Wonderful stay in every way. Our hosts Doug & Adrian were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome .. and have a great sense of humour with good bants. A special shout-out to the breakfasts too, which were top-end with great produce .. and our room which was a Louise Brooks Art Deco inspired treat. If we found ourselves your neck of the woods again, we wouldn't hesitate to find our way to you.

This has to be the best B &B ever. Parking, cosy ensuite rooms with pictures creatively placed, charming interesting hosts, lovely garden, amazing 1600 building, very decent vegan breakfast, and when I was there two dogs and a cat. All this for a very reasobale cost.

A warm welcome was provided by the hosts in this beautiful home / property. The quality of the accommodation, hospitality and food far exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this as a real alternative to the ubiquitous stop-overs. I shall return when next in the area

This is a large property with good-sized rooms and ample parking, a little off the beaten track but perfectly driveable in daylight. The route would benefit from clearer signage as you get closer to the property, and could be tricky to find after dark. We were welcomed by our charming owner hosts Doug & Adrian who went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was comfortable and accommodating for my wife and daughter and I to overnight in one well-appointed and comfortable bedroom. The property is large and provides nice, scenic walks. Breakfast was fabulous and we proceeded next morning feeling refreshed and extremely well fed.

Had a wonderful warm welcome and stayed in a lovely room. The place is very old, so has lots of character. I couldn't stay for the breakfast, as had to leave early. Would love to come back here. There is plenty of parking at the back. It is in a very quiet village.

Splatthayes, located in the village of Buckerell near Honiton, is in a beautiful part of the South Devon countryside. It is by far the best B & B I have ever stayed in - the house is lovely, the beds really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Doug and Adrian were the perfect hosts and so friendly. I only wish I could have stayed longer than one night! I would highly recommend this B & B without any hesitation.

If there were more than 5 stars this lovely B & B would be deserving. The hosts, Dougie & Adrian, were charming & gracious & we were so appreciative of their attention to detail. Our room on the ground floor was full of treasures, comfortable & clean & the en suite modernised to a good standard. Breakfast was an absolute treat, many cereals to choose from, yoghurts & fresh berries. The cooked breakfasts were amazing with delicious home grown tomatoes, eggs as you like them, sausage, bacon, baked beans & a choice of breads & toast. Fresh butter, jams & juice were provided as well as coffee, fresh roasted or tea of choice. Can't recommend this lovely retreat highly enough.

Really enjoyed our one night stay in beautiful Devon village location with narrow lanes! Attention to detail for accommodation was very good. We had a lovely breakfast with local sausages too. Very friendly & highly recommended.
