We are currently staying at the Lodge with my family for a winter skiing vacation. The room is not vacuumed and after the first day of skiing the floor is covered in dirt and salt that we bring inside after skiing. This is our third day in the hotel and it seems that no one has cleaned the floor. The same is true for the bathroom which is so important especially during a pandemic. We saw the housecleaning person on our first day just remove the trash and do the beds. No moping or vacuuming and the bathroom seemed as it was not cleaned at all. All the housekeeping does is fix the beds with the same sheets that don’t seem clean for a third day in a row and put fresh towels. Nothing else. For $299 a night is Not Worth It. And in the main resort the food is way overpriced and choices very limited.

The Lodge has an excellent location a short bus ride away from the ski area. We were also able to go and have dinner at the Mount Washington Hotel, right across the street. The lodge itself does not have breakfast, but has coffee and tea in the morning and a small shop to get food. The room was clean and it was easy to get in & out of with skis & ski boots. Our room had a small refrigerator so we were able to bring some food for ourselves.

I brought my wife and two children up skiing for there first time. We decided to stay a lodge to save a little bit of money and put it towards the children's ski school. I am happy we did. The staff was very friendly. The room is what I expected it to be. House keeping did a fantastic job keeping up with the heavy volume of ski families staying there. The beds were very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pool. The view of Mt. Washington was spectacular. I highly recommend staying at the lodge especially to young families or anyone on a budget.

I have just returned from a weekend at Bretton Woods. We stayed at The Lodge and unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. We have been coming to Bretton Woods for years as our daughter (8) participates in the New England Disabled Sports program. We typically rent a condo or stay at the main hotel, but this weekend it was just three of us and the vacation week price at the hotel was far too much so we opted to take a room at the Lodge. We arrived at 10:30 pm to find a handwritten sign on the door of the Lodge telling us that we needed to go to the main hotel across the street to check in. It was -18 degrees and my 8 year old was asleep in the car. Once we were checked in and back at the Lodge, we trekked up the stairs to our room. Upon entry, there was dirt on the floor of our room. The boot trays by the door were caked with salt and sand and did not appear to have been cleaned for quite some time. The tiles in the bathroom floor were also dirty and chipped. Parts of the door were falling onto the floor. The drain in the shower did not work correctly so when taking a shower, the water was midway up my calves. The shower then dripped all night long each night. There were cobwebs around the room including on the sprinkler head on the wall. We found hair (not ours) in the bed and the sheets were stained. My husband put a towel on his pillow so he would not have to put his head on it. The bed was made each day but the trash was not removed and the small sink near the closet was not cleaned. The toiletries in the bathroom were old and had apparently exploded and were leaking. As I said, we have loved coming to Bretton Woods for years with our family of 5. Each of our children has learned to ski at Bretton Woods and as I mentioned, the NEDS program has been wonderful for our daughter. She survived a stroke in utero and has loved the individual attention she has gotten from the amazing coaches. Unfortunately our room in the Lodge (202) is in a state of disrepair. In addition to that, the cleaning crew did a less than acceptable job each day. For the over $800 we spent on three nights at the Lodge, we certainly did not feel the cleanliness or overall state of the room was acceptable. We chose not to complain because honestly, even if the room had been cleaner, the general state of disrepair and grime would not have been remedied quickly. I initially sent this as an email to the manager of the Lodge and the Omni Mt Washington Hotel but have not received any response. We will not stay at the Lodge again. While we would like to return to Bretton Woods, we will certainly think twice about where we choose to stay. The overall amenities of Omni are excellent and for our daughter , who does have a physical disability, staying on the mountain is ideal and she (and we) absolutely loves the NEDS program. Unfortunately as I mentioned, the accommodations at the Lodge are subpar and not at all worth what we paid.

This is the first room I have stayed at in the last hundred nights of travel that did not have a coffee maker in the room. I finally got one after complaining to the Mt Washington hotel which I had stayed at several times. If you like a super soft bed then stay here but as a skier I need my body to recover overnight on a firm bed. The pool is another joke. You have to walk the entire distance of the motel to get to it in a wet bathing suit at 15 degrees, right. There is either too much heat or nothing and made it very uncomfortable. In their breakfast area there is only a coffee machine in what appears to be a breakfast area on their website but NOT. If you can’t afford the Mt Washington Hotel then don’t waste your money here.

