You can't ask for better hosts than Christine and Jim! From check in to checkout we were treated like royalty. The breakfasts were to die for! Even with my food allergies, they worked around them! We had the third floor room and even with the heat wave, the room remained nice and cool. the claw foot tub was heaven to soak in. Just ask them about things to do in Blackstone, and they know all the best places to go! We celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary. The heart shaped cake with the swans on top was a wonderful touch. What wonderful memories! Thank you Jim and Christine!

The desk clerks were friendly, both checking in and out. Everything at the desk was handled quickly and accurately. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything in the room worked. The pool was cloudy and cold. Breakfast was reduced to cereals and pastries. The parking lot could use some more lights and some repairs. Basically, this was an average stay. Nothing horrid, nothing special. Maybe I'll return, maybe I'll try a competitor in a nearby town.

Kevin and Brittany at the front desk were always great help. I think they deserve a raise. Before I went to swim Kevin made sure the pool was cleaned. Not saying this place is perfect! i enjoyed it though. i was there on work. only bad thing to say is ,Kevin put me in to have my room cleaned one of the housekeepers pass it up. i came down the next day around 6:30 and told Brittany and she said something to her and the maid said back,"tell her April can do it tomorrow"! i told her to tell her I was going to report her. that is the only bad thing I can say about this place. The restaurant next door was good as well.

The hotel is dated and needs a really good clean. Shower stall and floor had mold growing. UGH! The in-door pool was open but not inviting. Green patches on the sides and the windows were mildewed. The front desk manager, Mike, was the most sullen, unfriendly and rude customer service rep. I have ever come across. The front door states you have to wear a mask to enter and when you are in the public areas. No one wore a mask except me - guests or day staff. Maintenance man did not wear one. House keeper did not wear one. Front desk manager did not wear one. The lights in the car park were not on at night making it uncomfortable to be out in the evening. Much of the amenities were not available due to Covid-19, which is understandable, but the staff were not on their game at all. Breakfast was limited but adequate. I usually enjoy my stay with Quality Inn but this is not a hotel I will be going back to. Booked and stayed for 4 nights but think I should have paid a little more and stayed somewhere else. Not the best experience.

We stayed at this hotel based on 8 other customers positive reviews. Unfortunately our experience was NOT exceptional or close to positive. While this is an affordable place to stay around$100/night, you cannot put a price on you and your children's health. Rocco the on duty manager, added chemicals into the pool while my 9 yr old son and I were swimming. I can only assume the chlorine level were not high enough to prevent bacterial growth. We both ended up with infections (skin and urine). Not sure what else to do except write reviews and show pictures of the flith. So here are my son's feet after walking barefoot on the floor of the hotel room #104 for 15 min after swimming in pool 2 hours and and then bathing afterwards. Seriously he was pruned and squeaky clean prior to the picture. I showed the feet picture to the manager and he had the carpet shampood while we visited friends nearby in Crewe. Needless to say we kept socks and shoes on thereafter.

The rooms are clean along with the softness of the mattress. For the price they charge you it should be a microwave in the king size room and the ice machine should be working at all times. The discount is very little off. The breakfast isn't to bad but not enough variety to choose from.

Stoped in to shop. Wow!! I have never seen this much candy in one place at one time ever. If you’ve had it before, even as a kid, chances are they have twenty pounds of it. Unbelievable! Realistic pricing and a nice clean atmosphere.

About a 15 minute drive to Farmville, I rate this hotel as average on account of it being in need of some upgrades and attention to detail when it comes to house keeping. The room was satisfactory but desperately in need of additional general cleaning. While not a Hampton Inn by any stretch, the room was relatively inexpensive, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. This venue was not the caliber of hotel I prefer, but based on availability in the Farmville area, it worked. They also had an ok free continental breakfast.

We checked in for a two night stay. The front desk staff was very helpful and very southern friendly. Made us feel like we just got home instead of checking in to a hotel. Both of our rooms were very clean and well appointed. All necessary stock items were in place. Tv was a little hard to figure out, but once we figured it out, no further problems. There is no shopping of any kind except Dollar General in this town so, if you want anything, bring it with you. 20 something miles east is Blackstone Va and they have WalMart and fast food and convenience stores. This hotel is within ten minutes of the Norfolk Southern RR's Crewe Va yard and that is why the hotel is where it is, layover spot for RR crews. All in all an acceptable place to stay in the middle of nowhere.

We needed somewhere to stay in order to attend a funeral nearby. We were delighted to find this place. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated having a ceiling fan as it makes sleeping ever so much more comfortable. Breakfast was the usual, however, the attendant made eating there more fun. There's an elevator. Yeah! The u-haul rental does eliminate a lot of parking and a few more lights in the parking lot would help.
