Very clean room, well aired, welcoming. All facilities worked well, especially the very quiet and efficient aircon and the TV. The bed was comfortable, good lighting, bathroom clean and the shower was strong and hot and worked exceptionally well. The manager was friendly and helpful.

I attended a first aid course hosted at the mb motor lodge today, older staff member was so rude when I entered the reception, proceeded to tell me I was late and wouldn't be able to attend the course. The chairs are ancient and so uncomfortable, I would have preferred to sit on the floor. A co worker told me the same the older woman was also rude to her when she entered. No good morning, no smile, instead made to feel unwelcome. I will be telling everyone, stay clear.

The location was convenient - and on the same side of the river as the RSL (open Thurs and Fri night only which suited us for dinner) On entry I was shocked at how small the room was - barely enough space to walk between a small table and the end of the bed, the side tables were touching the walls either side of the bed. It was comfortable if old. But there was no room to move in the room at all On check in we met a grumpy man - I presume the owner - who was quite abrupt although not rude. We were 2 minutes late getting out of the room and he knocked on the door telling us check out was 10am. I was quite glad to get out of there.

My husband and I are very blessed to be able to travel around Australia in our caravan - we are a professional couple - my husband works from home as a aviation safety analyst and I am a Veterinary Nurse and locum at clinics. I explained all this to indicate we are not grumpy old travellers. In fact, the vast majority of our stays have been delightful. On Saturday 7/01/23, after a really long and steaming hot journey, we decided to rather stay overnight at a motel instead of setting up at a caravan park. I phoned the Murray Bridge Motor Inn to enquire if any of their accomodation allowed pets, (two mini foxies) in a friendly manner. The reply “No!” ….. and the phone was put down. How astonishing. For someone in the service industry to lack even the most basic good manners - I phoned back just to make sure the line didn’t cut out ….. nope, his brusque and rude reply was the same. That annoyed me and I replied that his establishments profile on TripAdvisor wouldn’t look too flash if that’s how he treated clients. I put it behind me and phoned other motels, but then got a text! “Grow up!” Ha ha. That did make me laugh. To be fair, it cannot be easy to deal with the public for a living, but his passive aggressive attitude is inexcusable. But it all became clear and understandable a little later in the evening when we popped into town for dinner and we drove past this establishment - I don’t want to be cruel, but let’s just say that shabby and rundown description is being kind and we dodged a bullet.

Look, it’s dated, and the room was small, but the bed was Queen size, the shower hot, it was clean, the fridge was in the wardrobe, but that worked. we would stay again, it was quiet, no food available though, but it’s away from town and traffic.

Very disappointed with this motel. Standard room was not up to the photographs shiwn on booking site. No refrigerator. Miniscule tv. Dark and extemely small room. Very old dark bathroom. If you think about motels in the 50's this is it. Returned the key to the Manager, forfeited our money and went elsewhere. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Very basic and old. It is clean but could do with a stack of work just to lift it a bit. It would also help if they turned on some exterior lights at night. Being set back from the road, it is very difficult to see in the dark! The host could also learn some customer manners.

My partner and myself had no water at home so we booked a room here for 2 nights! The staff let us check in early and were fantastic! Rooms were neat and tidy and quite modern. We were very happy with our stay. Price was good. Would stay again. I would recommend to others. 5 stars worth for the simplicity of check in

We arrived in Murray Bridge for a National Car event after booking months in advance. We had a fantastic week, but the Murray Bridge Motor Inn sadly was the biggest dissapointment on our entire trip. From the moment we arrived the service at the front desk was terrible. The man who runs this establishment should be ashamed of himself. Everything was too difficult. Our requests were to ask for towels daily and get some milk on arrival. We were constantly out of hot water of a night time (even though showering of a morning) the response from the owner was we had too long of showers of a morning, they were new hot water cylinders and it’s our fault for having too long of showers. The service is unprofessional, un-inviting and simply unacceptable. We spent limited time at the motel and the cleaners were helpful. On arrival we had to pay in full as the owner doesn’t have the time to chase us for money and he is “one man band” Totally unacceptable service. The rooms are of average sign with comfortable and warm beds. Great water pressure in the showers as well when working. One day of our trip it was 31deg and we left our air con on for our return. When arriving back at our room it was turned off. The owner approached us rudely asking why we would leave air con on and continually argued and muttered things under his breathe to us. When arriving back at 8-9 o’clock at night the motor inn would be continually in darkness with no signage or external lights on. Given some warm nights and proximity to the river there were constantly insect and mosquitos in the room, perhaps a bug zapper out the front of the rooms could help. I’d love to be able to recommend the motor inn but given everything in Murray bridge was at capacity for this is week to have approx half of the rooms occupied perhaps is a sign.

This is not the Hyatt, Raddison, Ritz or Four Seasons. This Motel is early 1970's solid brick build quality. No "next room" noise. The Motel is well maintained and noticeably clean. Reverse cycle quiet Aircon. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. If you are after the basics for a good night's sleep I highly recommend this Motel. It's back off the road and not on a major thoroughfare through town.
