We were in the 3rd floor apartment. Since we had a kitchen we did not get breakfast. Was told because we had a kitchen. Cute apartment. Extremely dirty. Understand the sand, but the floors were filthy and dirty. We spent an entire week in our shoes because we didn’t want dirty feet. The beds were Terrible. The master bedroom was a cot! The two twin beds were so loud anytime you moved one thought they might break. The shower bathroom door didn’t close. Once you were in you had to have someone come and kick the bottom of the shower door in order for it close properly or you would have water all over. The staff was friendly. Very disappointed in the accommodations all around. Close to the main town and walkable.

We had been to Block island for three years on the trot when our daughter was working there for a university course. A beautiful island many different ways of getting there car train or plane. It’s a blast from the past great beaches small roads plenty of places to get hidden away. The restaurants are a delight to cater for all tastes. Go there while it’s still perfect!

This house was directly on the water. It was so refreshing to have the sea breeze come into the bedroom and see a beautiful sunrise each morning. The beach water was nice and clean. The couple running the bed and breakfast were very friendly and kept everything clean. The breakfasts were fresh, homemade and delicious. There was wine and a delicious snack at 5:00 pm. It was a nice getaway for a few days!

My husband & I Stayed at the Bellevue House in the Northwest room. The grounds are lovely and the homemade breakfast was delicious. However, I feel I must comment on the what was missed. The reservations did not note the bed size and I should not have assumed the standard size would be a queen. The bed is a full size and with 2 normal adults our feet were hanging off the sides. This aspect wouldn't have been so tough to handle if the sink hole in the bed wasn't so large and made for a horrible nights sleep. Not to mention the bed sheets being full of sand. At $300/ night, a newer, larger bed can be afforded and is expected especially with the room size allowing for it. I feel others will want an honest evaluation as I would. I was impressed with the homemade breakfast, but the sink hole was the biggest disappointment.

Never had an experience of complete self-service at a b & b. Including a self-service breakfast with no hot food. No warm welcoming greeting by innkeepers, no " hope you enjoyed your stay, please come again". An arriving couple asked me "where do you check in?" There is no check in. Just business cards on a table implying "call us if you need anything". Never saw the innkeepers once during our two nite stay. Not sure if they were even on the island. They have your credit card number & that's all they need. Very impersonal customer service that I was not expecting from a b &b. Even the bottled water wasn't free. Only positive thing was the location. Will not recommend to friends or family.
