During a once in a lifetime storm that hit Highland Falls in Aug we had 2 rooms booked the night before R-Day at USMAPS. Unable to get to the town due to the flooding it took numerous phone calls with the hotel to get them to agree on a 2 room credit. This was not an easy task, despite the town being flooded and all roads blocked they said sorry we are open and it’s our policy when you cancel day of not to reimburse. So we agreed to take the two room credit. Our first credit was able to be used. It took two phone calls to arrange but nevertheless they agreed to honor one credit. When I attempted to use the next credit they said it was lost. All room credits need to be used in same year (2023). So they received $180 we couldn’t use originally because a flooding disaster and provided no service in return. This is a case of a business who knows despite what they do it won’t matter because of the proximity to a University/tourist attraction like West Point. They don’t care about customer service, or updating the hotel etc, they will get the tourists and the families who visit students money regardless. Throughout my communication they have been rude and spoke with a tone that was not professional. Again they can do this because they know all rooms will continue to be booked. So I know this review won’t have an impact on the hotel but I firmly believe you get what you give. Sooner or later the hotel management will get a return on all the negativity they have given.

Bottom line: This motel was convenient, comfortable, and affordable. Do not stay at this motel with the expectation that you might have for a large hotel chain. That being said, my experience here was a good one. The room was comfortable. I stayed in a room with two queen sized beds. The bed linens were clean and there were four pillows for each bed. The room contained a small desk, a bureau, a nightstand, a small refrigerator, and an armchair. The bathroom was divided into two distinct sections. The toilet and shower were enclosed for privacy while the sink was located in an open are at one end of the room. The bathroom was recently renovated, and the towels were clean and plentiful. Soap and shampoo were provided. The room included a decent-sized tv with a limited number of channels. Wi-Fi was also provided. The Wi-Fi was rather weak throughout the majority of the room. These were the biggest disappointments from my stay, but since my time in the room was limited to mostly sleeping, I am not really complaining. The motel is convenient to the town of Highland Falls and to the United States Military Academy at West Point. A small continental breakfast was offered, but I did not take advantage of it. There is also a centrally located room that contains an icemaker and a microwave. I will definitely consider staying here in the future. It was money well spent!

This is a comfortable motel with rather large rooms. Our room had two queen beds and a sink counter in the room with a separate shower and toilet. It got down to 50 degrees during the night and I did not detect any heat had been turned on although the room stayed at 69 degrees. The shower was excellent and the bed comfortable - we only used one bed. The big failing WiFi which was incredibly slow and then quit altogether around 10 PM. It did not resume in the AM. They offer a continental breakfast in the office consisting of juice, coffee, pastry and yogurt. The coffee was good but certainly the atmosphere was not - there really should be a breakfast nook. I would not stay here again

We stayed at the West Point Motel for the recent Miami Ohio game day weekend and to visit family at West Point. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. The motel is clean, convenient, reasonably priced and the staff are always very helpful. We look forward to our next visit to West Point and will be staying in our favorite motel.

Stayed at The West Point Motel Friday evening for just one night. We arrived late but the staff arranged for a key to be left for us The room was spotless and recently totally renovated. The beds were superior quality and linens all first class. The next morning the staff was helpful and the continental breakfast perfect Would highly recommend staying there when visiting the area.

Stayed at the West Point Motel for a wedding at Thayer Hotel in West Pont. Might be 1 mile straight drive to Thayer which is just after the a West Point gate. My room was #231 behind the satirs in 2nd building. Did not wait around till 7AM for grab abd go breakfast. Room was larger than most hotel rooms - 2 queen beds (very comfortable),adjustable air conditioning unit, desk with chair (code for wifi), phone in room, small refrigerator, coffee maker, sitting chair, large screen TV, nice xize sink and make-up area. Has iron and board as well as hair dryer. Would stay again.-

Check in was simple and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was wearing a mask and I felt very safe. The room was spotless and clean. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. There was great internet connection, coffee and breakfast were delicious and it was super close to the state park and Storm King Art Center which is divine. Highly recommend!

Registered and went to room. Greeted by a blast of exceedingly warm air. Thermostat set to 70; thermometer said 70. We maintain our home temp. @ 70 and we know that the room temp. was likely 80 or more. Set the thermostat to 60 and left for the evening. Returned to room about five hours later. Room still excessively warm; thermometer still read 70. Opened door to outside - outside temp., maybe 50. Little help. Learned that the room is heated by hot water, baseboard with no way to manually control. Set the thermostat to less than 60 and turned on the A/C to high before going to bed. Awoke in a sweat nevertheless. The room had a king bed and sufficient room for two armchairs. There was only one which did not impact us but is not sufficient for couples who, say, wanted to sit and talk over a drink or watch TV together. In either situation, one person would be confined to the bed.

Nice privately owned motel ideally located in the picturesque Hudson Valley West Point military academy area. Great place to stay for West Point sports events. Comfortable very clean individual motel rooms with deck chairs to sit outside if the weather is nice. Checks all the boxes, such as continental breakfast and coffee available in the front office/lobby. There is apparently no elevator on this two level motel property but first floor rooms are accessible via a ramp. They conveniently fulfilled my request for a lower room so call ahead if you require such adjustments for you room stay. We definitely look forward to booking here again!