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. Although the Lodge is an economical option for guests of the resort, we apologize that the bedding and temperature controls were inadequate for you. The Lodge does not offer breakfast, but guests are welcome to take advantage of the complimentary on-call shuttle service to dine at any of the other breakfast options around the resort. Again, our apologies for an uncomfortable stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our other lodging properties in the future.

We checked in on Friday, January 17th around 10:00 p.m. after a 4.5 hour drive from Massachusetts. The outside temperature was -14 degrees and at some point during the night the heat stopped working and it was unbearably cold. We reported the issue to the front desk on our way to skiing that morning and when we returned around 4:00 p.m. it was still freezing in our room. Maintenance brought us a space heater which I find to be incredibly dangerous even with safety features. We had to rely on the space heater until we checked out on Monday, January 20th. Another issue we had was that our room key stopped working on Sunday, January 19th which meant we had to go to the front desk each time to be let in. For the amount of money we spent to stay at the Lodge I expected to find better accommodations. Unfortunately our family will not be returning in the future. I emailed the manager to express my frustrations about our recent stay and they never responded..

We arrived Friday for a wedding on Saturday across the street at the Omni. They were unable to provide keys to our room and we had to be let in by staff everytime we wanted to get back in our room. We were told we had to be back to our room by 11:00 or we couldn't get back in our room. We did not get keys until late Saturday. We could not buy water bottles for our room because the system was down. What did management offer or what special arrangements did they make to address this issue. Nothing. I understand things happen but if it is handled appropriately it can be forgiven. The fact that nothing was done or offered is really bad business. I paid well over $400 for a room that i didn't have access to and when I asked for a discount i was told no. They should have discounted the rooms, offered free meal at the Omni or something. To do nothing shows you don't care about your customers.

We had reservations at The Lodge for two nights. When first arrived we were told by the Front Desk that the electronic keys were out of service. This resulted in having to be let in by someone at the main office each time we arrived back to our room. Apparently the entire resort had the same issue. Learning that the front desk at the Lodge was only occupied until 11pm we had to make sure of our timely return. They keys were brought back on line at 4pm the next day. But the real issue was that all the rooms were filthy. All that was done each day was beds changed and new towels dropped off. I was shocked to see that the bathroom toilet and all the rugs was disgusting. You couldn’t walk on any floor without shoes on, gritty everywhere. Undoubtedly not cleaned in sometime. Compared to the Inn, this facility has no right to call themselves an Omni Hotel. We talked to other guests of the Wedding and everyone said the same thing. For almost $500 for two nights, it was a dump.

We love the Lodge! It's no-frills, comfortable, friendly, parking is very convenient, it's reasonably priced -- considering the steep charge for a room at the legendary joint across the road -- and most importantly for us it's the closest hotel to the alpine ski slopes and base lodge (cafeteria, bar, restaurant, and a ski supplies shop). We come to Bretton Woods to ski & spend time with old friends -- our lodging needs are limited to a comfortable room where we can shower, sleep, and spin up for the day ahead. The Lodge is right on target for us! Our 4-night stay over this past new year's holiday ran to a total of $277 per night, including tax & resort fee. By contrast, our room charge at the Mount Washington Hotel two years ago over the new year's holiday came to slightly over $800 per night. The latter is a beautiful, grand hotel offering many amenities.... that we don't need but to which we have full access as Lodge guests. Compared to the Hotel, the Lodge is far more appropriate and a far better value for what we want. We'll definitely return!

First question- where is the $300 plus taxes ($335) per night being allocated at this Lodge? It’s dingy, under staffed and more like a $75/night motel. Second ? - Where do they get anywhere close to 2 or more stars as a rating? The website is completely misleading, making ski vacationers believe this “establishment” is a part of the beautiful Omni Mount Washington hotel that is located across the street. Although they may be “affiliated” with access to the Mt. Washington hotel’s pool, restaurants, etc., the buildings are completely separate and the level of comfort & cleanliness are at opposite ends! We stayed one night due to it being our only option when we checked in late afternoon but then checked out at 6:00 am the next morning. The pictures below are what we found when we stepped into our extremely overpriced, old, unkept room. Save your money and book at a nearby place that is cheaper and nicer.
