My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We had an easy check-in and were welcomed as Hilton Honors members. Room was clean. A very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. Housekeeping was fine. A very comfortable room. The only problem we had was the toilet did not flush properly. Shower was very good. We will return when in the area.

My family and I stayed at the Hampton inn for one day/night in January as opposed to staying at Kalahari resort to save money . Upon arriving, I was greeted and quickly checked in for an early check. The hotel was clean, rooms are a decent size and the breakfast was good. I definitely will stay here again in the future.

The hotel was overall clean and some of it looked a little newer. Our room was pretty nice, but it had a faint smell of cigarettes but went away after you were in there for a little while. They still are not serving hot breakfast, which seems like just a way to cheap out... and the only other problem was we tried to spend some time in the hot tub but it wasn't hot at all. It was seriously the same temperature as the pool and when we asked the lady at the front desk she said it was a WHIRLPOOL not a hot tub. Personally I didn't know there was a difference, sounds like a cheap excuse to not fix the hot tub if you ask me.

Needed a two night stay a few weekends ago and booked a standard room through the Hilton website. I was able to choose my room in the app which was great; however, that’s the only great thing about this hotel.
Entering the room takes jiggling the door handle a few times to get the door to actually open. Upon entering the room for the first time, it had a heavy odor of what reminded me of a cat litter box. Since it was late and the hotel was full, I didn’t bother trying to switch rooms. Instead cranked up the AC to full speed and eventually the smell was gone. The room “appeared” clean; however, the sheets were dirty. There was black hair under the first sheet. Also noticed the bed skirt was partially undone and when I saw a large gap between the mattress and the headboard, I noticed clumps of hair, a dead bug, and pieces of candy. So much for that Hilton Clean sticker on the door. It means nothing when housekeeping is too lazy to change the sheets between stays. In the closet, half the hangers were broken. In the bathroom, there was mold on the ceiling, the shower curtain was completely torn up on the top, and the shower head was completely covered in calcium buildup which would drip off as the water ran. The water also gets cold after being in the shower more than 5 minutes.
Breakfast is still boxed due to COVID. Not a problem, but be prepared to eat a stale bagel. Employees did not wear masks indoors, even though signage stated they would be.
There is an indoor pool with a hot tub. The hot tub was closed both days of my stay and the hotel blocked the hot tub with pieces of paper taped to chairs saying it was out of order. People were still using it so who knows…
Asked for a late check out (1pm) and the request was denied. I asked a day prior to allow for the hotel to have enough time to plan their housekeeping boards. Checkout was on a Monday morning.
The hotel wanted to charge over $350/night. Thankfully I had points to use, but for 100,000 points or $685, I’d expect much better. For that money, you can go stay at the brand new Holiday Inn closer to Cedar Point. Read the reviews, don’t stay here.
And don’t expect help from management. They were not existent and the front desk doesn’t care about making your stay better. Also sent an email which was acknowledged as being sent to the hotel. I was advised someone would reach out within 3 days. It’s now three weeks since the stay and have gotten nowhere.

Room needed new curtains filthy along with the bathroom shower was dirty. Beds were very old ac wasn’t working and it was filled with dust in the vents. They allowed people to use 6 rooms to party in and keep the guest up all night. Would never recommend this to anyone.

We have travelled extensively and dropped our bags here on a weekday night. Walking into the lobby, the furniture was beat up. After staying at an immaculate Hilton property earlier in the week that had breakfast in Ann Arbor, we were informed despite a complete lifting of Covid restrictions by the State of Ohio there would be no consumable breakfast — just a bag. Walked down the hall, carpets were filthy with litter on them. Walked in room, air conditioner rattled. Went to window, it was splattered with bird poop. This place is completely disgusting. Drive down the road and find another Hampton. In a post pandemic world, I do not know how any hotel operator could be so negligent and ignorant when properties are starving for business and hoping to rebuild their customer base. This property might be near Cedar Point but navigate in another direction and redirect your money elsewhere. Forget it.

Worst ever. I travel often for business and have stayed here years ago. It really went down hill. I am a Diamond member of Hilton, and this hotel makes me want to switch to Marriott properties - just saying. Room very outdated and hot and humid. Question if I saw a dead bug on sheet in the morning- I looked before and didn’t see. None the less, went home and put our clothes thru the hot wash cycle and left our bag outside in fear of bugs. Gross. First floor room. Breakfast horrible - bad food, dirty dining tables, couldn’t get OJ machine to work. Just not good.

Nice hotel with a good price and easy highway access. Its in an attraction area with many other hotels up the road towards the lake so prices seemed high all over. Especially gas. Nice hotel and staff though. We would return again if in the area.

I was impressed with the size of the pool and the size and cleanliness of the hot tub.. Very nice Exercise room. This hotel is very spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good where the Dining room attendant offered bottled water or other food items.

Upon check-in we were greeted by staff who informed us that our pet fee of $50.00 (which was confirmed and printed on our reservation) was now $75.00. After a wait, the manager agreed to honor the quoted price. The hotel is outdated and has a horrible odor. It is dirty and prompted us to get up at the crack of dawn and get out of dodge. Terrible experience and I would NEVER try this Hampton Inn again. Shame on Hilton for not assuring that this location is not up to any type of standard. It was an absolute waste of $200 plus.
