Husband and I decided to stay 3 nights for our Anniversary/Memorial Weekend 2018. Was not impressed. The cabin is very old and outdated. The 2 AC units were old and couldn't be turned down cause it would cause it to freeze (so the sign said) so we literally slept with no blankets. Speaking of I'm glad I brought my own linens. There was a sign in the cabin telling you to walk through the cabin and makes sure it's to your liking because there are bugs and that it was not bug proof? There were lots of spider webs and I found small black bugs in the bottom of a container I had on the floor when I got home. Back deck had lots of bugs/spider webs and all three chairs were broken and very dirty, Plus side to this cabin, it was on the water and the availability to have our boat close by. Did not however appreciate those visiting the Blue Gill parking right in front; we'll in front of all of the cabins, which meant if you moved your car, you lost your spot and good luck finding one. There should be dedicated parking for those who are paying to rent those cabins. As for their restaurant Blue Gill Grill, food was average. Oh and don't pay cash because you literally do not get your change back, only the bills. No one ever said why they were keeping it, just did.…

I had checked out the cabin 2 weeks before our trip. Not impressed, but too late to book anything else. These cabins could be nice with a little updating. Mattresses were the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE I have ever slept on. Filthy under the beds and the sofa sleeper would not open. The kitchen faucet came apart, water drained onto the nasty carpet. My husband put it back together temporarily but could tell it had been leaking for quite some time. There cleaning staff should be fired. Cob webs everywhere, dirty tub. The only thing nice about these cabins is there are right on the water. Very convenient. Also rented a party boat for one day. That was great except the trash can in the toilet area had not been cleaned or emptied. The curtain on the toilet are continually came down and actually flew off in the water once. Again this could be a nice place with a little cleaning and updating. Will not go back.…

Girls weekend with 6 girls. Walked into the cabin. Two queen sized beds right inside the door were made. We went further into the cabin. There was a small loft with 70's brown shag carpet and an unmade thin mattress on top with a large pee stain. We pulled out the pull out couch and found a 2-3 foot large blood stain. Called to have beds made and someone came and knocked on the door and ran. He left a garbage bag of linens outside the door. Needless to say, it was a very long night. On the plus side, we rented the party barge which was great. A day trip would be great. Do not stay the night.

This is a picture of a mattress in the cabin. There were multiple spider webs on the ceiling, dust build up on the fans from many years, stains on the carpet, dirty rag on the deck, linens from 1980s, ect. The filthiest place of business I have ever seen.

My husband and I stayed in a cabin on the water with view of water and a boat slip with the room just steps away. Our cabin had great air conditioning, lots of clean towels. I always check beds and sheets and the linens smelled fresh. We had a great experience. The staff is amazing!! Friendly with excellent service. The cabins are older but good amenities. The restaurant was terrific. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Always crowded and fun. Its a beautiful lake and we enjoyed it

We have been coming here as a family tradition for several years....but after last night we will not return! This is NOT a place for a family with kids! Last year we stayed here in the cabins and the people in the next cabin was smoking pot! We usually stay at tims ford marina, but they were booked, so we decided to give them another try...BAD MISTAKE! Last night we had a very drunk man barge into our room and fall face first onto the floor! Luckily the kids were up in the loft and out of the way! My sister had to physically pick him up and explain to him that he was in the wrong cabin! He didn't want to leave but she finally got him the door and lock it, that's when he tried to kick it in! We were scared to death! We tried to call 911 but we didn't have service...so we went to the marina to tell management about it, and that's when we found out that someone in mangement was at this party! The boy we talked to said "he was afraid this was gonna happen!" We went back to bed and tried to sleep. This morning we went back down to the marina and tell mangement about it and they were no help at all! When we said this drunk came into our room drunk and fell on the floor he asked "the room wasn't locked? What?! How is this any of our fault!? We said no, we have kids running in and out of the room and it was not locked. We seen that the guy was blowing us off so we asked to speak to the owner...he was actually there. Well we told him the same story but he also didn't seem to care much either ... All he did was appoligized. I asked him if he had security and he said yes, so is aid where was he last night? He said he was only one person and couldn't be everywhere. I told him he needed more than one guy to patrol. The mangement did come back to our table and offered to comp our breakfast but we told them they needed to comp our room! The blue gill grill has recently started serving alcohol and I think this is the cause of our problem...I also feel that someone who was related to the manager or owner was throwing this party. I am a business's owner and if this happened to one of my customers I would be bending over backwards to take care of this situation and it did not happen! Customer service here sucks! They have I do not care attitude here. We will not be returning and this is a sad ending to our once favorite family tradition.…

We had reservations May 2014. We reserved 2 cabins. The 1st cabin had what appeared to be feces on the side of the tub beside the toilet and something nasty and brown on the towels placed on the towel rack for our use. The 2nd cabin had a strong sewer odor as soon as you walked in the door. Like maybe the toilet had overflowed at some point. I did not feel any better after I addressed this with the general manager. The beds and sofa look like they have been in there 20 years. Of course this is my opinion, but I will not go back. The Restaurant is really cute and their staff was very friendly, however we were on our way in for dinner at about 7:40 on Saturday night and we were met by a staff member who said he hoped we were not planning to eat because they had a bad day and were closing early.…
