The property was exactly as advertised. The following features in the accommodation were important to us:
LOCATION: Bus stop literally two minutes away. I had my own vehicle, and did not need public transportation, but there was also a tram station within walking distance as well. Close to motorway. 10 minutes drive from Trafford Centre for shopping, post office etc., and ASDA supermarket.
ONSITE PARKING: Available at an extra fee. Very convenient and I felt safe. Gates that could lock to secure vehicle on premises.
Wi-Fi - Excellent signal strength. Dedicated router to apartment.
COOKING - Microwave, Cooker, Oven, Kettle, Toaster. Dishes, Pots, Pans and Cutlery. Even paper towels, and dishwashing detergent. Everything worked and if the instructions weren't clear the property managers were really helpful, and just a phone call away, at any time.
REFRIGERATION - Small fridge but there was a freezer within it as well, and it was just enough for our one week stay. It was in perfect working condition.
REFRESHMENTS: Tea and coffee provided. Individually wrapped packaging. Very sanitary.
WASHER/DRYER: One machine for both washing and drying. Worked well for very small loads of clothing. No built in radiators for drying assistance, and windows sealed shut, however, my laundry load was not huge, so this sufficed. There were portable heaters and fans, as well. If heavier wash loads or thicker garments needed laundering, I presume the property managers would have been happy to provide a clothes horse to assist in drying, as they were extremely helpful, and very accommodating. Iron and ironing board in good working condition as well. Vacuum cleaner provided, but did not use.
BATHROOM: Shower and bath with screen door. Shower water pressure good, and water heater working. Shower gel, hand wash and body lotion provided. Clean bath. Clean towels provided. Towels changed once during 1 week stay, however, if needed, property managers were just a phone call away. Laundry hamper in bathroom for dirty clothes, very handy.
LIVING AREA: Large flat screen TV with working remote control and FREEVIEW channels. DVD player but did not use. Two seater sofa, suffice for just the two of us. Dining table very small but enough for two people. Roomy floor space, due to little but sufficient furniture. Aesthetically pleasing decoration. Some wall paintings and a textured feature wall. Large windows let in a lot of light for brighter living space, or blinds could be shut for a more private setting, and dimmer lights.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL: Garbage bins provided in apartment in kitchen and bathroom. Garbage disposal shoot on 3rd floor, a very short walk away from apartment, near third floor lifts. Very convenient for disposal. Recycling bins near car park, easy access on the way out.
SECURITY: Key fobs required for access into the building, and intercom for anyone coming to the apartment, fast food delivery drivers etc. Convenient and secure.
SLEEP: No noise whatsoever from surrounding occupants nor traffic. Peaceful nights' sleep. Very comfy bed.

Our house was flooded so we were rehoused at the Rotana Apartments whilst repair works were undertaken. The apartment block is close to Salford Quays, MediaCity, Manchester United Football stadium and White City. I was able to take long walks in every direction. Though used to a three bedroom town house, our one bedroom apartment was laid out just right. We have a serviced apartment which means it was cleaned every week - the cleaning service was a bit wishy washy at times. My husband's bike was stolen within days of moving in there, we were later made to understand that the garage under the building is a bike theft hotspot. The staff were quite nice though and gave my husband £50 towards a new bike. On the whole, a pleasant experience. I will recommend these apartments to anyone on a short break to Manchester.

I was working in Salford Quays on a short term contract (8 weeks), Rotana apartments were great and much nicer than staying at a hotel (it was a home from home).
The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped (inc washer/dryer, microwave, TV with Freeview and Wi-fi), with secure on-site parking facilities. Well located, in close proximity to the Quays and tram stop (tram is direct into City centre and Media City).
Service was fantastic, the apartment was cleaned weekly, with fresh bed linen and towels provided. It is also close to local shopping areas (bars and restaurants are also within walking distance) and has good public transport links.
Whenever I needed anything the Rotana team were on hand to help and were always very helpful! (and knowledgeable of local area) - I would definitely stay again!

Great apartment just a few minutes walk from the Lowry and media city. Great views over the quays. Easy metro link to the city centre. Helpfull staff and clean smart rooms. Could do with a few more plates etc in the kitchen but otherwise very well set up and equipped.

Really close to Salford Quays and Old Trafford. Good for self-catering. Boutique style. Clean and good value compared to other hotels in the area. Generally quiet and the rules are very strict about noisy guests - you can be turfed out, which suits me fine. Who wants a party in the apartment next door? Also very strict on non-smoking with a hefty surcharge if you break that rule - no big deal if you are a non-smoker, though.

This is a great value option for weekday stays. We had a spacious, wonderfully clean and well equipped one bedroom apartment. The iron was a joy to behold! Little details had been thought of such as dishwasher tablets. Only thing missing was a tea towel.

The customer service is exceptional. From the initial enquiry, arranging an early check, being met and shown to the apartment, to the check out procedure, everything was smooth and simple. They kindly agreed to supply another key to us as my husband and I work different shift patterns.

Could not fault this and would stay again and again.

I have stayed in a number of hotels and apartments and this is one of the best. Had a 2 bedroom apartment for reasonable price. Very good condition and with nice touches, towels, soaps, bed linen all good quality.

There is no reception so when you arrive you call and someone meets you to show you where to park. Parking is essential and at £12 for the night is not too bad. Its a little more hassle to get to your 'room' or apartment than an hotel, but once inside it is much nicer. Being able to cook for yourself means saving money on eating out alone. Maybe a few additional bits in the kitchen would help, eg oven glove, dishwasher tablets, T towels and maybe some basics for cooking eg salt and pepper, oil.

However overall would thoroughly recommend!
