The venue advertise as a romantic beach front getaway. But cabins very small and basic 2-3 star not even a chair in the room and no view. Solid louvre in cabin when open people walking past look in as well as basic low budget decking and furniture

This was an amazingly unique experience. Was quite surreal to think that the rooms are nestled in the middle of the Daintree forest. Amazing plants & wildlife to see right outside of room. The staff were fantastic, especially the bar & restaurant staff who made an enjoyable environment at the bar area, some good laughs with the customers. Good food at the restaurant and prices were very reasonable. Amazing beach paradise just a few steps, onto a private beach area, lots of walks and heaps of things to see. Lots of day walks in easy reach, the reception staff very helpful to provide advice & directions. We loved being offline for a few days, felt like absolute paradise, was hard to leave and go back to reality.

Being part of the rainforest and right next to the beach was so special. Pair this with the gorgeous rooms set surrounded by the forest really made the experience something very special. Then let's talk about the food created by Chef Clem, it truly was exquisite, we went back and it did not disappoint. The service by all of the wait staff was so lovely, they spent time to chat and made the whole experience wonderful. We will most definitely be back. Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights at Cape Trib Beach House and it was a fantastic experience. The resort is situated slightly away from the shops at Cape Tribulation ( 3 minute drive) , within the rainforest and on the beach. The cabins are self contained, and comfortable. And the entire place is peaceful and quiet- except for some bird calls and the sound of the ocean. The beach is a wide and long expanse of white sand at low tide, along which you are able to walk to Kulki Lookout ( about 1 km down the beach). Otherwise, it is a quiet and relaxing place to sit in the shade under the trees on chairs provided and just watch the day go by. It's not a beach you are able to swim at- like most of the beaches in far north Queensland , there are salt water crocodiles to be aware of. The Tides Bar and Restaurant provides good quality food and reasonably priced drinks- an easy place to get a cold beer or glass of wine to enjoy on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and we a very relaxing and restful time there. Highly recommended

Great beachfront locality nestled in tranquil beautiful rainforest. This accommodation complex boxes well above it’s weight - understated charm, recently renovated rooms, staff falling over themselves to assist. We are a couple but loved the family vibe - no party animals raging till early hours in the morning Stayed 4 night so tried 3 other restaurants. None as good as Tides Restaurant which has a simple local menu using locale products cooked extremely well at a very reasonable price. All this on a deserted beach!

Lovely two night stay. Stayed here many years ago and was happy to see it has kept it's standard up. Bit disappointed they have closed the camp kitchen but meals in the restaurant were good - just a bit limited menu. Our Ribbon cottage was very comfortable with great bedding and still has a fridge. Too cool to swim but the pool area is still very inviting. And the best bit - it's location. So quiet, surrounded by, and in, pristine rainforest and right on the beach - and no phone or TV reception!

Travelled with a mate who has a prosthetic leg and I was very disappointed with the accessibility of this resort. I asked at check on about accessibility and was told we are not allowed to drive to our room to drop off our friend - even though the path was clearly driveable - and staff were seen driving both to the rooms and to the restaurant. The path to the room was not too bad and we made it there but there was a steep decline down to the restaurant. We asked at the restaurant if it was possible for our friend to get driven to dinner - either by us in our car or by them in their car or by the golf carts staff were driving around but they were unable or unwilling to help. The bar area looked very nice and the beach and location were lovely - if you have both legs and don’t care about customer service. We got pizza from the woodfired place down the road (the sandbar) and ate breakfast at turtle rock cafe. Both of which are very acessible. Beautiful place - but sadly can’t recommend it. Do better.

They are ready for big bus loads of tourists so the food comes quickly. They make minor modifications with no hassle and their barramundi tacos are divine. The steak in the steak sandwich actually was also a decent cut of tasty steak. The scenery is the main selling point and of course the beach behind it

This is such a wonderful little place at the end of the road, nice cabins and right on undeveloped national park beach. But the open air restaurant is the only place to eat for miles and one night in a total downpour they turned me away because I didn’t have a reservation. I told them I was a guest, and didn’t know reservations were possible much less necessary. But the cashier said she’d take my order but couldn’t sit me. All picnic tables, full of loud families of four or five taking up tables of 8. Seem to be from the trailer park down the road. They knew anbout reservations. Only place for singles was a counter in the rain. So no dinner that night.Management should reserve some spots for single travelers or have european like share tables.

Staff were very friendly and our hut was nicely placed just off the beach. But. Our hut was tiny we are in a rainforest and not even an umbrella, the toilet was noisy the shower leaked. The place needs som tlc. And more attention to detail even having to walk our bags to our hut when they have buggies was slack
