This hotel gives you a lot for your buck! Very reasonably priced 2 bedroom suite, including 2 TVs, kitchenette (just bring your own cookware and silverware), bathroom, ocean view balcony, indoor pool and outdoor pool. Very happy with our choice and we will definitely return!

I have stayed in many places on the beach and they are normally at least twice the price. South Seas has made me realize i was just throwing my money away to big name resorts when I can have the same experience for half the price. At South Seas ocean front rooms you get the same view, same beach, Very clean comfortable beds, friendly staff . Your kitchen doesn't come stocked with your typical basics, but a quick trip to the dollar store and you are good to go! Always surprises me when I read the complaints about that. Seriously folks, your food won't taste any different on a paper plate and it will.save you $200 a night. They do a great job here. I will be back! And use the money I saved on things that really matter 😉

We read the other reviews and was a little afraid but when we checked into 652 we were in Heaven! We had everything we needed and more. Thank you South Seas for an amazing family experience. It was clean, everything worked, and the beds were comfy. No bugs or creatures in our room 🙌🏾

This place was disgusting. There were roaches all over the counters in the kitchen and the front desk refused to send someone to spray or change our room. They gave us the can of bug spray and told us to do it ourselves or go out on the streets after driving 4 hours with my family. The shower curtain was filthy and had dirt handprints left all on the inside. When we pulled back the blanket of the queen bed there was a huge stain on the sheets clearly from a woman menstruating. I was actually afraid to bring my family's luggage in due to the bugs and barley got any sleep waiting to safely check out of this terrible place. Not only was this place nothing as advertised, but the staff was irate, rude, unhelpful, and attempted to take our key back out of my hands without permission. We had to threaten to get police involved. Just terrible experience. Not worth the cost. AT ALL. Very dissatisfied. Bad bad bad.

The old owners were wonderful. I can’t say a bad word about them. However the new owners took over today and without any kind of notice, knocked on everyone’s doors and said you pay 100 a night or leave. Mind you we’ve been paying 200 a week since we’ve been here for weekly rentals. These hotels aren’t worth 100 a night. Renovations are needed severely there are roaches and mold and it leaks in some parts. None of the pools have been operational for about two years. Do not stay at south seas!

This was a decent 3 star place to stay up until today. My wife and I have lived here for 2 years. The owner sold the place and assured us that nothing would change with the new owners. Today, the new owners started knocking on all the doors of the long-term renters demanding $100 a night for the rest of the week or leave the property. This is at a time when we are only paying $225 per week. That means our rent just went up approximately 350% with absolutely no notice whatsoever. If that's the way the new owners are going to introduce themselves to their long-term renters then I want no more part of it. Most of the pools haven't been used in the two years I've been there. Several of the rooms have been used for storage. The staff was made to clean those rooms out so that they can be rented by the greedy new owners. The roof leaks in the motel building. That's just a few things wrong with the place. The owners attitude towards their patrons means as much to me as the cleanliness of the place. The place is old and run down and needs updated but we've been treated pretty good for the past two years. I do have a problem with the new owners already and I haven't even formally met them. I have paid over $25,000 to live in a motel over the last two years and they're willing to just disregard that.

The staff seemed friendly enough, but it was lies and broken promises. We had 3 kids with no WiFi for 2 days, why have a kitchen with no pots and pans?, also what about a phone..? They claimed they would re situate the router so we would have WiFi but never did, claimed the phone lines were being reworked, but I see people 10 years ago also had no phones in the rooms.

My family has been coming here for a few years now. We first stayed here in 2017, during Memorial Day weekend when EVERY other hotel on the NC/SC coast was booked up, and thankfully they had room for us. They really saved us that weekend! This is an older hotel, but it's actually in pretty good condition. I can tell the owners are doing updates on the rooms. We always get the oceanfront suite. Our most recent stay was June 2020 and  our suite had newly updated flat screen TV's in the bedroom and living room area. The refrigerator and microwave in the kitchenette looked new, also. All the walls and doors looked like they have been recently painted and in good condition, and the shower had great water pressure. A/C units worked in both rooms and housekeeping checked on us everyday. If you are a simple person, you will enjoy this hotel. The front desk women are sweet and always remember us.
