We had a lovely stay for a couple nights and it was perfect. It is located within walking distance of the downtown area and perfect for day tripping to other parts of Door County. We loved the hosts and really felt like kings of the castle during our stay. Highlights for us were family game time in the game room with happy hour (cheese, sausage, crackers, and nuts) from 4-6 pm, porch coffee and tea in the morning, and a beautiful breakfast spread with fresh fruit, pastries and more.

Honestly - everything about this BNB was perfect! Between the wonderful owners, the room, the breakfast, daily happy hour, and the beautiful porch, really what else do you need? They even had good coffee. Had a great time. Everything was clean and comfortable.

If you want a perfect place to stay for porch filled peace and quiet, with the perfect balance of friendly attendence and respectful independence, the Door County Dragonfly Inn is the place should should reserve in advance and enjoy your stay there. Beautifully kept historic b&b with lovely clean comfortable bed and chairs with arms. TV was available but we did not really use it. Nice jacuzzi. The only drawback was the relatively steep stairs, which may be difficult for some seniors to use. Hostest and host were exceptionally kind and enjoyable conversationalists: offered good advice on sites to see and good restaurants to try. We thoroughly enjoyed our Door County visit to Sturgeon Bay and the Dragonfly Inn.

We arrived late on the 4th of July. Lauren and Matt and another couple greeted us as it poured. Our room was absolutely lovely, the bathroom was huge, and they have decorated the place to the nines! Breakfast of scones, fresh fruit is delicious. Coffee is upstairs ready at 6 AM and breakfast is at 8 AM plus. Eating on the spacious porch was special. We walked everywhere from their Victorian. Matt and Lauren have put so much effort into everything; there is even a second floor refrigerator with water bottles, juices and tea bags. Snacks are there, too. We wish we would have stayed there all four nights of our visit to Sturgeon Bay.

My partner and I decided at the last minute to book a stay in door county for the 4th of July. Due to the last minute nature we were having a difficult time finding somewhere to stay, only to stumble upon the The Dragonfly, which we are so thankful to have found. Driving up from Chicago we requested a late check in which was graciously not a problem with owners Lauren & Matt. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly and warm Lauren who gave us a tour of their cozy, eclectic, plant filled, vintage yet modern b&b. We stayed in the Sunrise room, which was perfect! Spacious, comfortable bed, and wonderful natural light, not to mention a private bathroom the size of some NYC apartments! Every morning Lauren had a nice breakfast spread of yogurt, fruit, and the best scones we have ever had (locally sourced)! This was the perfect way to start our days, and allowed us to get to know the history of the b&b and surrounding area curtesy of the very personable Lauren. Overall, the dragonfly was the perfect spot for us looking for a weekend getaway. Being central to town allowed us to explore via feet, and appreciate all Sturgeon Bay has to offer. The b&b was clean, and well maintained. We strongly recommend to those looking for a quaint place to stay! We hope to be back again soon.

What a delightful stay. The bed and breakfast was beautiful! We stayed 2 nights there and we enjoyed Loreen and the accommodations. The personal touches like fresh muffins for breakfast and happy hour from 4-6pm, who does that? We also needed help to find a light house. Best picture I have taken and we had it all to ourselves including the rainbow. This bed and breakfast made out vacation a time too remember! Please give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
