The spirit of Aloha is not imaginary- experience it yourself by staying at this B & B property. Experience local life in this quiet subdivision instead of a massive hotel. Less than 1 mile to some of world's ranked best beaches, you will live like a local with all the amenities you need for an extended stay. The attention to detail can also be found outside surrounded by a tropical array of local flora and also an ocean facing deck for watching the beautiful sunsets Maui has to offer .Owners are happy to assist you with sightseeing info and make you feel as if you are a part of their Ohana/family.

We had stayed at DCT many years ago and had fond memories of the place and hosts. Our decision to return again after so many years was influenced by our previous stay and their website, which talks about creating a family atmosphere, points out the 1/2 acre landscaped property, the use of a lounge area to mingle with other guests, your hosts, etc and, if you click on the link to continental breakfast, features a photo of a lovely tray of cereal, fresh fruit, baking and a flower. We arrived to a very brief “here is your room” introduction, and did not have any subsequent personal interaction with our hosts except for a chance encounter in the driveway. We stayed for eight nights in a B&B room and breakfast consisted of grocery store style bread items and small tubs of jam, butter and cream cheese, refreshed with exactly the same items every three days. When we asked if it was possible to change to yogurt and/or fresh fruit, the hosts advised that this was all they could provide for the rate we paid for the room, being under $200 a night. Oh, and the guest room featured on their website has been closed since COVID. And the 1/2 acre estate is fenced, with a sign indicating it is private property and advising you not to touch the fruit trees. They’ve had three years to change their website to reflect the services and features of the property they are willing to provide to people who pay the stated rate at this stage of COVID, but have not bothered to do so. We feel the place and service was misrepresented on their website which forms the basis upon which travellers, certainly us, base their decisions.

My wife and I just spent 9 nights at Dreams Come True. It was our first time in Hawaii and we couldn't have had a better living situation. We rented the cottage, so this review only addresses that facility (Dreams also has some "normal" B&B rooms on the property). The cottage is a free standing home in front of the main home. It's perfectly outfitted with a lovely living room and bedroom and a fully outfitted kitchen (it even had a blender so we could try the Pina Colada recipe we were given by our tour guide at the Maui Pineapple Farm). The bathroom is also very nice and has a great rain forest shower. The owners of the property, Tom and Carol, provide everything a guest could need. There is beach equipment including snorkels, fins, beach towels, chairs and an beach umbrella. There is also a washer and dryer that sits at the end of the carport for the cottage, but is available for all the guests to use. The property is located about 1 1/4 miles from the closest beach and is an easy four minute drive (we never walked it since we were carrying beach equipment). The neighborhood is perfect and peaceful and the view from the deck where we had breakfast and some happy hours (if you live in the cottage you're responsible for your own breakfast, but we took advantage of the Safeway which is only about 8 minutes away) is spectacular. The Dreams website talks about having an ocean view from the deck--that's true, although you only see sliver of the ocean. But the view in the other direction is of the foothills of Haleakala, the 10,000 foot volcano on Maui and it's spectacular. The property is also only about five minutes from a shopping center with some excellent restaurants including Monekypods and a few more minutes to the posh Shops at Wailea shopping area. And close to there are the upscale Four Seasons and Fairmont Resorts. My wife and I had drinks at the Fairmout and we agreed that as lovely as it was, we would still opt to stay at Dreams. It gave us a great base to explore the island and the price, especially for the quality of the property, is truly extraordinary given the typical costs of Maui accommodations.

Can't say enough about Dreams Come True Bed and Breakfast on Maui. They accommodated my long stay and it was just delightful for me. The house in immaculate. I had my own private entrance to my room and complete privacy. Breakfast served every morning and the room and bathroom was delightful. Never really seen the owners of the house all that much. They were rather quiet and so was the guest. Would I visit & stay at the B&B, absolutely again. Hope they continue operating for years to come. I think I visited in Nov 2019 for almost a month.

I really appreciate my stay in this bed and breakfast. The place is clean, and cured in every detail. You don't have only the bed and the bathroom but you can use snorkel set, chairs for the beach, little kitchen, a refrigerator, parking and wifi and every small piece inside the room is beatiful! I miss this place!! Mahalo Denise&Tom

A beautiful and very well equipped cottage, set in a lovely garden, and very close to perfect beaches. Tom and Denise are wonderful and generous hosts, who provide you with everything you need, like all the beachgear you can imagine, snorkels, fins, beach umbrella, towels and chairs, as well as with truly helpful information for exploring Maui. They give you privacy, but if you need something they're happy to help and you can see their love for detail and concern for their guests wellbeing in every corner. We'll gladly come back.

My husband and I had our honeymoon here and had a simply wonderful experience! We had rented the cottage for six days but I came down with an ear infection which necessitated us staying a few extra days and our hosts gladly accommodated us: they set us up for one night in the Ocean room and two nights in the Rainforest room so we experienced all of what Dreams Come True has to offer. I cannot say enough good about how wonderful this experience was: our hosts went above and beyond to provide a comfortable experience. The cottage was amazing and the kitchen was the most well-equipped one of any rental facility I have ever experienced before: I could have easily made a multi course dinner for 10 people with all the kitchen tools and gadgets available. The BnB rooms were also well equipped with outdoor kitchens, plenty of beach gear, and lots of information about the local area. Each BnB room has a nice outside porch area with comfortable seating. The grounds of the facility are gorgeous and well-landscaped: the property is surrounded by trees and greenery so you get a very good sense of seclusion and privacy. Our hosts were warm, friendly, and helpful and we sincerely enjoyed getting to know them. There were all sorts of cute little touches, like the ends of toilet paper rolls folded in pretty fans and beautifully decorated breakfasts trays. We also were amazed at the prices: we had a wonderful experience for a cost much lower than we expected to find on Maui. My husband and I will be back many times to enjoy the wonderful hospitality at Dreams Come True!

