say the building has very classic design, lots of tile floors, a somewhat grand staircase and beautiful views of the lake. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating which is nice as well. We had two rooms, and both were fine but could have been much nicer with a little attention - just seemed like they were worn down. For example there was a giant battleship grey desk in one that was quite beat up and seemed out of place, and the leather couch was also very plain. However the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was fine if a little small, so the stay was perfectly fine for us. If we were staying longer I think the rooms would seem a bit dreary. Staff was very friendly, price was quite good (80Euro each room), and the breakfast was good (lots of pastries, coffee, eggs, fruit, etc). There is no swimming pool, so that picture is inaccurate. There is a swimming spot across the road for 5 Euros, so that would be nice, though we couldn't take advantage of it. I would recommend for a stay if you are in the area, but the rooms are really just for sleeping.

Poor room. No view. Rude , unhelpful , slow staff. No apologies when I found a snake in the doorway of my room! Don't order tea, at 6 euros a pot, a trifle expensive. Nice breakfast, but had to chase staff for coffee. Go stay other side of the lake! And no pool! It has been closed for ever! ( despite being told it would open if he got a lifeguard : which was a lie). Restaurant serves overly fussy Italian food at inflated prices.

Good facility, good restaurant, breathtaking view, good location for special events! A little bit expensive, but is worthing. Nice spot for exploring Castelli Romani, Rome (very close to airport but try to avoid taxi it will charge you out city fares!). Tracking, bikes, lake, plus a lot of history around. Good option even out season.

Came in at 19.00, during low season (april), average air temperature outside was 11 celsius.pretty gray sky, typical bad WX day. Room was at 15-16° I guess, as well corridors, no central heaters on, I had to turn on the mitsubishi in room air conditioner (with heat pump) to max to get some acceptable temperature inside. Bed also pretty bad, queen room made by jointure of two single beds, easy separable by some "in room activity" . Bathroom quite clean, including shower tray, water was hot and constant, and toilette super clean but with broken moving seat. overall pretty bad night due to inconstant temperature climate ad super stiff bed. grade of sleep/room stay : 4/10 Restaurant was pretty slow to serve meals, but overall good food quality ....restricted choices on menu, and lack of ability to serve simple food such as plain rice, boiled vegetables, some grilled chine, or eggs. grade of restaurant services: 3/10 Breakfast , pretty basic, not really the proper continental breakfast for a 4 starts hotel. overall a pretty bad stay, which became good because I wasn't alone ;) ...

Don't book this through Master golf Italy. Master Golf/Milena have booked us tee times on a golf course which was closed and they did't refund (even she promised to do so) a prepaid transportation fee for a transportation that she could't arrange for us and we have to arrange alternative transportation.
