Biggest complaint was that there was only one rather dim light in the entire bathroom which was over the sink. You basically had to bathe in the dark. Light was so dim it was impossible to put on make-up. Vanity area was rather small but at least offered some room for your toiletries. Sink was also very short, handicap accessible level, which made no sense why. It was a little difficult to use. Towels were a little on the thin side.
The walls were also a little thin as we could hear the people next to us talking in the middle of the night.
We were given a room toward the rear of the hotel and did not hear any noise from the road.
The mattresses and pillows were comfortable and the room was reasonably spacious and appeared clean.
Was pleased that the clerk was behind a large plexi-glass screen.
Breakfast was pretty good. Hot choices included eggs, sausage, potatoes, and waffles. The eggs tasted real not the powdered ones usually served. It would have been nice if there had been a turkey bacon or sausage option. Staff seemed to be doing a good job of cleaning the breakfast area, but did not wear masks.
Would have given a better rating had it not been for the lighting situation in the bathroom.

SUPER clean hotel with helpful and kind staff. I stay in a lot of chain motels and this one is a bargain for what you get. Mainly the cleanliness!! I hope housekeeping is paid well because it's very noticeable, especially since it's a slightly older property. That said I barely noticed it. My room looked out on the river which I didn't expect!! Great stay here and I wish I was going back through La Crosse so I could stay again!!

The Quality Inn was our “home” for 2 days in La Crosse. It was a very satisfactory stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet during the night. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good. Our only complaint was that, after our first night’s stay, housekeeping did not clean up our room.

Stayed overnight. Got a great rate deal on the room. Small room, clean and comfortable. Pleasant whirlpool and heated swimming pool. Free breakfast was better than average. Room felt a little bit stale, not sure the bathroom exhaust fan was truly moving air out of the room. Would still recommend for travelers.

On Dec 16 2020 I arrived at 11:30 am. when I tried to check in they informed me that they were adding a $20 additional fee since I was checking in before 3 pm. I told them that in my 17 years as a diamond member with choice hotels I have never been charged for early check in. Due to covid they had dozens of rooms ready but they insisted I had to pay $20 more. When I objected they rudely cancelled my reservation why I was in front of them forcing me to leave. The owner was very rude and I left and went next door to the EconoLodge which gladly accepted me. I will never stay at that Quality Inn again.

Walls are thin and you hear everything going on around you. Wall next to the bed had dirt all over it. Desk chair had food (at least I hope it was food) stuck to the arms. Every picture and lampshade in the room need to be fixed, as in straightened . We had a upstairs neighbor that was an extremely bad neighbor. We heard him bounce around from midnight to 3 a.m.. When we sent front desk to talk to him they made a HUGE bang on the floor. And we got a phone call at 5 a.m. You don't feel really safe here.

Standard Quality Inn, breakfast was good, didn't use the pool. Had reserved a room with a king bed, got a room with a queen. I would say ask for a even numbered room, We were in 111, and the room backs up to another hotel parking lot, so quite a bit of noise. When we went to check out, the girl at the front desk saw me, ran into the back room, and never came back even though I said hello and rang the buzzer????

Overall just very dirty, nothing smelled right in the entire building. Room was pretty dingy as well, and there was a hole in the bathroom door where it appears someone tried to kick through it. We weren't expecting a 5-star experience by any means, but even for a 2-Star hotel it was not great at all.

We wanted to view the southerly migrating tundra swans on upper Mississippi flyway, which congregate in early to mid November. In our 70s, we’ve been isolating in metro Milwaukee for months. This hotel was so well organized re safety, had friendly front desk help, and room so clean, comfortable and accommodating, that we were so pleased. We have a service dog who was welcome. Room also had a HD TV, microwave and fridge, so perfect. Close to I90 so could run across bridge to MN side of Mississippi to view birds and ducks. Perfect location. Eagles and tundra swans galore. La Crosse has many well regarded restaurants.

I would give the hotel five stars for the quality of the room and accommodations, but am taking two stars off for the poor quality of sleep I experienced during my one-night stay, and for management's lack of concern.

At 4:55 AM, my room phone rang. I picked it up and it was just a dial tone. About five minutes later, it rang again. This time, an automated message said something to the effect of, "the automated messaging service can't be reached." The first call I would have excused as a misdial; the second seems indicative of a hotel phone system issue.

I asked the front desk staff when I checked out about it, but they seemed neither concerned nor willing to do anything to ease my frustration. I followed up twice by email and received no resolution.

I stay in the La Crosse area several times each year. Sleep is my number one priority at a hotel. This Quality Inn was unable to provide me with a good sleep experience, and doesn't seem willing to make the situation right. Not trusting they'll do anything to fix the issue, I won't be staying here again in the future.

We didn't have a dog and I didn't see any there but they were very helpful so I agree with the others that the best is to call.
