We stayed in one of the lodges Aug 2021. The hotel and facilities still remain close because of Covid! Our lodge had so many issues, I certainly would never stay here again. The seal around the oven had fell off making the oven nearly impossible to use, the extractor fan was thick with brown grease, the beds are the most uncomfortable things I have ever had to sleep on, caused lots of back pain and sleepless nights. The curtain rail fell down in the bathroom several times, the fixings ere mouldy in the bath and the shower pole all rusty. Windows were very hard to open and close. The door handle to upstairs room kept failing so you could not get out! there were dirty ear buds behind the beds and dirty socks behind the sofa. The dust under the beds was thick it certainly had not seen a hoover in years. The worst place I have ever stayed was so pleased to come home.…

After booking and confirming, leaving our bank details with them in April for our summer holiday with our 3 children. The hotel told us we didn’t have a booking, and that we hadn’t confirmed, even though we have evidence of this. Instead they decided to take advantage of the current climate by reselling our booking for an overpriced fee, I do understand how hard hit the travel industry has been but this is so disappointing, 3 children told their holiday they have been looking forward to has been cancelled due to the owners of this hotel after making a quick easy few quid. I hope they are happy, we have all the evidence of the booking no matter what is said, and they had our banking details to take any deposits or even full payment whenever suited. Regards

I stayed here for about a week with my hiking group from the US. We all thought the food was absolutely delicious ... all those breakfast choices and especially the wonderful fish dinners. The wait staff were friendly, fast, and efficient. My room was charming, clean, and comfortable-- nothing cookie cutter about this lovely inn. The proprietor always had a smile on his face and a kind word. He was eager to accommodate a special request for a change in seating arrangements in the dining room for our group. In the evenings he staffed the bar and when I ordered an American mixed drink he'd not yet heard of he kindly researched it and whipped one up for me in a jiffy. The grounds are lovely with a heated outdoor pool. The Lanteglos is a short walk to the church where the marriage of Louisa and Doc Martin (PBS TV show of the same name) was filmed, which was fun to see. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.…

for 3 nights of accommodation we paid £ 361 and look at the conditions, not to mention the menu of the very poor restaurant and the horrible food. Unfortunately the staff working here are extraordinary people

We stayed at the self catering lodge for 4 nights. The lodge is at a excellent location , with Port Isaac and Tintagel within 30 min away . The lodge has lots of green area around for the kids to play outside . But the only problem was the lodge needs a very good deep clean . We did not feel clean while inside the lodge and made sure we wore our slippers all the time . Even after a bath we didn’t feel any better. We could not see any dirt visible but behind the sofa / between the cushions ( you know where toddlers tend to hind ) it was very dusty . Cobwebs on the window and the carpet was very gritty . The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was very powerful .

Had a very quiet and peaceful weekend! The food here was very lovely and everyone very welcoming! Had a fantastic garden with a pool, was a 15/20 drive to beaches and restaurants which was very handy. Would highly recommend anyone looking to have a peaceful break away.

Really quiet and secluded, lovely garden. Didn’t use the pool, but looked really inviting. Lots of things to do, tennis, badminton, squash. Decor is a bit dated, but still a great amount of space inside. Room slightly on the small side, but perfect for what we needed it for. Didn’t have dinner, but the breakfast was great. Really lovely, attentive owners. Had a good chat with th gentleman (don’t know his name). Even managed to lose very badly at snooker.

Spent 3 nights in Lanteglos in a superior twin bedroom. Spotlessly clean with beautiful bathroom. Secluded location with lovely trees and shrubs. Manicured lawns with deckchairs leading down to the pool. Excellent breakfasts and dinners with personalised service from the hosts and their staff. Perfect starting point for both the Cornish coast and the moors.

During our Road Scholar hike of the Cornwall Coast we were lodged at the Lanteglos Hotel. It’s been a family owned and operated business for the last 38 years. Roger and his wife, Stephanie were amazing hosts. The food was fantastic and the service five star. My friend and I were in Cottage 1 and after a few adjustments, became very comfortable with our little suite. Roger and Stephanie also helped us host the farewell “garden party” for our entire group. It was delightful and I’d highly recommend their lovely inn.
