Detailed Reviews
These Econo Lodges can be all over the map. On this trip to Portland Oregon, we had one that was top notch. They got everything right!
Big clean room, very comfortable and the check-in process went smoothly and the staff was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and jacuzzi, and we were pleased that our room had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and there were no problems with the TV or bathroom. The sofa and table in our room were nice additions to make the place feel like a little home.
The location was easy to find. It's close to a variety of restaurants and shopping options. We wanted to try a McMinemens and found one only 2 miles away from the hotel, in historic Oregon City. Nice little town to visit if you arewanting more of a history on Oregon, a must in my book.
The rooms itself were decent-not fancy-but more than comfortable.
Definitely an excellent choice in town.

Room Tip:Â Book early since this hotel is popular on weekends! It was sold out the 4 days we were in town.

We were visiting friends in Oregon City this month and we got this room through Priceline. Although the motel is in Milwaukie, it was only a five minute drive down highway 99 through Gladstone and into Oregon City. I was a little nervous because I saw that this hotel does have smoking rooms, but I called the proprietor and he assured me I would get a non-smoking room. We checked in early afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by our room. It was very spacious. There was a sitting area and kitchenette separated from the main room by a half wall. I always think having two sinks is a luxury. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a curved shower-curtain and good water-pressure. The wifi was strong. I enjoyed my bagel and muffin at the complimentary breakfast. Not a lot to choose from but what was there was fine. Next time we are in the Oregon City/Gladstone/Milwaukie area, I would stay here again.

This is one of the best of all the Econo Lodge hotels. We spent 2 seperate nights there in the past few days. Front desk was very nice and responsible, I remember his name, Natt. The room was clean and quiet. It's definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

We stayed here travelling through and it's probably one of the cleanest motels we've stayed in. They have a little swimming pool which again is spotlessly clean. The one downside was breakfast. While the food was ok the cutlery was plastic and so flimsy you couldn't spread the cold butter!! Recommend for a sleepover.

We needed a room for guests for two nights near Sellwood in SE Portland. Based on online comments, we chose this motel because by the time you add parking, the other choices were expensive or rated very poorly. The Econo Lodge is not fancy but the room was clean and spacious. It is an older motel run by an older East Indian (?) couple. The nice thing was that it had a sitting area with a sink and microwave when you first enter the room. There was a half divider to separate the sitting area from the two beds. The fridge was was along the wall between the TV. Our guests said they would stay there again.

I frequently visit my mom in Milwaukie and I will definitely start using this place. We had a large room with a king bed and a separate area with a kitchen counter and table for two. The mini fridge and microwave are a great bonus although there are good restaurants and fast food very close. The bed was on the firm side but ok. This is a budget option, such as thin towels, but a great value for the price. The property is well-maintained and spotless. The indoor pool and spa have a lot of noise from the street but were otherwise very pleasant.

Thank you Econo Lodge Milwaukie/Oregon City for a great stay. Your staff is welcoming and your manager Kash went out of his way to make us feel at home. Your hotel is well-kept in all ways and is a perfect 10 in my book! The hotel is not large and is very simple but the large clean rooms & price point make this hotel a sure winner. Great stay! Mike Harris (Kansas City MO) Bob's Red Mill is only 3 miles and is a must when visiting the area!

OK, this is just an Econo Lodge. The breakfast is small, but nice facility. But oh, my, the rooms are so sparkly clean, the owner is also the clerk and a busy man; he sells the detergent for the washing machine. When I went to find him he was doing the ironing! Oh, right, did I mention that there is a washer and dryer on premises?? For guests. It does take quarters but owner has change ready.
And the rooms are like suites, bedroom and "living room".. refrigerator and sink and microwave.

Stayed at Econo Lodge Southeast again, and were pleased with our room. Still a good value for the price and clean enough. Not too much noise, considering the busy traffic out front and fully booked motel status.
This time we walked over to Hale's Restaurant just across the side street for breakfast, and it was very good and reasonably priced. There is food available across the highway, too.
This Econo Lodge location works out well for a home base to places like Bob's Red Mill (for whole-grain goodies) and Dave's Killer Bread. Second Hand stores, especially the "Red, White and Blue" are close by. Oregon City's historic sites and Museum are just down 99E.
Yes, we're happy we returned!

Just started staying here at the Econo Lodge Southeast, and have found this hotel to be affordable with always a good nights sleep. I usually stay in Clackamas but never get a good nights sleep with all the freeway noise. This hotel is a hidden gem! Only 2 miles from Clackamas & a short drive to Downtown Portland Oregon, it's my hotel of choice from now on in Portland Oregon. The rooms are extra large and the staff is always very friendly. My company always books for me in advance and gets a special rate on their website, almost 20 percent off! Now that's a good deal I would say. Overall it's a great budget hotel for a smart traveler...
