During booking, I left a note that I don't need housekeeping during my stay. I checked in on March 1st. I told front desk the next day, I do not want anyone in my room while I will be outside. The front desk employee was sleeping, she was rubbing her eyes and nodded but she did not take any notes of my request. When I came back, I realized housekeeper came. I called front desk and the lady was extremely rude and arrogant. She stated "Either you request it or not, our housekeepers will go inside your room. And that how we operate" . Instead of being considerate or acknowledging that they messed up, she gave me attitude. I do not like it when people touch my stuff. This should be titled as 1 star hotel instead 3 stars. Poor customer service, filthy carpet floors. And everything is extremely old and dirty.

The room is clean. The bed feels comfortable but the pillows are small and hard. ☹️ The pool area looks fun it is an indoor pool with slide. There is a pool table,?air hockey, darts, and other games. We may come back with our grandson next year. There is construction work going on the road in front of hotel which makes it hard to get into parking lot.

If you are comparing to the Hilton you’ll of course be disappointed but for the money, I was astonished by how clean and well-appointed the room was. All linens are fluffy and perfectly white. There’s a small fridge and microwave in addition to the coffee and toiletries offered and signs saying to ask for anything additional you may need. There’s a small workout room and restaurant attached. There’s a field in back to take dogs out and walk around on-leash with garbages provided for waste. If you’re looking for a clean, safe place to stay this will certainly exceed your expectations.

This hotel can be researched by anyone online. Thank you for taking that time. Besides that they have extremely bad manors to everyone else too. Just ugly to paying customers, doesn’t matter what color you are. All is true. It’s a mainstay on the local news still. It’s unbelievable but yeah true. And one of the many reasons why they are cheap. And unfortunately yes I stayed here.

Very antequated business practices. When you book online they send no confirmation whatsoever. You get no record of the transaction beyond a landing page. They also charge at the time of booking rather than when you stay. Please avoid working with this business.

The customer service was terrible. I called to reserve a room and when I got there I was told we had to put a 100 dollar deposit on the room after the fact that I was not told of this only when we arrived late in the evening. Not only that the management was very rude on the phone and simply stated they would not give our money back that we had out on the room . Even though we didn’t stay there! We will never ever bring our business to this place ever again. It’s a horrible place to go to

The front desk person was extremely rude. Ours is a long story but sufficet to say we were treated so badly we did not stay the two nights we had booked. We ended up driving 3 1/2 hours to stay with our daughter.

Thank you thank you again Grand Gateway!!! I just want to express again how much we enjoy staying here! Damion you are the man brother! Thank so much Damion again, katie you are a blessing to kathy and myself and thank you for allowing me to hold and feed Aleesa! Every thing worked perfect in iur room again! No dripping faucets or shower and toilet worked perfect, our room was very clean so thank you housekeeping, we spent 5 awesome days here, Paris thank you for the double shots and taking care if the cowboy, again i want to thank EVERYONE for making our trip amazing now I have to say to the negative review writers, if you communicate with respect to management and be nice then you will get an ear, if you choose to be nasty then ear plugs are put in and want you to leave, anything you are experiencing as a problem, any hotel will do thier very best to help, i work in the resort buisiness and I understand issues, they can be fixed regardless, but when you leave because you want to be pampered and givin free stuff the you are no better than your crappy review, these hard working people at the grand Gateway are so considerate and try thier very best, I just hope this cowboy isn’t there when you verbally attack one, anyway god bless you all again and we will return again soon and thank you again in person! Hugs from your Cowboy

We needed a hotel for one night as we have an early flight in the morning. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. We asked for a king bed and the room is decorated very attractively. It is spacious with two sitting chairs ,a desk ,chest for the Tv and a large clean bathroom. Very happy we booked here.

Our tv didn’t work and the front desk said to ask for compensation when we checked out and the guy wasn’t even friendly about any of it. Won’t stay there again. We’ve stayed before and they were very friendly and accommodating. But the guy working the front desk this morning left a very bad ought in my mind. There are tons of hotels in Rapid City and we will stay elsewhere from now on!!
