Beautiful here. Clean and quiet, very well maintained. The hiking trail has gravel and wooden platforms (at least the part we walked). Well spaced campsites, plenty of privacy. Would go back for sure.

Booked reservation 2+ months in advance. Having never been there/limited pics we relied on the camp site length ratings - ours was for 31 feet (the full length of our RV). We pulled into our site and our last name was on a placard with our reservation dates. Our site #7 was not level, we basically had the front of the coach nearly hanging out of the drive after 30 min of trial and error, just to get close enough so our fridge wouldn't vapor lock. Luckily nobody complained (that we know of!). No hook-ups (we knew this). Campsites well spaced, so plenty of privacy. The website said fishing...never found that - there was no fishing allowed at the viewing area and the river was shallow and fast moving with limited access. If you are coming here to fish in June, well good luck. The sites are well maintained/clean. Plenty of sites that are (closer to) level. Very nice gravel trail good for for easy hiking/bike riding (experienced with grades and turns recommended if riding). Bring your bug spray, the mosquitos are vicious here. Game Warden drove through at least once that we saw. Lots of camera candy for sure. Enjoyed the stay, only complaint is site #7 should be rated less than 31ft. Agree with previous rather, the pull-through looked to be the best.

No hook ups but plenty of nature in an uncrowded setting. Each site is separated from the next so it is private. Alaska the way it should be! Very happy that we discovered this place! It even stopped raining!!

The best thing Alaska has going for it in the summer are it's great campgrounds. Real Alaska wilderness, outside the busyness and touristy towns. This campground is not too far from Seward, near the highway, and has some great hikes. Wildflowers all over the place in the summer. It is near the highway so you will hear some car traffic from time to time.
