Advertised as one of the few 5 star hiotels on Guam - for some good reasons.. Great rooms, super ocean views, great service and friendly staff. Addionally, there was always some special event going on - oh, did I mention the beach? The food was great - but super expensive, but not out of line with the other 5 star hotels on island. It was a great stay - Thank you, Westin!

Hotel is just average. It's not terrible but there's nothing special about it. It's definitely showing its age like many of the resorts in the area. Rooms are fine but showing age. Beach itself is subpar; beautiful views but the chairs and umbrellas are torn and rusting. No one cleans the beach area at all ad there is trash strewn about. Where I was sitting was littered with cigar butts. Obviously people are slobs who would do that but I can't believe the report doesn't tidy up each morning. I stayed here and got pretty much what I expected based on reading other reviews here. It's expensive for what you get but I was here for work (with a free day) so I'm happy to get the Marriot points. If I was here for vacation I'd be disappointed.

Great view from the room and nice swimming pools and the beach. Trying to be good to the Marriott high teirs. But it is robotic services for that. In general, I would go back bc of its location and the beach. Starbucks inside is so so so slow. It’d take 30 minutes of uour time if there are 2 people in front of you. Luggage system and bell boys are really not systematic. Stayed for 5 nights. First day after checking in - took ages to get our bags in the room. Please take them on your own if you dont want wait for all day long. And checking out day, we sort of needed the help from baggage men. Called 3 times. But they were saying they were coming but it took an hour… I had to come down to look for anyone to help the bags but they were busy talking to each other. Laughing and joking ? And didnt even picking up the calls when I was waiting to talk to them. They kept me holding. Finally, one person went up to get the bags… it took an hour from my first request and three ph calls to that duty department. Slow services for sure.

This was actually my third stay at this hotel and this last one was easily my worst experience. I understand that the Typhoon caused some issues and I took that into consideration when writing this review. First, the good. This has been one of the better hotels in the area based on my experience, at least historically. Now, the bad. The wifi is total garbage. I stayed for two weeks and it consistently would just drop out for a minute or two. Then, the last two nights it just stopped working entirely. Be warned, there is nobody on-site that can help you. They make you call a support line that just tells you they are working it but don't do anything apparently. They also tossed out my laundry bag full of clothes that I was told to leave outside for them to pickup. The room attendant (apparently) just threw it away. I have some suspicions that isn't what actually happened, but they did compensate me sort of. They paid me out about half of what it actually took to replace my clothes. Staff is really nice and the facilities are clean. They were doing some work (Typhoon related, I suspect), but they started early and it was really loud and disturbing.

We were upgraded to a suite and had a large room with a city/beach view. The bed was not a Westin mattress, it squeaked and the coils could be felt when you sat on the mattress. The bed was on a rolling bedframe & not attached to the wall. I'm not sure if this was because of the typhoon water damage that the hotel experienced or if this was the norm. Besides the bed, the room was a nice size with good amenities. The breakfast was plentiful. The lounge was on the 3rd floor in the Italian restaurant, a temporary location, while the top floor lounge was being renovated because of typhoon damage. Every night of our stay, the lounge was overrun with people lining up before it opened at 5 pm for their free food/drinks. It was hard to believe that that many guests were Marriott status members - it felt like the entire hotel was invited to the lounge. It was a completely chaotic feeding frenzy and was not at all enjoyable. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and beach amenities (SUP boards, kayaks, for rent), lounge chairs were first come, first served but many of them were broken and rusty. Most of the railings on the exterior of the hotel were missing or a sharp rusty mess. A lot of the interior flooring tiles were also broken and missing. The typhoon caused a lot of damage but in speaking with other guests we concluded that much of this disrepair was probably in place prior to the typhoon.

Would not pay to stay here with my own money. You hear every event well into the night. Intertouch the IT company they outsource their terrible wifi to, cant figure out how to get a consistent signal.

America’s day begins in Guam. I flew across the International Dateline to attend a history tour of Guam and Iwo Jima. Arriving several days early I stayed at The Weston Resort Guam waiting for the official tour to begin. The Weston Resort has a wide, sandy beach on the Tumon Bay which is part of the Philippine Sea. Facing west the sunsets are spectacular from the beach and the pool that overlooks the beach. Portions of the restaurant also overlook the ocean. Although I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast, I am sure the quality and presentation of lunch and dinner were equally great. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of offerings. I became well acquainted with the omelet chef. The Weston Resort is close to other hotels, restaurants and shopping. The historic sites from World War II are close by and easy to get to. The international airport is just a few minutes away. And the residence of Guam are friendly and welcoming. The Weston staff was helpful, friendly and courteous.

Very nice property with so much potential not realized. As it stands, calling this 4-star hotel a resort is a bit of a stretch although it does have a nice semi-private beach with nice clam couples beds in the sand. Otherwise, everything in the pool area is a half measure including closed up hot tub. Pool opening at 10 am is very poor policy for those wanting to swim before the sun is hottest ... should be at least 8 am. The hotel has an interesting design but the 15 room floors open to the ceiling above the lobby on 5th floor is very stark/plain and needs some interest added such as flowers or design such as common with Hyatt hotels. Was this hotel only opened this year? Why hasn't something been done to add visual interest instead of a very boring look. The executive lounge on 21st floor is quite nice with mostly good food in the evening (although some items need quality control such as watery Clam Chowder and mozzarella sticks overcooked). Good coffee machine for espresso/cappuccino. Good views and friendly staff. This lounge really needs to be open for breakfast as well (only opens at 2 pm) ESPECIALLY since there isn't any espresso coffees available in the restaurant. Hotel rooms are good with a good American-style coffee maker. Night tables are desperately missing in twin queen room, only 1 between the 2 beds with plenty o empty space on either side of both beds ... a terrible setup with couples sleeping in same bed (although would have preferred a single King bed but forgot to ask for a change if possible). The large TV/fridge/work station all-in-one furniture was efficient and well designed. TV reception is only SD. Only 1 hand soap bar provided. No bath soap other than in a bottle dispenser. The main restaurant (TASTE) looks good but fails to deliver up to standards ... except the egg station cooks are excellent! Besides no espresso style drinks possible (talk about a terrible shortcoming ... inexcusable in modern times), the coffee is variable (sometimes OK, often not good/burnt), the bread/pastry is not fresh tasting or pleasant to eat, fruit selection is variable (bananas only offered 1 day out of 4). The buffet really needs to be re-thought and made truly FRESH and TASTEY ... a big disappointment (but plenty to eat of course). Staff are pleasant but can't make up for the lackluster food quality. Front desk is helpful and friendly. Lobby show Sat. evening is a nice treat to showcase Guam culture. Free parking is appreciated. Overall, management needs to bring it up a notch and maybe stop calling the hotel a resort since it is minimal in that category especially compared to true resorts nearby.

We traveled from Germany to Guam and stayed in the Westin Guam. The Staff is really friendly and helpful. The Beach is awesome. It’s a nice place for vacation. Thanks to the GM for a real nice talking. The Hotel is in a nice condition and the breakfast is really good. Thanks Westin for a nice Stay in Guam.

Great location (I love the view), service, room quality, food, and much more to offer, especially when traveling with kids. If you are looking for Starbucks, Westin is the only place to find Starbucks in Guam. I highly recommend this hotel.
