This place is good if you plan on using it for sleeping only. Can't beat the price if that's your intent. However, beware that if you do mind typical "old building things" like peeling and bubbling wall paper, stained ceiling tiles, outdated and rusty fixtures, chipping furniture, you may not feel comfortable here. If you are a light sleeper, you may also not feel comfortable here - the walls are thin, and the doors on the first floor, which open straight out onto the parking lot, are not terribly well-fitted to their frames, allowing noise to easily drift in. The location, on the other hand, is great. It's a quick 15-minute jaunt over to the mountain in the morning, and a less than 5-minute drive to charming downtown Wilmington. The hosts do offer breakfast in the mornings, but I can't vouch for it - we found it started too late for us to eat and get to the mountain early enough. The place also does not supply "Do Not Disturb" signs, seemingly denying you the option of opting out of housekeeping. I personally use the "Do Not Disturb" option everywhere I stay because I do not like to return to my room and see that my belongings have been handled while I was away. I don't mean to knock the cleaning job; the housekeeping service was fine and the room was fairly close to as clean as it could reasonably appear to be, given the building. Overall - a good place for young folk on a budget who are looking for an indoor place to sleep, and not much else.

This place was that it was not your typical motel where the curtains matched the bedspreads. It was definitely different. Some stuff didn’t make a lot of sense to me based on other motels. The biggest one being there was a round table between the two beds, which I bumped into getting up for the bathroom in the middle of the night. The very kind hostess explained it was there so people didn’t have to eat in bed. There were a few other items that left me scratching my head, like the hanging candle holders without candles; the metal Kleenex dispenser without Kleenex (which was on the bedside table) and the towel rack in the bathroom with... you guessed it, no towels. They did have them, just not on that rack. The best part of this place was the little breakfast room on the second floor. It was, again, a mix match of decorations. But, you got to sit in this room and chat with a bunch of other skiers, and owners of the lodge were always there to greet you. Breakfast consisted of: cereal, bagels, waffles, hard boiled eggs, English muffins with juice and coffee. So yes, this place is decorated differently, but it’s still the best price in town. The slopes and good restaurants were minutes away.

The owner is the prize here - he is so earnest and eager to please, you can't help but like this guy. While a great value, a clean and pleasant facility, it's a bit outdated in overall feel. The bed was smaller than typical in US motels and wasn't comfortable for me. The furnishings are an eclectic mix, some from his homeland, which are worth noting. Breakfast was the basics (cereals, breads, coffee, juice).

Our host Riaz was very friendly and welcoming. He has a good soul. We even were allowed to check in a larger room than actually booked. The decor is a bit strange and it looked a bit dusty. But that is a matter of taste. The breakfast was adequate. The owner is so adorable, I wish him well.

Spent three nights here while attending a wedding in town. The hotel is clean but cramped. The decor is a bit eccentric but interesting. Staff was friendly. There were several of us staying there with a number of children, there was a large backyard for the kids to run around and burn off energy, the hotel also had a fire pit that we were able to use each night as a nice gathering point. There was a simple/typical breakfast served. each room had a window air conditioner that kept the small rooms comfortable. only about a mile to the downtown area made it convienient.

The place is a great value stay. The owner is a great guy and gave us advice on where to bike/hike. He went out and got us firewood to have a bonfire. I can't say enough good about him. The breakfast is simple, just cereal and bagels, but that was great for me. Our shower was awkward but if you're under 6ft you should be fine.

This motel is older it has a musty smell and is a bit run down. Bathroom does not have a sink. The sink is located next the the bed (little strange). It was also freezing! We stayed the first week of October it was 39 degrees outside and not heat inside.

The room was very small but clean. We didn't realize we would have to WALK up a flight of narrow stairs. We're senior citizens with leg problems. We should have gotten a downstairs room. Nice dining room and continental breakfast.

The name "vintage" suits it well. The motel is certainly not fancy, and the furniture is eclectic, but everything is extremely clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and will do everything they can to make their guests happy. We originally had a second floor room with one bed. When we saw it we realized it was way too cramped and we would not be comfortable there. For a very modest increase they immediately moved us to a very spacious first floor two-bed room, which made us very happy. The beds were very comfortable and we had a table and chairs, along with several other pieces of furniture and a nice bathroom.