Planned and booked our stay here well in advance and glad that we did. Dreams Come True on Maui was a great and convenient home base during our stay of 16 days in Maui. Communications with Tom were prompt, thorough and straightforward. He greeted us when we checked in after our arrival in Maui and gave us a good run through of everything that we needed to know for an enjoyable stay in the cottage, including providing restaurant suggestions for dinner after our day of traveling from the mainland. Lots of good recommendations and suggestions for our time in Maui. Everything was well stocked and supplied and if we needed anything, Tom and Denise were always prompt in addressing any that came up. Plenty of towels and linens, laundry supplies, snorkel and beach gear to use. The neighborhood is quiet, allowing one to enjoy the sound of the birds throughout the day. A good place to be away from the busy beach and condo area. We loved having the well set up kitchen, along with the outdoor grill to be able to prepare most of our meals and enjoy on the lanai with the beautiful views of Haleakala and sunsets over the ocean. Great location, with the beaches in Kihei just minutes away (only about 5 minutes drive to Keawakapu Beach, as well as others in Kihei and Wailea). Quick access to Piilani Hwy to make it easy to explore the rest of Maui. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Maui. Mahalo nui loa Tom and Denise!

My husband and I stayed in the Rainforest Room at this B&B for a week in October. The B&B is conveniently located to all the shops and restaurants in Kihei and Waimea, and even has a view of the ocean. The accommodations were compact but complete, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The innkeepers were excellent and informative, preparing filling and attractively presented breakfasts for us each morning. They were very accommodating with our request for a late check out, and so kind in unexpectedly providing chicken noodle soup for my husband who came down with the flu. The best value is the private and spacious cottage with complete kitchen, which we hope to book on our next trip to Maui!

I chose this B&B based on the pictures, the moderate price, and the availability of a king size bed. (Also, the hosts responded quickly to my inquiry... a plus! I like good communication!) The bed was great, but that was the best part. We were assured that the wall unit a/c would cool the room fast. Um, if you call 2 hours fast. We were HOT for a long time when we came 'home' every evening. Some evenings it was very uncomfortable! The bathroom is tiny, the shower is small but adequate. The kitchenette has a microwave and a little fridge, a few dishes that you have to wash in the bathroom sink or outside in their dirty outdoor kitchen area, some utensils, towels and hot pads. You can cook or grill in their outside kitchen but like I mentioned, it was not clean. We never used it. We ate out or just ate fruit and stuff that didn't require cooking. We were told they had all the beach equipment we'd need but we found it very poorly stocked and maintained. The umbrella was totally broken and would not even stay up. We wasted half a day driving 35 minutes to Walmart in Kahului to get a new one... then 35 min back to the beach at Kihei. (The highway speed limit is 40!😳) They did give us a new umbrella the next day, after we bought our own. We used both everyday after that. Their snorkel gear was just gross! Sandy, dirty ...no way we were going to put those things in our mouths or on our faces! We bought our own snorkel gear at Walmart too. Their beach chairs were fine and we appreciated the straw mats to set our gear and bags on so they didn't get so sandy. A small cooler was furnished, but only the ice you could make in two little ice trays in the itty bitty freezer of the tiny frig. (Bring your own zip lock bags for the ice.) The breakfasts were disappointing, except for the mango! The first few days, they gave us fresh mango from their own tree! It was fantastic! But the tree ran out of mangoes and then we got store-bought fruit ( which by the way is no better than mainland fruit, much to our dismay). We could choose 4 items from a limited list: gluten free cereal (Cheerios), regular cereal, (I don't remember what kind... something like Raisin Brand I think), a croissant, a cup of orange juice or milk, a homemade muffin, (it wasn't that good) or fresh fruit. After trying everything on the list, we just stuck with a croissant and fruit every day. It was not fantastic or even great. It was just ok. The laundry facilities are down a steep driveway in a carport of another unit. No one else was staying there so we didn't feel like we were intruding. They furnished the laundry soap but no dryer sheets. The parking situation leaves something to be desired. You have to go up that same very steep driveway and park in front of their garage in one of two narrow spots. (Don't get a low riding car! We had a Buick and ended up trading it in for a Jeep!) If there are other vehicles on sight, you have to park down the hill in the carport where the laundry is. I enjoyed the little chameleons that skitter all over the property. They didn't come inside, though I think they would have if we'd left the screen door open. The grounds and yard were beautiful! We ate breakfast on the deck most mornings, looking out over the treetops and neighborhood, listening to the birds and insects. It was glorious! We were told it was a short 15 minute walk to the beach. Ya no. We drove to the beach. But that was ok because we were able to choose a different beach everyday... until we found the one we fell in love with! Then we just stuck with that one for the rest of our stay. It was about 6 miles from the B&B but soo worth the drive! The hosts were nice. That's all. We didn't really click or bond with them. We tried. (We were there for 12 days.) However, on our last day, they very graciously allowed us to check out late since they had no one checking in that day and to make up for the parking difficulties we had during our stay due to their workers working on the property everyday. Our flight left late and we didn't want to give up our last day at the beach... but would have had no place to shower before going to the airport, so they let us shower there and leave late in the afternoon. It was very kind of them! We had a fantastic time in Maui! The beach we fell in love with is called Po'olenalena. It's to the south in Wailea. But if we ever go back (which we hope to do) we will try another B&B. We don't feel any nostalgia or loyalty to this one.
