Our room had a balcony with a view of the park and the lake. We had a very comfortable bed and the room was very cozy. Gas fireplace and comfy chairs and couch. We knew the main road was between our hotel and the lake so expected to hear traffic on the balcony and were fine with it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated.

My wife and I recently had the misfortune of trying to check into this hotel. After driving five hours from northern Maine and then fighting bumper-to-bumper traffic in Meredith, New Hampshire, we arrived at an empty lobby and a deserted check-in desk. A sign said, “To check in, call this number.” Fortunately, a human being picked up my call and told me to drive or walk four blocks to another hotel at the edge of town. I wasn’t about to drive, because I didn’t want to give up our precious, hard-earned parking place. Leaving our luggage in the car, we braved the tropical heat and humidity and snaked our way to a distant and poorly marked central check-in desk at one of the four, lake front hotels owned by the same Rhode Island based corporation. The overworked agent told us that she was the only person handling the check in for all four hotels. This is what happens when distant “hospitality” corporations take over small town operations and cut 75% of the staff. If this is hospitality, ketchup is a vegetable. On the plus side, our room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was excellent. I can single out Dilly who came all the way from Bulgaria. One caveat: The hunt for dinner is Darwinian (at least in August). If you want to eat before 9 pm, make a reservation the day before.

My family and I just returned from a week in New Hampshire. We stayed at Chase House at Mills Falls. The stay was lovely, but unfortunately one of my family members fell ill (not Covid!) during our stay. She needed to be on somewhat of a special diet, which is difficult to do when staying in a hotel room with no kitchen. I sought help from the front desk and fortunately Daniel was on duty at this time. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help locate a microwave for our room and some additional kitchen supplies. To have someone go that extra mile for you, especially when trying to help a sick family member while on vacation, means a lot. Thank you, Daniel!

Service was great. Room was very comfortable with fireplace, Big TV, couches and spectacular view of the lake from private deck. We had 3 other couples and were able to socialize while still adhering to social distance rules. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back

We went to Meredith NH because my daughter's name is Meredith. If you are looking for a CLEAN place? This is not the place for you. In this time of COVID, it makes me wonder if any of the surfaces are actually wiped down in a timely manner. The buildings are in need of a good cleaning! Staff were nice but not all wore face masks. I observed 2 cleaning staff not wearing masks. There are no amenities that wowed us. Guests are charged a $30 resort fee. I was not notified of this when I made the reservation or when I checked in. You may want to ask in advance that the beds have the proper linens. My beds did not have mattress pads. My son's blanket looked like someone smeared chocolate on the blanket. Flat screen TVs were not in a good location. Bedroom is was parallel with the bed. In the living room the TV was off to the side of the couch.

We decided to stay at the chase House rather than their flagship Church Landing. First, we found the the staff to be courteous and most services to be good. The problem was the balcony. We had an end room which afforded a nice view of the Lake and downtown park. The problem was no one had cleaned the balcony in a long time. There was evidence of spider residue everywhere and mold in corners and on the building walls. We had to ask the maid to wash the rails which were covered in bird poop. The building is old and desperately needs power washing.

Thank you for staying with us and for your recognition of the courteous associates and quality services. While I am happy the Housekeeper was able to respond and make the balcony ready for use, it is unfortunate we missed that detail prior to your arrival. I will be sure to pass along to the supervisors in that department so they may follow up.

Our room with a view of the lake was beautiful at this inn and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The TV was huge, there was complimentary coffee in the lobby, and a great choice of restaurants within walking distance, including Camp, which is on the bottom floor.

We have stayed here several times in the past and loved it. There are now new owners and our experience this time was lacking. No one available at the front desk to check us in or out. You were required to cross the street to another inn to take care of this. That desk only had one employee, so there was a line and a wait. The buildings are starting to show their age and the grounds are not being maintained with weeds everywhere. We were hopeful that the new owners would maintain the standards the previous owner had, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Thank you for choosing to return and stay with us again. It is most unfortunate to read that we may have missed opportunities to exceed your expectations. We are committed to ensuring all of our guests have a quality and memorable experience. We have many exciting things that have been completed and that are in the works. We have upgraded all rooms with new flat screen 55' TV's, new plush mattresses and our order of new bed linens is on the way. Our gardeners and landscapers are hard at work making the grounds beautiful and inviting. Hopefully you may consider a return visit so you may experience these improvements first hand.

Wonderful event, great food, friendly and attentive staff for New Years Eve Party and next day brunch. Camp Restaurant, Lakehouse Grill were very good. New Year's Eve event was excellent, from cocktail hour, dinner and dancing and fireworks.
